Good news for Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
2008-03-22 09:00:00
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi! I got good news for you, old buddy! The online ?Abdullah Ahmad Badawi must go? petition did not go as planned; it is a complete failure if we go by the results shown today! As of time of writing, only 3549 people had signed the online petition. You can breath easy now, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Your position as Prime Minister and Chairman of Barisan Nasional is safe for now. :-)Perhaps you should ask your people to do the opposite. Create another online petition and call it ?Abdullah Ahmad Badawi must stay? petition. Yeah, why not? It would be fun to watch how those two online petitions will turn into in the end. Please UMNO? Let us have another petition please?Tags: malaysia kini, malaysiakini, malaysiatoday, malaysia election, 2008 election, barisan nasional 2008

Mahathir supports Tengku Razaleigh's call for EGM
2008-03-22 03:00:00
Poor Abdullah Ahmad Badawi? He will probably go into Malaysian history as the most unfortunate Prime Minister, having no other choice but to face nasty jabs and uppercuts from his previous bosses.Remember, Mahathir was not the only boss he had. Anwar Ibrahim was also his former boss when Anwar was Deputy Prime Minister one time ago. Both of them have given Abdullah Ahmad Badawi one blow after another and the best round we have seen so far had been the recent 2008 general election. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi was nearly knocked out but he managed to crawl out of the ring and won on technical grounds.Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is still seeing stars in the second round (second term as Prime Minister la) but can he hold off Mahathir?s latest attack?Wait and see, folks!Courtesy of tvPAS Dot ComTags: malaysia kini, malaysiakini, malaysiatoday, malaysia election, 2008 election, barisan nasional 2008

Nik Aziz on NEP & the destruction of UMNO and Malay secularism
2008-03-21 14:00:00
Hmm? Interesting!YAB Tuan Guru Dato' Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat believes that we can still salvage the New Economic Policy that has been misused and abused by the elite and filthy rich Malay s (sounds like UMNO? Bwah! Ha! Ha!).Perhaps so, my dear Tuan Guru. Efforts to salvage NEP must be done and initiated by those trusted by the common people. Personally, I believe that only PAS should be given the initiative and responsibility of tweaking NEP to make it work for everybody. As for your prediction of the destruction of UMNO and Malay secularism; InsyAllah? Islam will be victorious in the end and Justice will prevail for everybody regardless of religion, race and color.Hudhaifah bin Al-Yaman, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:People used to ask the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) about the good deeds, but I used to ask him about the bad deeds fearing lest they overtake me. I said: Messenger of Allah, we were in the midst of ignorance and evil, and then Allah brought us th...

Penang and the dismantling of NEP on Aljazeera
2008-03-21 11:00:00
Aljazeera is becoming more and more like the unofficial online media for our political opposition parties. Wonder who is behind this, Anwar Ibrahim? Lim Kit Siang?I really don?t care as long as Aljazeera relay the right kind of news to the whole world. Aljazeera has done a very good job so far and the indications were there for us to see. Just ask UMNO and Barisan Nasional, they should know. :-)The common Malays in general are not that worried about the dismantling of the New Economic Policy as introduced by DAP in Penang . So far, only the elite and filthy rich Malays who had benefitted from NEP made most noises. Thanks to those multi million dollar project and tender suckers, now we know what NEP truly means to the elite Malays. :-)Part IPart IITags: malaysia kini, malaysiakini, malaysiatoday, malaysia election, 2008 election, barisan nasional 2008
UMNO investigating defection claims on AFP
2008-03-21 08:00:00
A few days back, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi boldly said that his Barisan Nasional is very strong and united, dismissing claims that his cahoots and cronies will defect to the oppositions. What happened now? Why do I sense panic in UMNO and Barisan Nasional? :-)Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them, reported:The Holy Prophet (may peace be upon him) said: It is obligatory upon a Muslim that he should listen (to the ruler appointed over him) and obey him whether he likes it or not, except that he is ordered to do a sinful thing. If he is ordered to do a sinful act, a Muslim should neither listen to him nor should he obey his orders.Hadith number in Sahih Muslim [Arabic only]: 3423Tags: malaysia kini, malaysiakini, malaysiatoday, malaysia election, 2008 election, barisan nasional 2008

Exclusive interview with Perak Menteri Besar
2008-03-21 03:00:00
I could not understand why certain parties in Perak say that Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin is incapable of carrying out his new duty as Perak Menteri Besar. I see no reasons why they should question his ability in the first place.Courtesy of tvPAS Dot ComI have met him in person once or twice before and I can see that he is a very humble man. What is more important is that he is a God-fearing person and definitely not the type of man that adores multi million dollar projects and tenders like those we have seen in UMNO and Barisan Nasional.InsyAllah? He will do fine and Perakians will love and respect him in due time. The Sultan and Regent of Perak have made a very good choice. :-)Daulat Tuanku!Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:Allah's Prophet (may peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are three qualities, whoever is characterized by them will relish the sweetness of faith: One to whom Allah and His Messenger are dearer than all else; one who loves a man only for Alla...

Featured Letter: Malaysian PM is not Fair to All
2008-03-20 14:00:00
Note:I have quite a following on this blog and many have sent letters via email voicing their inner voices. It is only right for me to let the rest of you readers hear them. InsyAllah? I will feature more letters in the near future. After the GE2008 the Barisan Nasional was dealt with a severe blow of hefty defeat in the hands of the Opposition. A strong and clear message was delivered to the ruling coalition to seriously look into the needs of all Malaysian s irrespective of race and creed. The GE2008 is also a monumental historic event in Malaysia that reflected the unity of the Malays, the Chinese and the Indians is not far-fetched.After the GE2008, the Malaysian Prime Minister has again vouched that he is the Prime Minister of all races and will be fair to all. However, everyday, in the mainstream pro-government tabloids, we read about the sore losers like UMNO members been staging demonstrations here and there and some even raise issues that can incite racial hatred! But the Bari...

Opposition parties could have won the 2008 General Election! No doubt about
2008-03-20 10:00:00
I do agree with BERSIH. My gut feeling even told me that our political opposition parties would have wiped out Barisan Nasional in the recent 2008 General Election if the election itself is conducted fairly and cleanly.Press Release: 17 March 2008The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (BERSIH) wishes to point out that the opposition parties might have won the elections outright if it was in fact clean, free, fair and transparent.BERSIH stresses that the Opposition?s impressive gains were the result of a number of factors, and in spite of the numerous incidences of fraudulent practices, irregularities and misconduct ? not because of the absence of dirty tactics. The BN won many seats with wafer-thin margins, very likely aided by fraudulent means. The margin was smaller than 20% of the total valid votes in 57 seats, and smaller than 10% in 25 of them. In order to wrest BN?s 30 weakest seats from the coalition to form the federal government, the opposition parties in fact needed onl...

Barisan Nasional won?t be toppled, said Abdullah Ahmad Badawi
2008-03-20 03:00:00
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi? One time ago, your cahoots and cronies said that Dato? Seri Anwar Ibrahim is insignificant, a forgotten hero. The recent general election has proven that Anwar Ibrahim is very much ?alive? in the hearts of Malaysians. His party PKR is now the strongest political opposition party if we go by the election results. Now, you said that Barisan Nasional won?t get toppled. Was that some kind of a bravado talk or did you really have confidence with your Motley crew? You have been proven wrong too many times already, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. The clock is ticking and who knows what Anwar Ibrahim will do next.Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said that there was a person who used to walk with pride because of his thick hair and fine mantles. No caravans in Malaysia but plenty in North Wales
2008-03-19 17:29:00
Folks!I have been to various places outside of Malaysia and seen a lot of new things. One thing that amazed me most is that we have a lot of people going on caravan vacations in the United States and United Kingdom. I wish one day we Malaysians could do caravan vacations as well here in Malaysia but so far to the best of my knowledge, we did not even have a place where we can buy caravans in the first place! Not even in Singapore!Seriously folks, we are missing a lot of fun. I have seen and met a few caravan vacationers in the past and I can see that they had a lot of fun since they were able to bring their whole family on their trip.Anyhow, I do know that caravan vacations are quite popular in the northern parts of Wales . It should since North Wales has a lot of breath taking sceneries. You know, green rolling hills, magical countryside and of course sandy beaches. I would have bought a caravan home myself if I?m a local resident in those areas. Those with lots of money might go fo...

Stop referring Lim Kit Siang as Opposition Leader!
2008-03-19 14:00:00
Now that all three of our political opposition parties have agreed to recognize Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as Opposition Leader , it is only right for mainstream media and fellow bloggers to stop referring Mr. Lim Kit Siang as Opposition Leader .It is interesting to take note here that Datin Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail’s new recognition is just temporary since PAS, PKR and DAP seems to have made a pact to let Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim lead the Opposition after he had won a seat in Parliament.Courtesy of tvPAS Dot ComBy the way, I never did like the sound of Mr. Lim Kit Siang as Opposition Leader in the past. Events that had transpired recently had proven that Mr. Lim Kit Siang can never be a true leader for all Malaysians regardless of religion, race and color. It would be more appropriate if Mr. Lim Kit Siang is known and hailed as the ‘Voice of Malaysian Chinese & Indian communities’.Sorry Lim Kit Siang, you have lost my respect and also my trust indefinitely. Petition for Royal Commission on Electoral Reform (RCER)
2008-03-19 10:00:00
I have to admit that I have not visited BERSIH’s website for quite some time now. Out of boredom, I paid BERSIH a visit online just now and was surprised to see that they have a brand new petition seeking support from DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong to establish a Royal Commission on Electoral Reform (RCER).Details of the petition:Ke bawah DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang DiPertuan Agong,We the undersigned Malaysians, in support of the suggestion by the Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (BERSIH), appeal to Your Majesty to establish a Royal Commission on Electoral Reform (RCER) promptly after the 12th General Election on 8 March 2008.Urgency of Electoral ReformsWe have no confidence in the cleanness, freeness, fairness and transparency of the electoral system and process, in all four aspects of polling, contestation, electoral system and electoral administration. * The probity of polling is marred by instances of contamination of electoral roll, fraudulent registra...

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s new cabinet facing protests?
2008-03-19 08:00:00
I’m neither accusing nor speculating, just relaying what has been reported by tvPAS in their latest video shown down below. It is true that a few UMNO and Barisan Nasional leaders had quitted and said sayonaras quite recently but so far their resignations have been peaceful. They didn’t make any noises just yet but who knows what will happen in the next few months. Abdullah Ahmad Badawi commenting on calls for his resignation
2008-03-19 03:00:00
Well Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, I have to respect your persistence. Things don’t look good for you but you insist on soldiering on. I’m sure you are well aware that many perceive your persistence as plain stubbornness. Then again, I don’t think it would be right for you to quit even though many wanted you to do so. By leaving your UMNO or Barisan Nasional in a state of defeat, you will be remembered as the man who messed up what was once a great empire. I’m sure you do not wish to remembered as a failure, I guess this is why you chose to stay on as Prime Minister and Chairman of Barisan Nasional.Good luck Abdullah Ahmad Badawi! 2008-03-18 18:07:00
Ladies and gentlemen, have you folks ever heard of Cotton ique before?I guess probably not, even I knew about it just a couple of hours back after stumbling upon Cottonique Dot Com. It seems that Cottonique is some kind of a skin friendly clothing apparel, providing comfort to those who suffers from sensitive skin and latex-allergies. According to Cottonique Dot Com, Cottonique is the perfect solution to hygienic allergy-free apparel for men and women. What is more important is that Cottonique eliminates the use of color dyes or any form of chemicals. I have taken a peak at some of their products online and found that they are all white! It might be a little weird for those who love colors but Cottonique products do look pretty cute in white. Besides, this is not about trends or fashion. Some of us do have sensitive skins and allergies and Cottonique products were tailor made for such people.I got nothing better to do right now, I might as well share this little discovery with you fol...

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi?s new heroes on AFP

Abdullah Ahmad Badawi?s new cabinet on Newstex
2008-03-18 10:00:00
Yawn? Sorry to say that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi?s new cabinet lineup is not convincing enough for me.Like many other Malaysians, I?m also surprised to see that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi had given Muhammad Muhd Taib a new lease of life as Minister of the Rural and Regional Development Ministry. This is weird and pretty much appalling. No doubt Raja Petra Kamarudin of Malaysia Today blog will be furious after hearing Muhammad Muhd Taib?s new appointment! His last cabinet that he had introduced way back in 2004 had failed miserably, far from being ?Cemerlang, Gemilang & Terbilang?. Bravo! Bravo!I?m glad Abdullah Ahmad Badawi did something right for a change. The exclusion of Rafidah Azis more popularly known as the AP Queen among Malaysians from his new super trimmed cabinet lineup is most welcomed! :-)It is obvious that Abdullah Ahmad Badawi wants to save his skin from being fried further by the oppositions. Rafidah Aziz can be considered as Barisan Nasional?s Achilles heel, she was involved in a lot of controversies and a very popular subject of discussion and condemnation for our political opposition parties. Barisan Nasional & Chinese Made Toys
2008-03-18 03:00:00
News of millions Chinese made toys being recalled in the United States raised a very disturbing question for us Malaysians. We all know that Malaysia is a big dumping ground for Chinese made toys. They are everywhere from hypermarkets to grocery stores but nobody seems to be bothered about their safety levels. Perhaps there is a lack of awareness among Malaysians but I would argue that certain parties are taking advantage of our lackadaisical attitude in ensuring safety for our children. In the end, it is our children who are at risk while the filthy rich and extremely greedy business community laughs all the way to the bank.Welcome to Malaysia, folks! At last Perak has a Menteri Besar/Chief Minister

Congratulations to Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin, he was finally sworned in as Perak ?s new Menteri Besar/Chief Minister at noon earlier today in Kuala Kangsar. :-)I heaved a big sigh of relief after hearing that his sworn-in ceremony went through without a hitch since there were plenty of rumors out there saying that UMNO and their evil empire is out to ?ruin? the ceremony. It is time for you to watch and learn!By the way, UMNO Perak, do you know that the announcement of a waiver for all compound notices and parking summonses issued by local councils in the state up till Monday by Perak?s new Menteri Besar/Chief Minister was greeted with cheers and happiness by all Perakians? When was the last time you gave us such relief and happiness to the people of Perak?Tags: malaysia kini, malaysiakini, malaysiatoday, malaysia election, 2008 election, barisan nasional 2008

Oh boy? Malaysia is really famous on Aljazeera, isn?t it?If this sort of popularity continues, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will not only face tough time in the country but also with the international community as well. Wonder why he?s not giving up yet?Anyhow, Aljazeera?s coverage on Malaysia is rather short this time. You folks can see what this is all about from the following video. You have to skip the first 2:06 minutes since the first part of the video did not have anything to do with Malaysia.I really like Jesse Rahman?s comment on the recent 2008 Malaysian Election :?It means the end of the One-Party ruling system of the National Front and time for Malaysia to reform its political system, compromised with its grieved minorities, and present a successful role model for Muslim societies in politics as it did in economy.?Err? A very interesting news clip from AFP I have to say.Its main focus is of course that stubborn old Abdullah Ahmad Badawi but those little tit bits that follows are worth reading as well. Pay special attention to the part where Shahidan Kassim is mentioned. If all those quotes were really his statements, we can expect another big trouble in the near future.Let us see if Shahidan Kassim dares to go against a Malay Ruler. Let us see if UMNO is willing to back Shahidan Kassim. Sure, Tian Chua said that squabbles between political opposition parties at the early stage are good for everybody and he further said that such squabbles are signs of a healthy and working democracy. For someone who has gone through hell in the past, squabbles or arguments are of course ?chicken rice? for him. What about foreign investors? Do you really think that they will see it that way?PAS, DAP & PKR should stop arguing out in the open. Do it behind closed doors. Nobody wants to hear quarrels especially from parties that have pledged support and cooperation to each other.
