I am seriously having trouble getting back into my daily routine. I haven’t had much time for anything. I should have quite a bit of free time now that the holidays are over with, but I don’t. I don’t know where it went, but I’d really like to have it returned to me. It owes me a few naps, a few long baths, and some much needed quiet time. So Christmas is almost officially over, and I am really excited about it. I only took a gift for my mother-in-law. I figured that if the others wanted gifts, they could buy them for their selves. They don’t buy for me anyways, so why buy for them. Ok, that sounds like I’m a grinch, but I guess I am in ways. I am just so overly excited that I am finished with it all, and can now go back to a nice, quiet, normal life!

Kel has been waking me up around 6 a.m. every morning this week. I am so freaking sleepy right now. He’s running around like a wild animal and I can barely keep my eyes open. I haven’t talked to many people online at night lately, because I am just too tired. I don’t think I could keep up with a conversation with my eyes closed. I’m going to try to keep him up later tonight and see if that helps any.

I spend so much time at home, bored out of my mind. So, what do I do to pass the time? I chat. I went shopping today and managed to find gifts for everyone that I had left to buy for. Then, I came home and started wrapping and realized that I haven’t bought anything for my sister’s step kids. So, I still have two more gifts to buy before Sunday (we’re having our Christmas with my family on Sunday). I was so happy to finally be finished, only to have it crushed with me remembering two names… Stupid memory!

I always wanted a beach wedding, but ended up having a church wedding instead. My youngest sister was married on the beach, though. It was a very simple, yet beautiful wedding. If I had to do it over again, I would pass up the church and head straight for the beach. I would love to pass on the bridal gown and go for more of a relaxed wedding, that would be more my style. I had went almost two weeks with very little spam… Then today it started back. One would think that after several attempts to spam my blog, these idiots would give up… But no! They won’t. Ok, I am really ready to be finished with Christmas. I was doing so good. By December 1st, I had almost everything bought, then I took a break from shopping and now here it is almost here and I have yet to finish. I am stuck on figuring out what to get those left on my list. It’s to the point that I might have to go to some furniture stores and buy lamps or something. I really have no idea of what to get these people. My parents are the easiest to buy for, and yet, they are the hardest this year. Buying for people that have everything is the worst.

I tend to be saying that a lot lately. I guess it’s a defense I use to keep others from getting too close to me or finding out too much information. The truth is, I am really ok. No matter what happens, I am always ok. So I deal with things a little differently than most people, but that’s just me. I’m to the point that if you don’t like me, you don’t have to deal with me. That is for everyone, my family included. I sat here today, surrounded by my family, and actually let them know that I didn’t care for the way that most of them treated me. A few left a little unhappy with me, but that’s life. I really have to fix things in my life that bother me or make me unhappy, and the rest are just going to have to deal with it. I’m actually feeling pretty good at the moment…

I guess I am back to using my desktop again. I thought I would really love having a laptop, but it just isn’t as good. It doesn’t have near the space on it that my desktop does, so I don’t load pictures or programs on it. At least I have it for when we go on vacation, though. It’s currently sitting on top of my desk, where it has been for the past week. It’s funny how sometimes we want things because we think they’ll be so much better than what we have, only to find out that they aren’t.

It is cold as **** outside. Why must we go from a high of 79 to a high of 58 in 24 hours? This just sucks. I hate when the temperature drops that fast, it always ends up making me sick. We did get some much needed rain last night. Not enough to take us out of a drought, but it helps. I’m going back to the couch to snuggle up with a blanket.

There are several things that I want, but have yet to get myself. I could ask for them for Christmas, but I really do not like having to say what I want. There are a few things that I want for my camera, one of them being another lithium battery. The battery that came with my camera only lasts for 2 hours, and it takes quite a while to charge, so I really do need an extra one. I also want another lens, but that’s going to have to wait until I finally finish up buying gifts for everyone else. I’ll get what I want eventually.

So, yeah, my life has gone crazy. I don’t really know what I’m doing any more, but I do have a few things figured out. Working out plans for my future really sucks, but I’m getting it done. I could just run away to some Vegas rooms, but I know that wouldn’t solve anything. So, I am just going to have to stick it out and figure everything out. Being an adult really sucks sometimes. I liked the days where I could just not deal with things and it would all work out.

They’re Back

I rarely remember my dreams, but for the past two nights, I have had crazy dreams. Both nights, I dreamed that I was being mugged. The first night the guy came up to me with a knife and said, “Hey B**ch! Gimme your purse!” Then last night he came up to me with a little pocket knife and said, “Please hand me your purse.” The rest of the dream was the same on both nights. The only difference is how he asked for my purse. I have woken up both nights from laughing in my sleep. The dreams always end with me beating him up and then taking his knife and running away. I can’t figure out why I take his knife or would even think to, but I do. It’s a crazy dream, but I keep waking up happy from it, so I guess it isn’t a bad thing.

It is unbelievably beautiful outside. It’s sunny and warm, but not too warm. There are no clouds and I hate that my kids will not let me stay out there all day. I could use some sun, I swear I glow in the dark now. I took a few good pics while out earlier, but haven’t had time to save them to my computer yet. I might share a few of them later.

Who knew having to write could be so stressful. I’ve only just began to get caught up and I’m already tired. So, I’m taking a short break. I might force my kids to take a walk with me, since it isn’t cold outside. As much as I love to be outside, you would think that they would too. They don’t though. I might even take my camera outside with me, since I haven’t even touched it in quite a while, but don’t expect any pictures of me because it’s Saturday and I haven’t even brushed my hair yet. It’s always nice to have a good nights sleep. It always seems to make me feel better. Ok, truth be told, I only got 3 hours because I stayed up playing pool online until 3 because I couldn’t sleep and then Kel woke me up a little after 6. He’s already destroyed the house, but I’ll fix it back after he goes to sleep. I’m going to get busy now and do what writing I need to do. I’ve slacked enough.

I always miss my grandmother really badly around this time of the year. Holidays have never been the same since I lost her. I spent so much of my childhood at her house. I am not sure when her house was built, but it was very old and I was always scared at night. She always let me sleep with her so that I wouldn’t be scared, but I still was. I would lay in bed at night, staring at the ceiling and listening to the tick tock of her grandfather clock. I have one of her clocks, but it does not work and I do not trust sending it off to have it worked on, so I’d like to buy one that is similar to it. She had several throughout her house, but the main one I remember was in her living room. There’s one over at Howard Miller clocks that is very close to it.
