I?m a bit worried after seeing that the Malays are now splintered into so many different factions after the recent 2008 Malaysian General Election. In the past, the Malays were either with UMNO or PAS but now PKR has made it even worst. I stumbled upon something quite interesting earlier today.A British Chancellor by the name of Alistair Darling recently announced plans to introduce some kind of a rating system where all mortgages in the United Kingdom will be graded and rated. Under the new proposed plans, mortgages doesn?t matter whether they are home or commercial mortgage products will be given gold standard ratings if they are deemed less risky. It is thought that such plans can help Britons better evaluate mortgage products in the market today.As a Malaysian, I have to say that such rating system is a splendid idea. Malaysia has a lot of mortgage products too and many Malaysians are in the dark about their benefits and risks. Great!The new PAS state government in Kedah must take this opportunity to show all Malaysians that good Muslims can indeed manage state affairs far better than Barisan Nasional (old junk).Even though our political opposition parties are united as one, Malaysians would like to see which political opposition party can perform best. DAP has Penang, PAS has Kelantan , Kedah and Perak (not so sure about Perak under PAS rule, looks more like DAP?s) meanwhile PKR has Selangor. Yes, all three political opposition parties will go all out to win and woo the hearts of Malaysians in the next few years.Who will be victorious?Only time will tell, but my money is with PAS.
