Before today, I had never heard of YawpBox. Have you? If not, I’ll fill you in. It’s a site that you can go to and watch user created movies and such. This was a bad find for me, because I am easily addicted to sites like this, so yes, you can imagine that I sat here for quite a while watching videos today. There’s a lot to choose from as far as categories go and you can upload your own videos as well, so that others can view and vote on them. I love seeing everyday people doing funny or amazing things and this is a great place to find that kind of entertainment. A very neat part of the site is the Lex & Terry Challenge, where you are given homework. They give you an idea for a video (the homework) and you get to work and create it. I really like that because I normally have a hard time coming up with ideas when I want to do something. If you have ever wanted to have your fifteen minutes of fame, then this is a great way. Yeah, this is going to be one of “those” posts. Why can’t men get anything done right? I was on my way out the door this morning to get medicine for Jesse, when Keith announces that he wants to go get it. Fine with me, just make sure you get the right kind. Naturally, he came home with the wrong thing. I knew he would. So, now I’m having to practically force this crap down Jesse’s throat and it isn’t easy. Being sick is bad enough, but having to take hellacious medicine is too much.

So, I received some samples of some Grey Poupon mustards this week in return for my honest opinion. Ready? Let’s go. I have always hated mustard. I do not know why, but I refuse to eat it, so one would think that my opinion shouldn’t count, since I didn’t like it to begin with. One would be wrong, because I forced myself to try it and ended up really liking it. The hearty spicy brown was my favorite of the two. I don’t like spicy foods at all, and although it was spicy, it was still good. The harvest coarse ground looked odd to me at first, because of it actually being coarse, but it was good as well. I will warn you though, the harvest coarse ground is very spicy. After eating it, my tongue sizzled a little, but as far as taste goes, you’ll like it. Now, if you haven’t tried it yet, go out and buy some. I’ll put a recipe below so that you won’t be able to say that you couldn’t think of anything to try it on. A Simple Ham Sandwi...

Throwing Up Is Hard To Do

I heard Jesse whimpering all night long last night. I kept waking him up because I thought he was having bad dreams, but he said that he wasn’t. So, I get up this morning, look at him and immediately run to get a towel. He kept saying that he was fine, but I knew he was only seconds away from throwing up. He managed to mark 3 different rooms today. I don’t know what gets wrong with him, but every so often, he does this. It’s not a virus, it’s like his body just does it. He feels fine, doesn’t act sick, but can’t keep anything down. He hasn’t thrown up for the past 3 hours, but that’s probably because he hasn’t taken anything in. Maybe tomorrow will be better for him.

I really don’t like it when people repeat themselves. Keith is horrible about doing this to me. I’m not sure if he just doesn’t remember that he already told me, or if he thinks that I wasn’t listening the first time. He’s always coming in and telling me about work and what he had to do and I really don’t care. So, I pretend to listen while he rambles on about what he did with this or how he did with some Cat 5 cables, and I just nod my head and smile. My mind will be somewhere completely different than the topic he’s discussing, but I’m not sure that he knows this. He just might though, because sometimes he repeats it to me for a third time.

Why can’t life always be easy. I’d much rather prefer not to have to struggle to get things done, but nothing ever seems to go as planned. I would like to just cruise along at a slow pace for a while, but it isn’t going to happen. If only there was a program for life like the assisted living software that would make living a breeze. And, I know that if Jill reads this, she’ll just love how I pulled that one off.

I just noticed that we crossed the 20,000 viewers mark. Not bad for this site being less than a year old. Although, 19,000 of them probably came from Australia. I have been putting up money like crazy so far this year. I always start out good and then end up blowing it. I was figuring up how much I’ve saved so far the other day, and well, some of it is gone. I did what I normally do when money is missing and went out to the carport to inspect. I didn’t notice any new truck accessories this time, but I did find a few new items on the boat. Did he honestly think that I wouldn’t notice? Has he seriously lost his mind? He’s not supposed to be buying anything new for that boat right now, but he hasn’t stopped. So, it sounds like it’s time that I took a shopping trip…

Two Front Teeth

Jesse has finally lost both of his two front teeth. He lost the first one a few weeks ago and the other was loose then, but he held on to it as long as he could. I checked it last night and it was barely hanging on, so I tricked him into letting me go ahead and pull it. He screamed every time I went near his mouth, and it only took one little tug to get it out. He was so excited after it was out and immediately wanted to call and tell his Mema and Papa. He’s now doing that tongue thing where every time you look at him, he has his tongue stuck through the hole. I’m just glad it’s out. It had been loose for so long and him gums were getting really sore around it.

Clean Carpet

I am not a fan of carpet at all, I never have been, but I can tolerate it as long as it is clean. I cleaned the carpet in our den about a week ago, but apparently it wasn’t good enough for Kel’s standards. This morning, he decided to go and pour an entire bottle of dish detergent out into the carpet in there. I was furious. While I was cleaning that mess up, he went off into the living room and crumbled cookies all over the floor. I really could have used a Dyson vacuum today. I really need a new vacuum, and have wanted a Dyson vacuum for quite a while. I’ve never heard anything but good reviews about them. They are a little pricey, but when something works well, it’s worth paying the price. I’m always given household items as gifts, so maybe I’ll add a Dyson vacuum to the list of things we need around here.

My Mama came up with a great idea for everyone in my family. She’s decided that she wants everyone to get healthier. Some need to lose weight and some need to build strength. The deal is that for every pound you lose, you put $1 in. For every pound you gain, you put $2 in. I am at a disadvantage here, but I think I’m going to give it a shot. Knowing my family, I can take off three pounds and have this in the bag. I only need to work on my strength, so I might join a gym. I’ve always wanted to be one of the cool moms working out on the ellipticals. This would be good for the things I have to do with Jesse, and would also be an easy way to get a little extra cash. Wish me luck!

I have eaten so much today. I woke up way too early this morning and just started cooking. I had eaten lunch by 9:30, only to look at the clock and say, “What in the hell? It’s no where near lunch time!”. So yeah, I ate lunch several times today and now I don’t feel like moving. My tummy is talking and I do believe it’s saying “ENOUGH!!!”. It’s just been a really boring day, and I tend to snack when I get really bored. Tomorrow has to be better, or I’m not going to be able to fit into my clothes.

So, I have been trying to really figure out what I want to do with my life and get on the right path this year. I know I need to go to school, but for what? What can I do that I would enjoy? I know I would love to work with children, especially special needs children. They have a special place in my heart, you know. I have thought about becoming some type of therapist, and then I could work with kids that have conditions like spina bifida or cerebral palsy. I think that would be the perfect career for me.

I never snort when I laugh. Never. I mean, seriously… N.E.V.E.R.! While chatting online tonight with a friend, we were laughing over stuff listed on craigslist. I found out that you can get free turnip roots there… What a deal. We went on discussing things and something really funny came up and I start laughing and snorted… Yes, I snorted. This freaking cold has made me where I can’t breathe, so laughing is very hard. Just remember… Friends don’t let friends snort alone. Come on, everyone do it with me.

Sleep Needed

Kel has been sick for the past few days, and I’m suffering from it. He woke up about every 15 minutes last night. Then decided to stay up and play from about 2 a.m. until around 4 a.m. Then he woke up at 6:30 for good. I slept on the couch a little while he watched tv. It was a very rough night. I think we need a new bed. Keith’s been looking at some platform beds, but I don’t know what I really want. I just need Kel to get better, then I’d rest better. A new bed isn’t going to help that.

Yeah, yeah. I’m late as usual, but at least I got it in before the day was over with. I hope you all had a great day, and wish you the best year ever. I had a pretty good day. How can someone be sitting in front of a computer and not be able to find a number to a store? I have explained to my dear, sweet husband that he can find anything online, but he never learns. He has searched the house over, looking for a phone book and getting mad at everyone because he can’t find it. You can find nearly anything online, from a charlotte cosmetic dentist to the tractor supply store he was needing to call, but I can’t get that through his head. I guess I am going to have to nail the phone book to the desk so that he can find it next time.

I have been playing the Wii too much and haven’t did any of the things that I was supposed to do. The house needs cleaning, the laundry needs washing, and the kitchen is a disaster. Yet, I sit here thinking that as soon as everyone goes to bed, I am going to drag the recliner in front of the tv and play until I can no longer hold my eyes open. I can play the boxing game while they’re up, but they won’t let me play the others because it isn’t much fun to just sit and watch. They know how much I love video games and they are just being mean by not letting me play!

It seems that there is a case of male pms going on around here. Everyone’s in a bad mood, except me. Keith isn’t speaking to me, Jesse seems depressed, and Kel wants to kill everyone that walks in the door. I don’t even want to be inside lately. I’d rather go for walks to get away from all the bad attitudes. Today was bad, but not as bad as yesterday. I hate having to be in the same house with someone that acts like you’re not even there.

All of the sweets are finally gone. It’s time for me to go back to eating my salads and fruit. I didn’t do so bad on sweets this Christmas. I normally pig out and then slap a diet patch across my mouth afterwards. I don’t really even like sweets, but I eat them like crazy during holidays. I’m just glad that it’s over and I can still fit in my jeans, even if I do have to lay down to zip them…

Over the past week, I have written nearly every member of my family a note. With each note I attached something that always makes me think of them like a rock, a string or a cotton ball. Each of them have looked at me like I was crazy after handing them the card with some odd object attached to it, but then after reading the letter, they understood why it was there. Each of them have had the same thought… They think I’m dying because this is so unlike me… Guess what?!?! I’m still alive…. (teeheehee)

You know those setting on things like lawnmowers? That’s how I felt today. Going to therapy was a nightmare. The interstate is still under construction and they closed part of the southbound lane today, so that sent all of the traffic onto my nice little quiet back road that I have been taking lately. I was not a happy camper. If I could have, I would have nicely shoved each vehicle out of my way, but I couldn’t do that. If it’s like that next week, they might want to check into getting some life insurance quotes. Then, coming home, it was like I was on a racetrack. I was in between several semi trucks and they were moving on. I was a happy girl. Anyways, we made the trip safely and had good things said about Jesse at therapy. It’s always nice to hear things like that, when I normally only hear complaints about him.
