First Green Musings Post
2007-12-10 11:01:00
I concern so much about global warming problem and always want to blog about it since last September but I still haven't concentrated on this until now! *sigh* I hope this will be my first step to start blogging about green environment. Here is my first "Green Musings post"!I find a great company that offers many environmental products such as furnitures, home improvement, solar power and many more. We even can find many choices of green gifts for kids and babies. All of them are eco friendly products! In their mission statement it is clear that they put their first priority to support the eco-conscious community to minimize our impact on the planet. They even have a green learning center which provides some environmental information to educate and inspire their visitors.GreenandMore.com is a company which follows green practices on-site (no plasticware, recycled office supplies and kitchen goods, 100% recycled cardboard boxes, etc). They do that because they care for tomorrow's w...

Good news!
2007-12-10 03:16:00
Thank you friends for all supports and prayers for Wan. He is cured and healthy as before now! It's great to know that God still gives him another chance to live and have both of his leg normally.I meet Yah last week as well, sorry for late update... she is getting better as well. She still needs our prayer supports as she has to take some treatment but I think she is so much better! Her daughter needs a new glasses but they don't have enough money to buy one. She used her old glasses that actually has not fit to her face anymore. It was glasses when she was at elementary school and now she is in high school! A few months ago my hubby changed his glasses and we offered her my hubby's previous the glasses' frame. She was happy to receive it. We hope she still can use the lens from her old glasses and use this frame. I will call her to make sure about this.

Blanket oh Blanket...
2007-12-10 00:43:00
Do you prefer bed queen size or bed king size? My own bed is 1.80 m x 2 m while my parent's bed is 1.60 m x 2 m, my auntie's and my sister's are 2 m x 2m, how about yours? Do you like narrower bed so you can sleep very close to your spouse? Do you sleep together in one blanket? Hehehehe... or you choose 2 m x 2 m size so both of you are free to explore while you are sleeping? hahaha...Speaking about blanket, we have our own blankets. When we first married, we thought husband and wife should use one blanket together just like at movies... LOL but then we always played tug-o-war with the blanket while we were sleeping... hahahaha... we all can guess who's the winner... hahahaha... in a few days the second blanket has already in our bed.. hehehe..I love a warm and cozy living room with leather reclined sofa. We don't have it now but I think we can manage our budget to buy one if my Big Daddy allows us to have a new dream house someday!

Have you opened your Christmas gift?
2007-12-06 11:50:00
“Hey, is this a gift I gave to you several years ago?” I shouted to my friend when I found a familiar gift under her Christmas tree.“Yup… still new and tidy huh?” answered my friend proudly.“Are you kidding? Why have you never opened it?!” I poked her. I thought she was nuts not opening my present for her for years!“Easy my friend, don’t be frown like that…” my friend tickled me trying to make me smile.“You didn’t like my present, did you?” I felt a little bit offended, why did she refuse to open it I wonder.“Of course I love it, dear… I love it so much; the wrapper is soooo beautiful, it has been my favorite gift all this time!”“So why don’t you open it?”“I love the wrapper very much and I don’t want to torn that wonderful wrapper!” she grinned… “I am sure I will love what’s inside, may be I will open the gift next week ok?”I think she is so silly… the wrapper is not as valuable as the gift inside! However don’t you think we...

This Thursday my friend will deliver her first son by caesar and my mind flies back two years ago and even 7 years ago when I delivered Clay and Cliff. Both of my son born naturally, not by caesar. Though during unbearable pain I always cried to get a caesar instead, I managed to hang in there 14 hours and deliver my babies. Yes 14 hours of pains!Clay was 3.5 kg 52 cm and Clifford was 3.82 kg 54 cm when they were born. Such a big babies, indeed. In Chinese tradition we always gave 'ManYe' or gift to our friends and family who has visited our babies, 30 or 40 days after the babies were born. We usually send a cake with two red eggs on it as a symbol that our baby is a month old already. With these cakes and red eggs we usually attach photo birth announcements, with the babies name on it. This ManYe tradition just like our thanksgiving that the Lord has given us a healthy baby. For these memories, here's Clifford when he was born! It was me, in pain... and my smile right after Cliffor...

Running high commission online business while we still able to watch our family at home is a wonderful option of making money. If you are interested in having your own ecommerce website, build a phone card website is worth trying. It is affordable yet offers you a high profit opportunity. You can have a pre-built website with your own domain name to market and run as you wish!

Know better about Prostate Cancer
2007-10-29 02:00:00
This October many blogs have turned to PINK as solidarity to spread Breast Cancer Awareness. I think I have to be cautious about this cancer issue as my dad passed away because of lung and liver cancer. If we have a cancer history in our family, we surely have to be very cautious because it is so possible the cancer cell is already in our body.Prost ate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in men between ages 60 and 80 and is one of the most cause of male cancer deaths. Before the introduction of the PSA (prostate specific antigen) test 75% of prostate cancer patients were diagnosed in the later, incurable stages, now only about 25% of newly diagnosed cases are advanced cancer.Unfortunately, in early stage, this cancer generally shows no symptoms at all. Here's prostate cancer symptoms we must know:a weak urinary streaminability to urinateinterruption of urinary streamfrequent urination (especially at night)pain or burning during urinationblood in urineNowadays, high technolog...

What do you do in your garage?

Garages usually used to store cars, bikes and some of gardening tools. Do you use your garage for a place to hang out with your friends? We held a birthday celebration for Clifford in our garage! Garage is the most spacious area in our home. We just move everything out of the garage to somewhere else for a while, put some chairs and dining tables, backdrop and birthday cake... and have a party! Is it hard to empty my garage? No if you have storage bins with wheels like this! Just nice, isn't it?

Hope you still remember my post about Yah and Wan and still pray for them. To be honest I once feel they are getting better and nothing serious anymore, but last night my hubby brought a horrible news about Wan. I will share it after Yah's update.Yah will see the doctor again on Oct 10th, 2007. I tried to call her several times before but no one picked up the phone. Just now I call her again and talked to her hubby. He said Yah still coughs often and loose her weight significantly. They have to spend more than 300,000 rupiahs or 33 USD for one time doctor visit and a month medicines. May be it's so cheap for you but for them, 8.3 USD for a doctor is quite a burden. I asked them to bring her every 2 weeks to the doctor but the doctor's fee is expensive. Yah has to have 8 months treatment to get well again, so I think it's ok to meet the doctor once a month as this is a long term treatment. I just make sure that she bought all the medicines and took them regularly.Wan is still ho...

Dry vs Humid
2007-10-01 12:00:00
Clay and Cliff get cold again today... they started to cough... *sigh* They both have allergies to dust and weather. In Indonesia it's an alteration from dry to rainy season. It is so hot at noon, windy at the afternoon and really cold and windy at night. Some people advise us to get a dehumidifier at home. According to Wikipedia, mechanical/refrigerative dehumidifiers usually work by drawing moist air over a refrigerated coil with a small fan. Since the saturation vapor pressure of water decreases with decreasing temperature, the water in the air condenses, and drips into a collecting bucket. The air is then reheated by the warmer side of the refrigeration coil.By using dehumidifier we can have many advantages, including: Dust mite which cause problems for allergy sufferers will be decreased in populations. If your wall's paint blisters and the wallpapers are peeled, your wood doors are stick and many metal items easily get rusty, it indicates the air in your house is very humid. ...
