Dreaming of Greeting Cards

And not just any old thank you Christmas cards, but cards for our troops. Personally I am not a fan of the war, and I don’t like Bush… but that is neither here nor there. I support our troops, because our troops are human beings and American citizens putting their lives on the line for us. Gallery Collection has created Corporate Holiday Cards called Soldier’s Angel Cards. And Gallery Collection has donated a greeting card to be sent to each soldier to say thank you, and wish them a happy holidays. You can help by donating to Soldier’s Angels. Dream of Work

You know those nights when you just reflect what you have done all day long, especially when it’s repetitive? That was last night for me. So this report I’ve been working on at work for a while, involving building an populating tables, looking at MS Access and Excel, running SQL queries… I swear I did that all freakin’ night long last night and woke up to it, too. I don’t really like nights like that! And it was the only dream I remembered from last night.

Bed for the Dogs?

Okay I got myself a new mattress and frame, but I haven’t gotten one for the dogs. I am really looking for a nice dog bed. Something that can be thrown in the washing machine, and is not too big for our washing machine. Angel, our sweet rescue collie girl who is probably at least 11 years old now, she loves to fix up our beds. She is excellent at it… well, ask her and she will tell you she is. She goes to town fixing up our beds, pushing with her nose at pillows and sheets, and she grabs those darn sheets and pulls them down until they are almost completely off the bed. LOL. We have to fix up our beds every night because she does such a good job. The bedroom is her safe, and favorite, place. She chews her pig ears in there, sleeps in there, and goes in there when there is thunder or lightening or fireworks and she is nervous. New Bed!

Well, in order to encourage better dreams and better sleep, I bought a new mattress on Sunday. That was.. yesterday. No no I bought it on Saturday, then, not yesterday. I went to Ikea. The mattress was fairly inexpensive, foam, so it is now getting back it’s regular shape. It came in a roll, which was odd, but fit in my Outback which was very nice. I also bought a frame for it. I’m going to have to look to see if the frame has a weight limit, so as to make sure that me and all the dogs will fit on it. It’s a Queen size. King is just too darn big for the bedroom. And my Husband has his own single bed anyway. But I’m also going to get a water proof cover for it before I can use it. Darnit I don’t want to wait! I am much too much an instant gratification type person! So next week, probably, I get to use it and see if my dreams improve.

Going Hiking?

I love to hike. I haven’t hiked in my dreams lately, though. Would be a fun way to spend a dream. I love the mountains, I love the rocks beneath my feet, and I love the sun on my face and the cool wind in my hair. I also like having good solid hiking boots on my feet. They are so important. I don’t really need hiking boots for Christmas, but they would be a great gift. Maybe my sister needs some… and we don’t hunt, but sometimes Hunting Boots can be used as hiking boots, as hiking boots and are just as good and solid. So maybe they would be a good Christmas gift you can give!

Boats and Looting

Well, unfortunately, the ex didn’t go away in that dream from before. I hope he sure does soon. This time I was in a hotel room and I was with my current husband, and we were showering together and we were having a great time and madly in love. Then he had to go because I was going to meet with my ex and I didn’t want my ex to see my husband. Then I decided that I didn’t want to see my ex either, so I left out the back door and took a walk. Well, the ex was very mad, like he used to get, that horrible angry hatred feeling I’d pick up. But fortunately he left, but before I got back I decided that I should stand up to him and say my new guy is my Husband for goodness sake and he is priority! LOL too weird. Then later after the walk I was in this building with my sister and my flyball team, and we were going through some storage area. We could take whatever we wanted. Christmas Lights

It is just the time for Christmas isn’t it? Hrmph… well, yes it is. We need new Christmas lights. I think ours from last year have been up most of the summer, and they are falling apart. I need to string them all out and see if any of them work anymore. If they don’t, I seriously want to get some LED Xmas lights instead of the old regular incandescent kind. They create very little heat and they also save a lot of energy. If everyone went to these over Christmas, our energy consumption would be greatly decreased. And I’m always looking for ways to help the environment!

Earth and Space

Another long dream I woke up to this morning to Tatum being growly and grouchy toward Tony. She was put in the crate for the rest of the morning. Anyway the beginning that I remember was in some sort of meeting hall where we were having a meeting, I didn’t know most of the people. And it slowly tended toward being religious and then they were all Mormons and they were standing around a table praying and standing with their hands behind their backs. I caught the eye of someone across the room who smiled and nodded at me for us to get out of there because, it seemed, that person wasn’t a Mormon either (and no I’m not Mormon in real life but I do live in Utah). So I managed to get out but couldn’t find that person and then had to go to the bathroom. Before I got to the bathroom I found my ex and his father blocking the way. Time for Christmas Cards

In this day and age school is so very expensive. College, mainly, but sometimes High School as well. And whenever there is an opportunity to win a scholarship, I advise kids and their parents to take it! There is a greeting cards scholarship contest going on right now for the holidays that you really might want to check into. Every dime can help and college is so very important. Believe me, I went when I was in my 30s, and it would have been easier to finish in my 20s. The company doing the contest creates business Christmas cards, the kind you get from banks and places every year wishing you a Merry Christmas. Not remembering too much lately… but I do remember a couple of nights ago I dreamed that I kept putting my underwear on backwards. And going out like that and the butt part was poofy in the front. Of course I was not at all embarrassed about being out in my underwear.

Box Jumps

Well, another agility dream. Similar to others I think. I dreamed that the agility trial was in a huge barn and to the other end there were booths set up and people were selling things for fund raisers. I was late for agility again, Open, running Chase. And when I finally managed to walk the course the jumps were boxes all pressed up against the walls. And I kept thinking that will be awful hard to jump. And I couldn’t see the numbers on the course, and I couldn’t find a map, either. When the judge gave me the papers that were supposed to have the map, I looked but I couldn’t read any of it and my mind was really getting unfocused. (I can never read in my dreams.) But the map wasn’t there even though others were telling me it was. My mind got really wonky and I couldn’t focus or concentrate on anything. I kept wandering around, couldn’t hold a conversation, and couldn’t focus. I lost the dogs at one point, didn’t remember where ...

Shopping for a good cause

It’s that time of year. I’m thinking of giving blankets and pillows for Christmas, but I may change my mind. We’ll have to see. I remember a dream from a couple of nights ago… another dog camp dream. I remember looking for my place in the barracks to sleep, but there wasn’t any room left. So I had to get a cot that was kinda set up in the hallway. It was odd. Ooo and now a dream from last night is trying to come back to me, but I don’t quite remember it. If I do, I will post!

Agility

Okay another recurring dream I have is about doing agility with my dog. Usually, I think, it’s Levi. This dream is from a couple of nights ago. We were at a dog event, they had more than just agility, maybe flyball too… but I was doing something else with training some dogs or something and then I remembered I had to run the next course and I was late! Then it seemed like no, Levi wasn’t entered in that run so I was okay. Hrmph. Then we all took a break from dog things and went swimming, there were two round swimming pools but they were naturally made. I remember looking into one because I was going to dive in, but the rocks were too shallow and I had to move around a little. Then I jumped in and swam and it was nice and cool. I swam to the other pool and it was a hot tub so I didn’t want to go into it, was too hot. Hrm weird. I’ve had swimming pool dreams before too, now that I write this down. I wonder where I will go tonight.

Dream World

I have read some books, fantasy or sci fi mainly, where there either is a dream world, or it’s possible to get into another persons dreams and interact with them there. With all the dreams I have, sometimes I wonder if I do go into a dream world, which is a real world. Since I’ve been keeping this dream diary I have been remembering more and more of my dreams. And I post about 95% of them. Sometimes I forget them before I post them, or I don’t have time, or I just don’t feel like it that day. But most of the time I do post my dreams. I do dream a lot. And before I go to sleep I wonder where I am going to go that night. I do have many recurring dreams and will be tracking them here in categories. So maybe… just maybe, I do actually go to another world in my dreams? I can hope, anyway.

Dreaming of Techie Toys

I love technical toys. I have a lot. I have so many that when I stay in a hotel, I have to bring a power strip to power them all. My laptop, my cell phone, my camcorder and my digital camera… and I’m always looking for more. And when I look to buy computers, I definitely want to find good quality discount computers that will last me for many years.. until they become outdated, which really isn’t long at all. I’m thinking about getting a new digital camera and Tech Bargains would be a good place to look. They have coupons and rebates, product reviews and comparisons so you can find what fits you best, mobile RSS feeds so you can find things when you are on the go, and deal alerts customized to fit our interests. Cool stuff! I need more techie toys… what should I buy? I’m going to go and browse their site and see what fun things, maybe a PDA or something, that I can use next.

Big Crabs

Some interesting dreams last night. I think one of my Hermit Crabs has gone under the sand to molt. Haven’t seen him in days. So last night I dreamed that he came back out and he was huge! He was about the size of a baseball. Right now he’s small, about the size of a golf ball or even smaller. It wasn’t a bad dream. I also dreamed something else and now I don’t remember… something about my husband I’m sure. Good night, though, not a bad night at all.

I think I have a lot of recurring dreams. So from now on I’m going to add a new category, or check an existing category, for dreams that I have if I think they fall into a category. I dream about our house a lot, and selling the house and moving. So there is a house category now. And the road dream I just posted about, there is a road category. Old Road Dream

I was just replying to a comment on Luna Tail and this dream memory came to me. I have had it more than once, I’m sure. It’s about a road, a freeway, leading out of Utah and, I think, to Nevada. West, anyway. It’s a high speed freeway like a spaghetti bowl, and yet there is a twist. One of the roads has a loop like a roller coaster that takes you, and your car, completely upside down. What are those called? A 360 degree loop? I went on it once, in my dream, and made it around without falling off the road, but it scared the crap out of me. And in subsequent dreams I remember going a different route so as to avoid that stretch of freeway. Ugh!

Couple Oddities

I’m home again yay! The night before last I dreamed that we were on a planet, me and some other people… well, it could have been Earth not sure. And it was covered by a very thick material. And someone was saying how fascinating it was, as we were walking on this material, that it was all one pieces and wrapped around the entire Earth. Hrm. Then when we needed to get off the planet there were these tree like objects, and we hung on and they blasted us off to the spaceship above. It was a wild ride! Earlier in the night I dreamed I was with my sister in some lobby.. doctor or dentist or something like that. And there was a door that was so mis marked it was weird. It said 1st floor, but it really was the 2nd floor. And it had directions that were wrong… I don’t remember so much now, but it was an odd one!

I’m now in Pahrump, Nevada. Last night I dreamed that my husband and I sold our house and moved out. And I kept thinking that was the worst decision we had ever made. I have had this dream before, haven’t I? Why am I always dreaming about selling the house and what a big mistake it is? Weird. I should look that up. I missed our house and wanted to buy it back.

Overton Dreams

I am in Overton, Nevada for the week. Limited internet, limited time… thus my posts are a bit far between. I’m sleeping well in the hotel room, though. It’s a nice hotel, Best Western, and a nice big room. Did flyball last weekend, will do agility next weekend. Anyway I remember a bit of my dream from last night. I was with my ex and he was pleasant to be with, so it was a good dream. With him I never knew if he would be pleasant or miserable… one of those roller coaster relationships I don’t have anymore, thank the gods. Anyway I just remember something about going to a house in a strange city, and there were mixed relationships going on. Swapping, things like that. An aquarium upstairs, not sure what was in it… It was an odd dream and I don’t remember much anymore!

New Pillow

When I went shopping earlier this week I bought myself a new pillow. It’s an ergonomic pillow. It’s interesting, because it doesn’t seem like it would be comfortable at all. But actually it is very comfortable. It has a ridge where my neck is, a dip for my head, and another ridge at the top of my head. I was hoping maybe it would help my neck problems. I still have a crackling neck and it pops regularly. This only got regular about four months ago. I thought maybe it was because my neck was out and I went to the chiropractor, but that didn’t really seem to help. Maybe it’s stress, and instead of doctors I need an adventure vacation. I would love to go to belize. It’s one of the places I have dreamed of for a long time. One reason because it’s English speaking (or so I’ve heard), and another reason is because it’s south, and on the ocean, and I would love to do some scuba there. I Don?t Remember!

Strangely enough, I don’t remember my dreams from last night! When I woke up once I thought I did remember, but it didn’t stick in the morning. I’ve been remembering my dreams a lot more lately since I’ve been writing most of them down. I swear I didn’t use to remember this many. Maybe I did though. I have a rotten memory. Anyway, nothing new to report from last night!

Last Couple of Nights

I don’t know why I don’t like to post about my dreams until the afternoon… but it just seems to be that way. The night before last I remember a short bit of my dream. My Husband and I went to visit an old friend of his who ended up in Prison. I haven’t seen the guy in years and I’d only met him once or twice when he wasn’t in prison. Stealing a police car, though, is a pretty bad thing. Anyway, my whole family went as well as my husband (my family has never met him). And to get to the visiting area we had to slide down this big wide concrete slide. It’s hard to describe… it was like a whirligig thing, but horizontal. And the bottom of the slide was so narrow I barely fit, and kept thinking anyone heavier would have a really hard time! Then we met up with my Husband’s friend in a big outdoor area with grass and trees, it was very nice. Last night… uh oh… dang. Now I forgot, since I was writing about the prio...

Clocks on the Mantel

I love clocks. I don’t know why, but there is something very appealing about them. I love old clocks, clocks that were made years ago. Clocks fascinate me, especially how they were made and put together back in the old days when people were just starting to make them. I have never had Howard Miller clocks but I’ve been looking at their website, and I’ve been dreaming of getting one. I would love a mantel clock, an antique like this Brass Bell Clock for the mantel above the fireplace. I love sitting in front of the fire in the winter, watching TV or knitting, and I do love having a fancy front room. And this clock would really finish off the room nicely. I would love to find a interior designer around me here in Utah. I would like to know if they have Howard Miller Clocks. I hope I don’t have to design the house around a new clock, though! But you know how it goes. Update one thing… and the rest has to be changed as well. I’m going to check...

Four Heroes

I was so dead tired lats night. My Mom and I spent 5 hours at Ikea shopping. So when I hit the sack, I was out right away. This morning I did have a dream. It was a good one too… now that I’m in the better part of my cycle, my dreams should start getting better. I dreamed about four men who were kinda bums, but they were the most powerful.. in magic or strength or something, but it wasn’t really a dream about magic. Anyway they were scruffy, and of course I found them all attractive. Well, except the 12 year old. There were three women too, for the older guys. I was one of them but I think I kept switching between being one of these three women. Of the men, there was a large man, and a blond guy with darker roots and curly-ish hair. I liked the blond guy. In my dream I was looking through some sort of book and they all had names, but of course I don’t remember their names now. Dogs Attacked

Another not so good dream last night. I only remember a little now… I was at a house, kinda like that house I had in my prior dream. And I had all our dogs there. Levi, Lucy, Angel, Chase, Tatum, Bianca and Tony. I had to leave for a bit and the dogs ended up getting attacked by something like a Crumple Horned Snorkak or something. It was dangerous. It killed Tony and someone moved his body, wrapped up, to under my bed. The rest of the dogs were okay. Some injured but not badly. And they ended up crated, by some lady, in a truck. But they were safe. It was not a good dream.
