2008-04-03 05:04:00 This pile of rubbish (above) came from the garden (below)A new plant for the garden (above) and the BBQ area (below)A shot of the back yard (side view) The rubbish removed (above) from the front garden (below) Hmmm...A Big Ass Plant!...lol (below) notice the ground is dirt, the area never got sunlight, so grass would never grow there. Unfortunately I never took pre-demolish photo's (before & after) But if you look at the piles of rubbish you can get a pretty good idea of how much work I have done. The newly cleared areas were NEVER accessible & resembled the wilderness. The ground was always damp & covered in moss. There are quite a number of tree's & shrubs that border the property, which is one of the wonderful aspects of the yard. I love my privacy! They are just some what over grown & the few gardens were a mess (if the could be called gardens). I am quite happily, half cut & have absolutely no idea what I am trying to achieve from this post! The photo above was taken today, again in one of my silly moods, laying on the carpet. We watched a movie tonight called 'No Reservation' with Catherine Zeta Jones. It was charming & light hearted. A great watch if your in the mood for a romantic comedy. I applied for yet another job today, it is getting to the point where I am in need of funds or I may shrivel up & wither away to nothing. 2008-03-29 22:47:00 As many of you would know, last night was "Earth Hour" The now 'Global' movement in an effort to slow down the impact energy use, has on the environment. I read an un-interesting article in the paper where someone said Earth Hour was a waste of time. And that the turbines at the energy plants will continue to spin regardless. Well folks just excuse his arrogance and lack of encouragement. (dickhead)The purpose of Earth Hour is not solely based on a 'one time event' to conserve energy, it is making people aware of the impact, reducing consumption can have if we administer these changes on an everyday basis. It teaches people to be conservative & mindful of our habitat. I know I kind of look gloomy in the photo above, but I wasn't well last night & with Nate behind the lens, anything could have happened. *giggle*I hope you all remembered!

2008-03-28 07:49:00 That was the question my Dad was wondering after his visit today!! My parents came around to fix the door handles on.......Lets just say all of them! Hmmm..... Your shocked aren't you...Just as I was when I first moved in here!Yes indeed the doors to Our Bedroom, Computer Room, Laundry, 3rd Bedroom & Bathroom all resembled the first photo above & now Thanks to my Dad they all look like the 2nd photo. A few of them had nothing at all to them just a gaping big hole. But what was funny was when my Father asked me to switch lights on in the immediate area he was working. You see most of the lights in the house are missing light bulbs too. I actually had to get the spot light from the garage.He said " Oh your fucking kidding...and your gay"Ok! (OK so it is 11:55pm Wednesday) but by the time I get done it will be Thursday (literally) You may recall I mentioned the TV went on the blink, yes well that was after we went out and replaced the washing machine that also died a few months back, OK maybe it wasn't entirely dead (it stopped spinning). Along with the washing machine was a lawnmower, yes it actually passed away a few months ago. The grass was so tall every time I walked out the door I felt like I was in the wilderness.So I spent today washing, washing just about everything! It was so nice to have fresh towels, dry in as little as 30 minutes. Prior to today, they would take up to two days, because they would be wringing wet. I was tempted to throw the cat in! That big ass device you see here has gone & died on us! 52 inches of crap just sitting there, while we work on the problem, we have our 19 inch monster to keep us from going crazy! pfffft If it is the lamp (which seems to be common) it is a whopping $286 to buy if you replace it yourself! ....OMG technology comes at a price. Maybe more sex and less Tv would help!My hanging plant is very happy at the moment. Considering it was just a twig a few months ago.Now don't go getting all botanist-ical on me! I have barely given a thought to Easter this year. Can barely afford a few treats for my niece and nephew when they come up for the weekend to spend time with their Dad. We have a family gathering this Saturday evening. It will be Nates introduction to my Sister and her Family and also my Brother, his children and his (new) girlfriend. Even I have not met my Brother's new flame. I guess I am still trying to get used to the fact that my Brother is amidst divorce.It should be quite an interesting evening & I know Nate is terribly nervous. So what has been happening over the many weeks of absence? Firstly YES...We are still an item, somewhat more than that actually...I am now living with Nate. It all happened so quickly, I still have days where I think to myself ....WHAT AM I DOING? But I simply followed my heart & found myself over coming any obstacles...The area I now reside is not what one would deem as pleasant...It has for the longest time been regarded as the 'dead shit' zone...The place to live when you are to lazy to work, drink your life away, cause trouble or perhaps mentally unstable.
