Private Moon .A few weeks back we created a post: 'Fullmoon Sideboard Furniture' which featured various designs inspired from moon and sky, and it also featured a moon installation. Though at that time we didn't have much info available about the moon installation, but now we have some details and quite a few photos of that installation and the credit of it goes to Alex. It's a project called "Private Moon" by two Russian artists Leonid Tishkov and Boris Bendikov created way back in December 2005. They created these large light sculptures of a quarter moon, which everybody would want (including us) in their apartment or backyard. But they aren't available; but for sure are pretty, and very surreal. Village Underground .Village Underground, is the brainchild of the ambitious 29-year-old furniture designer Auro Foxcroft. Four former subway carriages and three shipping containers were positioned, secured, and transformed into open-plan working spaces, which offers a low-cost alternative in a high-rent area. The idea to use the subway trains came to Foxcroft during a funicular train ride in Switzerland. He acquired the carriages for a nominal takeaway fee, but he had to pay £25,000 for transportation. The local council provided the rooftop - an old brick warehouse; and financing came mainly from the London Rebuilding Society. A number of architects, engineers, expert consultants, and friends provided their professional services and equipment for no cost. The decommissioned tube carriages were placed on the top of a railway viaduct and so far, it has hosted exhibitions, workshops, video and photo sessions, and private parties. And the rent can be anything from £600 to £5,000 a day.(...

3D Street Art.In past we have seen the works of Julian Beever and Edgar Mueller, and once again we have some amazing 3D Pavement Art by Edgar Mueller which seems to surpass his earlier works. Edgar Mueller painted this large sized, three-dimensional picture on the occasion of the 30th anniversary (9 -10 August) of the international competition of street painters in Geldern (Germany). "With the help of local artists Edgar turned the street into a river which ended in an enormous waterfall.For five days Edgar painted to create this illusion you see above. Up to four helpers suited him aside to cope with the 8 x 50 meters big area. With about 400 m ² this 3D picture is even more tremendous than the first of this series of large sized pictures - the waterfall." Glass Door .When Smilodon needed a replacement for the door to go between his hall and living room, he came up with this idea that turned out to be really awesome. The existing door had a glowing image, worked for a while but later it got bit arched. And the concept was to create another one that has much better looks and durability. And for the new door, 4 layers of glass was used, two outer layers of 3mm float glass and two inner layers of 3mm plexiglass (plexiglass as it conducts light way better than normal glass). And 120 Light emitting diodes (60 blue and 60 white) were fixed on the edges, sending the light through the glass.
