Three Cruise Dreams

Well last night I remember having three distinct dreams. However, they all had a common theme, they were all about going on a cruise. The first dream, I remember walking down a very long deck of a ship. It was huge, and it seemed, rather, like it was a city block. We stopped in shops and looked around. But then suddenly we were in a hurry to get to an excursion, and get onto one of the life boats and make it in time. The second dream I remember being in the cafeteria on the ship. I was with my friends and, again, we needed to leave to go on an excursion. But I was hungry and wanted to eat. The food was good and I think there was jell-o there… The third dream we were finally on the life boats to get off the big ship. I have never been on a cruise so the life boats are what my brain made up. They were very small, may have even been blow-up boats. I hope I will remember more of this as it comes back to me. I woke up to a very lengthy and involved dream. And a pretty interesting one. Not bad at all. I remember being in a really large house. It was our house, I think, and it was long. As long as a warehouse and I think it used to be a warehouse. It was so long that we had to take a little cart from one side to the other, because it was just too far to walk. And I remember going to the warehouse part (as opposed to the living quarters part) though an underground tunnel. And reaching the other end there were some friends of mine. My old friend Ken, who I really want to call and just keep forgetting to do so. (My anxiety kicks in too though I know it’s silly.) Dreaming of a New Template

Well, I’m attempting to build a new template for this blog. I am going very slow, as it’s a bit difficult to learn. But I found this very excellent theme guide and I am stepping through the different options. I have the basic layout I want.. well, I want the right sidebar to reach the top of the browser, and not be below the header, not sure how to do that. I may do away with the header all together but I’ll have to see about that, too. My limited creativity is my biggest problem. But I do like the rounded corners. Not so sure I like the purples yet though. Colors.. ugh, I am not good at matching colors. Anyway, so please bear with as I redesign.

Flying on a Kite

I only remember a little of my dream from last night. I remember being with someone, a friend, I don’t know who it was… but he (I think it was a he) gave me this type of kite thing with lots of strings on it. I tied myself in, and it caught the wind and flew up, taking me with it. It was a small kite, probably no bigger than a couple feed wide. Rectangle. But boy it lifted me right off my feet, and he said I only have to go a little way up in case I get scared. But I wasn’t, and I let it take me high over Salt Lake City and I could see the whole city, trees, and we got close to the mountains and then landed in a field. It was fun.

My dreams have been pretty rare again lately. I think I had a dream last night, but when I try to remember it, it escapes me. I did love to sleep last night, though. It’s so cozy, and comfy, in my new bed. I love to sleep. I love to feel drowsy and just fade away. It’s one of my most favorite feelings in the entire world. Do you like to feel drowsy? Last night I dreamed about this dark blue sweatshirt I have (had) with a Zion ’s National Park image and words on the front. My parents got it for me when they visited a few years ago. I didn’t remember the dream until I opened up my wardrobe and it was the only one in the drawer, so I pulled it out and put it on. In the dream the sweatshirt was being destroyed somehow, by a grinder or a toilet or something. Flushing down and chopping up. Not sure. That is the only thing I remember. Later on today I watched a dog get hit by a car. I took the sweatshirt off, put it over him, gathered his broken body up and took him to the closest vet. So, not sure if my dream was a prediction or not, but the sweatshirt is now gone and ruined. I will miss it. I will miss the poor Italian Greyhound even more, though I didn’t know him. The vet told me his name was Gratzy after they contacted his family. I’m sorry little baby boy.

Camping in a Trailer

This morning when I was driving in to work there was a big truck tailgating me for a while. Naturally, I slowed down, and fortunately he passed me. It brought my dream from last night back into my memory. Strange how that happens. I was going camping with my flyball club, the Thunder Paws. I was in the truck my captain and her husband own, and he was driving and pulling their big trailer behind them. We drove up some curvy canyons and to a place I swear I have been to before in my dreams. I think I was water skiing at a lake up there in my high school dreams, and I think I was going to star parties up there when I did astronomy.. in my dreams. We drove around the camp ground and tried to find a camp spot, but they weren’t letting anyone on the grass like they used to because of all the rain. Too weird, I only remember a little from my dream last night. I was out to dinner with my sister, and we were both sitting at a bar or something like a bar. And eating. And someone on my right commented that she was gaining a lot of weight. Which is strange because she is doing nothing of the kind! Then I looked to my left and sure enough, she had probably put on about 30 pounds! Eeek! Too weird. Oh and the night before I dreamed that there was a lady who really wanted to adopt Tatum. She wouldn’t take no for an answer! So I did a house check on this lady. Her backyard was really sloped, and the top of the fence met the grass at one point, and any dog could have gotten out. She said she would fix it but wasn’t sure when. So I was passive-aggressive with her and told her we’d consider her, but in my heart there was no way I was going to let Tatum, the smooth collie girl, get adopted! She is ours forever, now.

Bathroom?

Okay last night I had a bathroom dream. Not sure how much detail you really want, but I’m going to describe it anyway because this is a dream diary right? LOL… so here goes. I had two dream segments last night but now I’m only remembering the bathroom one. Well.. wait, more is coming back… I remember going to a dog trial, not sure if it was agility or obedience, but obedience comes to mind since I went to my obedience class last night. So anyway, as I write more comes back. I remember being in a big barn and wanting to leave, but my friend who has Malinois and Shepherds, and another friend who has Vizslas, were in the stairway to get out. And my feather bed was also in the hallway. We had to move it and it was very hard to move because it was heavy. There were some straps from the ceiling and the friend with the Malinois and Shepherds cliped the feather bed onto the straps and hoisted it up. You know, I don’t dream of cars very often. I guess I sometimes have my car in my dreams, but I don’t really remember it much and I don’t think I have a lot of car dreams. And the car is not my primary dream focus. Though I seem to remember dreaming about my old truck a while ago… I loved that pickup truck. It was 14 when I finally traded it in. Anyway, sometimes Auto Loans can be hard to get, in real life… they are always easy to get in dreams! Well I haven’t been dreaming much at all the last few nights. At least I haven’t been remembering my dreams… and now, as I type this, I thought I had one from last night but I think it’s gone again… i remember a man, blondish, curly, a meeting room maybe… I think there may have been water in it too, but I’m not sure. I will probably remember when I lay down to go to bed tonight. I haven’t been feeling too well, either, and I think I either don’t dream much when I don’t feel well, or I have weird bad dreams. Well, I’d rather have some weird dreams than no dreams. Hrmph.

Going to Boise

Sometimes I remember my prior night’s dream best when I am going to bed for this night. As I laid down tonight this happened to me again. Just bits and pieces really… I remember going up north for something, it didn’t seem dog related though but that is the only reason I really go up there. And I was with a couple of friends, a man and a woman.. and we piled in the back of a car… or wait was that another dream? I am getting them mixed up tonight. Anyway once we were up north we decided that we wanted to make a bigger trip out of it and while most of our party was going to go south to get home, we were going to go to Boise Idaho. And I saw it on a map and it was mountainous and looked like fun, and near the ocean kinda like Seattle. I would love to go to Seattle… Boise, not so crazy about.

Last night my dreams were odd.. but of course they always are. The good part was Duncan and Leo and Me… Duncan and Leo were a couple of gay men, but I kinda think Duncan was bi.. anyway Duncan was very good looking and Leo was pretty fem. But they were very nice and I was great friends with them, and maybe something more? It didn’t really develop there. I was a woman in my dreams. I have never dreamed I was a man… well but then again maybe I have. Earlier in the evening I remember being in my old house in West Jordan with my current husband. We were fixing up the spare bedroom and I accidentally tipped over a huge bucket of water, probably 20 gallons or so. I had to drag out the shop vac to vacuum the water up. I stuck the exit hose (didn’t know they had them, that was not weird until I just wrote it now) out the window as I sucked up the water. Lately I’ve been doing a lot of social networking. Mostly for my blogs, and to find other interesting blogs I like to read. But I also recently joined LinkedIn, about a week ago, and I actually knew someone who already had an account and I linked to him. It is a place where you can put up your professional profile and meet others with the same interests, and also potentially find new employment. MoDazzle is a site where you can find lots of social networking sites, you can Connect to Linked In and Salesforce via mobile, also. It is so convenient to be able to connect via mobile devices. It makes it so easy nowadays to really keep connected with community and work. In addition to LinkedIn, they also work with SalesForce and Facebook, another couple of great community sites where we can find a lot of information and contacts. Water, Men, and Movies Dream

Well… not all at the same time. I had another long and winding dream last night. Woke up toward the end of it this morning. Let’s see if I can bring it all back to memory. It started where I was in my parents house. My Dad, unfortunately, was going through phases where he would forget where he was, who he was, and act silly. He could walk out into traffic and almost did so in front of their house. My sister was worried that this would happen to my Dad when he was watching her son, my nephew. My nephew was only about 3 years old in my dream. He’s actually 12 in real life. My sister had to go catch my Dad and nephew once when they were walking down the sidewalk and my Dad didn’t want to go back, he was acting like a stubborn child. Crabs in Water

Just a quick post, and happy Thanksgiving. Last night I had a dream before I woke up to go to the bathroom, I think it was around 3am, but I don’t remember it now. When I woke up the second time I was dreaming that my hermit crabs were in a big tank of water, and there were fish swimming around, and there was a hang on back filter. And they were huge again, and shed their shells. But they still looked like crabs. Was odd. I was in a big pet store at one point, too… hrm.

Carrot Snake

Well last night i didn’t dream of my ex… I dreamed of my ex boyfriend from back in the mid 1990s. Wow. I still talk to him once in a while, which is really nice. He’s a good person. It was really odd… I was at this sort of conference meeting type thing, not for work, personal. And there were a bunch of people and we were all hooking up for maybe a relationship or maybe sex. There was a thing where a group of people would stand up and then find someone they wanted to get to know better. I kinda knew one woman there, blond, cute, and we decided to pair up. We didn’t end up having sex though, I think she was straight, though I told the people I was Bi (which I am). Anyway moving away from that there was a water scene too. Candles for Peaceful Sleep

Okay, these are like the coolest things ever. Check out the Flameless Window Candles on this site. See, we need some of these because the cats can get just about anywhere, and I really am worried they will catch fire or, even worse, catch the whole house on fire. They even have wall sconce candles, which I love and they really stay out of the way. I’m going to ask my relatives and friends for some of these for Christmas. I love the soft flicker of candle light, safe candle light, in the winter when it is dark most of the time. I love the dark. Love candles. Love firelight. If you are looking for something like this I would encourage you to visit the site. In fact, I might just go buy some for myself. They are powered by batteries, so absolutely no flames. The Mattress

Well, my mattress is fluffing up, and my husband ordered me a cover for it! Water proof, so if Lucy leaks it’s okay we can throw cover into the wash! I’m excited. I still can’t use it yet. I stand in the spare bedroom, where it’s expanding to it’s normal shape, and stare at it. The dogs come in with me and lie on it… not fair. Not fair at all. Last night Levi walked right in and on it and laid down like it was just for him. We have such spoiled pups. So hopefully only a few more days. The Husband even got the 3 day shipping… so the cover would come soon!
