Too Close

Sometimes I sit here and write post after post and never am able to hit publish. I seem to go too deep into myself and end up not wanting others to know what’s going on. I know that most of what I write would have each of you reading and analyzing everything and then lending your thoughts, and that’s just what I can’t handle. Just when I want to write more personally and get it all out, I can’t. So, I sit here writing and writing and then deleting. Not being able to open up to everyone really sucks at times. I know it would help to get it out, but then I have the problem of not liking to be judged. So, I’ll keep it to myself and not bother others… And don’t go freaking out, I’m really ok.

Yes, you really make me sick. You, with your weirdos danging around singing about heartburn, diarrhea, upset stomach… Pepto Bismol really makes me sick. I see those damn commercials and immediately start thinking that I’m about to puke. Are they having this effect on anyone else, or just me? Why can’t they just say “use this when you’re not feeling so well”? I can’t stand the sight of these people dancing around while holding their tummies or asses. It’s worse than seeing a commercial for tampons… Keep that crap off my tv!

I have met some of the best people online. Some of you are what keeps me going. I would give anything to get to meet each and every one of you. I think we should all get together and plan a vacation. You could all take Flights to USA, and we could just hang out. It would be really cool to get to travel around to different places together. You could all take your vacations as Holidays to USA and spend it with me. Do I sound lonely? Well, yes, I am, but I also want to meet quite a few of you. We could all just get flights to New York. I’m sure that would keep us busy for however long you could stay. Oh, and if you should decide to, make sure you use Dialaflight so that you will get a great deal!

I haven’t really written much about me lately, well, not that I can remember… So, here’s an update. I’m actually doing quite well lately. Things aren’t so great at home, but that’s normal. I’m nearing my ten year anniversary, and that’s the deadline that I gave my marriage. Anyways, we’ll see when the time comes. Other than the normal problems, life’s great. I have no complaints. I’ve been in an odd mood lately… I think it’s trouble. I haven’t really been caring about what others think of me and I’ve just been doing what makes me happy. Trouble? Maybe. Good for me? Yes.

People are always talking computer talk to me, and although I am not new to computers, I do not know what a lot of things are. I do not know about external drives or fiber optic cables, but I do know codes. I get really confused when you start adding too many accessories to a computer. I like the basics and that’s about it. Sometimes, too much is just that… Too much.

So, yeah, I went a couple of days without posting, but I have a real excuse. I’ve been busy. Ok, so that isn’t a real excuse, but I’ve had other things taking up my free time and well, writing here just wasn’t as satisfying. The holiday season is really draining our checking account. It’s this time of year that I always end up wishing that we had decided to go with the cheap mortgages. Having a monthly payment that requires so much of your income isn’t easy, especially when you add in all the extra money required for gifts. It almost makes me want to consider remortgages to make the payment more affordable. I always advise people that are considering purchasing a home to seriously consider the length of time that it will take to pay mortgages off and to make sure that they can comfortably afford them. Having a home is more important than buying gifts, but having a home that you can’t afford is useless.

I may be from Georgia, and I may talk a little slow, but I ain’t stupid. I have been dealing with someone for 2 days about a line of code in a post and they wouldn’t listen to me because they automatically assume that people are dumb and do not know what they’re doing. I may not be the smartest person, but I am no where near being the dumbest. I am not educated when it comes to websites and links and things, but I am self taught. When I say something is wrong and that it needs to be fixed, just listen to me because I know what I’m talking about. Don’t make me go through several emails of you constantly saying that I am doing something wrong, only to end up having to email me and admit that it is a problem on your end and that you will fix it. Some people in this world really need to learn that there are smart people out there and that they shouldn’t treat others as idiots.

I have so much stuff in my house that I need to get either rid of or at least organized. I’d like to get it done room by room. What I really need to do is bring in some New York movers to get the job done. Those guys don’t waste time. Jesse has had 5 loose teeth for the longest time. One on the bottom has been flopping for days and I’ve tried several times to pull it. He’ll always move and say that it’s sore and I’ll leave it alone. Well, yesterday it was practically laying upside down, so I said that it needed to come out. I received several calls today from different people needing ideas of what to buy this one or that one. Why on earth they think that I know everyone so well is beyond me. I guess I do know everyone better though. I’m the quiet and observant one, so I pick up more on the details of everyone. I was trying to think of ideas for a couple of my brother-in-laws today and I was stumped. I know that one loves fishing, another loves hunting, but the other one I have no idea about. He’s really into cars and trucks, so maybe I should have said body shop supplies as an idea. I have a hard enough time buying gifts for those on my list, without having to help out all the others, but I do what I can.

I hate nighttime. I sit here and think I that I heard something and then my mind creates another noise. I was doing laundry, but had to stop so that I could have total silence in the house. I’m sleepy and ready for bed, but I can’t go to sleep when my nerves are going crazy. I like Keith working these hours, because it gives me some quiet time. I don’t like it on nights like tonight, though. This will probably be one of those nights that he works late, and I’ll end up sitting here yawning until he comes in. I’m such a scaredy cat.

I have had my eye on Johnny Depp since I was a fairly young girl. He has always been one of the cutest males I have ever seen. I have watched him grow from a young guy on 21 Jump Street all the way up to the absolutely handsome man he is today. You know that line “I want to have your babies!”, well, that’s about how I feel about him. I do not watch many movies, but if I catch a glimpse of him in one, I will sit down and watch the entire thing. He tends to hold my attention very well. I adored him in ‘What’s Eating Gilbert Grape’. The Happy Ending

I’ve just been handed the happy ending to a not completely great day. Keith just walked in very late and I knew something was wrong. He handed me a piece of paper that apparently is a ticket. I’m glad I didn’t say anything, because I was about to fuss at him for speeding… He got a ticket for not having a tag light, and for driving with an expired license. Apparently, his license has been expired for a year and he didn’t know it. The jerk could have given him a warning or something. His driving record is as clean as mine. Not a single speeding ticket… Nothing. Now I have to get up early tomorrow and take him to get his license renewed… Then we’ll go and pay the stupid ticket on the way home. I feel really bad for him. He talked like the cop was a complete jerk. Sometimes it really sucks that men don’t have boobs to rely on.

I can stand for things to be out of place, it causes me to malfunction. Currently, Kel is rolling around in Jesse’s old wheelchair and Keith is sleeping on the couch. No, I didn’t kick him out of the bed, he actually got up with the rest of us this morning and came in here to sleep on the couch. I can’t stand it. He needs to get back in bed if he wants to sleep. I’m trying to do school work with Jesse and having to listen to Keith snore while I’m trying to explain multiplication, and I’m about to lose it. I need for things to be in their places or today isn’t going to go so well.

The gifts I was wrapping earlier were the games for Jesse’s Wii that he’ll open on Christmas. They are unbelievably expensive. It will take a while to get a variety built up for him to play, but not as long of a time as I had originally thought. I have put so much thought, effort and money into giving my kids a good Christmas this year and it keeps going bad. It started with me putting the things I had for gifts in the living room, open, out on the table. No one ever goes in that room, especially the kids. Jesse went in there to watch tv one day and saw it all. I’m not sure that he really realized exactly what the gifts were, but he won’t talk about it so I have no idea. Today, I received some games for his Wii and was sitting in the floor wrapping them. I heard something move behind me and turned to see what it was… It was Jesse looking over my shoulder. He then asked to see what was in my hands and I told him to go away. He then said, “Ohhhh, those are more gifts for me?”. I just finished wrapping them and put them under the tree and tried to pretend that he didn’t see anything. He has seen almost everything that he’s getting… So much for surprises.

Just when I was getting so proud of myself for almost being finished with buying gifts, the bomb dropped. I have to do something for Kel’s birthday this weekend. His birthday is on Dec. 5th, so it has to be done this Saturday or no one will be able to come. We might just have to have a big birthday bash because my youngest niece turns 14 on Thursday, my oldest niece turns 19 on the same day as Kel… Do you see the problem? There’s not enough time between the birthdays to give them each a party. No Baby Fever

It seems that baby fever is going around. I must have taken the right vitamins because it hasn’t gotten me. My sisters and I received some photo birth announcements from a cousin the other day and they all sat around talking about how adorable the baby is and how it’s time for a new baby in our family since mine are growing up. I thought the baby was really cute, but in no way did it make me want another one. I have not lost my mind yet.

If you go at the right time, you can get to see the beautiful city along with some really great artwork. Going to the St. Augustine Artwalk would be a great weekend getaway. From now on, I will never join anything that requires me to use my phone number or home address. All day today there has been a number calling our house and leaving messages for me to return the call. I figured it was a wrong number until I came online to check my email and saw that this same person had been emailing me every time they called my house letting me know that they had called and left a message. How screwed up is this? So, now I’m about to email them back and ask them to stop calling and emailing me. It’s some work at home program that is supposed to earn me over $20,000 a month… Yeah, right. This is crazy. I can’t figure out where they got my number from, but I’ll never use it online again. I finally figured out what to get my sister and one of my nieces for Christmas. I ordered them each a shirt from Ralph Lauren that didn’t look too much like equestrian riding apparel. I am so out of the loop on fashion and what’s hot, so this wasn’t easy. I figured that as long as it was RL, it wouldn’t matter to them what I got. At least it knocked two more presents off of my list and didn’t leave me broke. Now, how many more to go… I have no idea.

I could so go for building a fire tonight. I’m freezing and have been since I woke up this morning. I have worn a jacket pretty much all day long and just can’t warm up. My feet are like ice. I am so ready for winter to be over with. When does the groundhog come out? Soon, I hope. I really can’t stand this weather. It’s 45 degrees outside, and I promise it can’t be much warmer than that inside. Everyone else is comfortable and get mad when I turn the heat up… I’m just going to have to lay on the blankets even thicker to make it through this.

I am a very independent person. I do not ask for help unless I absolutely cannot do something on my own. I hate being treated like I am just a girl and that I can’t do something or that I do not know what I am talking about. The last time we bought a vehicle, I knew something was wrong with it. It was less than three weeks old, so I took it back to the dealership and they test drove it and said everything was fine. I was furious because they would not listen to me. About a week later, I had my father take it to them and they found several things wrong and went to work on fixing it. I hate places that treat me like that, so now I use AAMCO. I have never been treated like I’m an idiot by them. They’re always very helpful and do not cost an arm and leg to get things fixed.
