Teacher's Day Celebration
2008-05-18 07:58:00 Teacher's Day celebration at school. This is my first and perhaps my only Teacher's Day celebration. It was kind of fun actually. I did mentioned about my kids' performance. Well, they did practice a little and it seems ok. The only thing is, I forgot to tell them the most important detail : never put the microphone near to someone's mouth during singing.As the result, it was quite a disaster. I felt sorry for them when people start laughing at the different tones. After the performance I went to meet them and it seems that they ddin't even care about it. They seems to enjoy it and more worried whether the performance pleased me enough. Actually I very proud for them to be very brave to sing on the stage.I did received lots of present today. Most presents come from students in Form One. I only teaches one class and I already received so many, imagine Aini that teaches in four classes. I read on The Star that all taxis will be change into a new model that will further notice. They claimed that Proton Saga type is not big and comfortable enough (so said by the MBs who doesn't ride taxis) Well, it's not that I didn't like it but what about the fares? Even with the Sagas, it's already expensive even for such a short trip. It's not appropriate to say but luckily I don't have to do the job alone last week.* It seems that I'm addicted with EasyHits this days, especially after I received the first payment yesterday.* What do you give your mom for Mother's Day. I don't know what should I buy for her. In the end I bank in some money and tell her she can get anything she likes with that (well, if that thing doesn't exceed the amount that I bank in...)* School exams for my kids will start on Tuesday. I am so busy preparing extra notes and revision questions. Not to mention, I have to mark all the books on my desk (which added more today after lesson ended...) I'm too strict on her and she's scared of me. To make this more interesting, her father come to school and met the headmistress. She didn't say a word to me but the counselling teacher did. So, I set up a meeting with the girl and asked what so scary about me. Can you guess her answer? She said she didn't really understand what I told her in class. WTF?!!! What's that got to do with being scary? Then I asked her why didn't she come to ask me at the staff room. She said she's scared to ask. Scared of what??? 2008-05-04 09:09:00 * I have been chosen as Teachers on Duty for this week to replace a teacher on leave. After they told me about the job, the first thing pop into my mind was "What was that?!"Soon, I discovered that being a teacher on duty is almost the same as a prefect but with bigger authority. So, I have to be at school early and stand guard on the gate for latecomers (students, not teachers and staffs) The same goes when it's time for home. I have to stand guard to make sure everyone, especially the bikers queue early so everyone can hurry up and go home. I have to monitor the cleanliness as well as take care of sick students. That's what I know so far (since I have encountered all of this today)I have a partner for this but she might be delivering her baby pretty soon. If she does I might have to do the job alone. 2008-05-02 02:58:00 The fourth Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad had stepped into the blogger's world yesterday by announcing his own blog Chedet.com. I have paid a visit and eventhough it only has one post, he already received more than 350++ comments. I planned to comment about the judges post that he wrote but after a second thought, I better not to. There were too many people commented on that already(related or not), I think I'll wait for the update. He might write about something else in the future. Just my 2 cents: as I roughly read the comments, I noticed some just write their name as Anonymous and then leave remarks that opposed. It's not wrong to oppose but why don't be more brave with leaving your name and site. Even if you don't have a site, it's better to put your name there. If not it will be like throw a stone and hide your hand situation, if you get what I mean

The down payment is around RM2500 and after all the cut and discount, I only need to pay RM2250 for a start. Still, that's nearly all my first salary. Teachers get small payment, especially the one with only Diploma :pI planned to get a black one but everyone insisted me to get a Pearl Jade...* I need to complete my students oral test. It's not easy for that. They're annoying in class but when it come to the test, they haven't said a word. Plus, they even can't answer simple questions like What is your name and age? I think they need more confident*sigh*~~~~* I bought a Japanese table at Giant to help me do my works and studies. It cost around RM40 and pretty big.I think it's worth the money (though I keep thinking it's pretty expensive at first)

I didn't know whether I will be going to the competition place as well (transport issue~~typical~~) and I didn't do anything for that contest as well. First, it was short noticed! I was informed that I am replacing a teacher for that. Second, since it already near the competition date, they already prepared everything. * I think my astores were deindexed from search sites.
