Using the same material qualities that make tennis balls bright, bouncy and easy-to-spot, they used it to make the seating that is comfortable, sturdy, and extremely eye-catching. The seats are made from a steel frame and dozens of tennis balls. Tennis ball chair:The tennis ball chair is constructed with a chromed steel frame. Remember we have seen the 3 Caniches that are done using inflatable material, but here we have another set of inflatable animals where shopping bags are attached to subway street grates and they inflate periodically when a train passes and animates into beautiful big animals. Metal Wires Growing From Human Body .In the past we have seen some Unique People but here is one person who is more different than anyone we came across. Her name is Noorsyaidah. A 40 years old kindergarten teacher from Sangatta, East Kutai. It started in 1991 when metal wires grew out of her chest and her stomach. Metal wires about 10-20 cm long. During the first week, they kept falling off and were gone, but a month later, they grew back again and from then on the wires never fell. They kept on growing. Its now 17 years and still she found no solution. Initial professional consultations revealed that the wires are also inside her body. There are more than 40 metal wires inside her and some of them are pushing out of her skin. They look like a living phenomenon. The wires are able, mobile and can change location at will. Vincent Callebaut, a visionary Belgian architect has come up with his proposal 'Lilypad, A Floating Ecopolis' as a solution. Lilypad, a prototype of auto-sufficient amphibious city is a true amphibian - half aquatic and half terrestrial city. It will be able to accommodate 50,000 inhabitants. The floating structure of the Ecopolis is directly inspired by the highly ribbed leaf of the great lilypad of Amazonia Victoria Regia. Dripping Logos ' By Zevs. Here are a few of the artwork of Logos series by Zevs which were shown at the exhibition held at the Lazarides Gallery in London. This was his work with famous logos, plexiglass boards and his trademark paint. A beautiful illusion created by the dripping paint from the logos giving it an appearance of dissolving. And here we have promotional field art design by pizza maker Papa John's to promote its whole-wheat crust pizza made from Colorado-milled grain in the wheat fields near Denver International Airport runways. Artist Stan Herd (with over 20 years of experience in "crop art") was the choice of the company to create this promotional field art design. Stan came up with a pizza- based design on 6 acres near Denver International Airport 's east and west runways and the choice of location was apt, with planes coming in on two strips over it. Maho Beach And Its Low Flying Planes.Maho Beach is known worldwide because of Princess Juliana International Airport that is situated adjacent to the beach. The Princess Juliana airport (the second busiest airport in the Eastern Caribbean) has a short runway - at only 2,180 meters which barely long enough for heavy jets to land. And hence the incoming airplanes approach the island on short final for Runway 09 and have to fly extremely low, resulting in very low altitudes on their final approach over the beach and passing only 10-20 meters (30-60 ft.) over relaxing tourists on the Maho Beach. And the low flying airplanes include large passenger airliners such as the Boeing 747, which in turn made the location very popular with plane spotters. Architect Robert Harvey Oshatz came up with this design keeping in view the requirements of the client: the client wanted a house that not only became a part of the natural landscape but also addressed the flow of music. The Wilkinson Residence is located in Portland, Oregon. Douglas fir beams are used as expressed structural elements within the home. The design uses a natural wood ceiling that floats on curving laminated wood beams and pass through glass walls which wraps around the main living room. Private spaces such as bedrooms and bathrooms are located downstairs while the upper floor of the home accommodates the more public functions of the home.'The steep slope of the site provided an opportunity to bring the building out into the forest canopy. Canada's Longest Footbridge.There are two footbridges over the canyon. Canada's longest footbridge extends an amazing 600 ft long across and is 152 ft above the ground. The other bridge spans 300 ft across the canyon and is 125 ft above the canyon floor. Eagle Canyon is a privately owned site near Ouimet Canyon, situated in Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park in Northwestern Ontario. In the Ouimet Canyon area, there are rare alpine flowers that are considered especially beautiful and arctic plants normally found 1000 km further north. One can view the beautiful unique surroundings from over the bridges. Tromsö municipality announced the competition following a state decision regarding a guaranteed place for every child.The lack of pre-school places in the municipality was put to test using the latest architecture and the results are quite interesting. They chose adjustable walls with inbuilt play possibilities; shelves, drawers, blackboards, climbing partitions, toys and other furniture are partially integrated into the walls.With an aim to have the possibility of variety in the use of rooms, these were designed. With very simple moves, one can change each room into new rooms of various sizes and functions that allow staff to change it as needed to create the proper environment for the children. An amateur photographer and Indiana University alumnus Charles Weever Cushman bequeathed approximately 14,500 Kodachrome color slides to his alma matter. This photo collection was taken over a period of thirty-two year spanning from 1938 to 1969 and extensively documented the United States as well as other countries. This collection is by far one of the most interesting one we have come across for awhile now. It must have taken a lot of time and effort. Classic Sofa With A Unique Design .Recently we came across this classic sofa which we thought is worth posting. It looks quite comfortable, DS-1025 an 1970s iconic design sofa designed by Ubald Klug. One can sit, lay or lounge around on this and it's supposed to provide a unique and incredibly comfortable seating experience.
