2008-06-10 16:15:00 Phew!! I managed to visit my parent's house again today and moved many things again. To be honest I don't really want all that stuffs, you know, old dusty things from my parent's house. I have to clean, sort them and try to give away things I don't need. Now my parent's house is 'empty' and dirty *sobs*, floors, blinds, old furnitures all are left for 5 years from now. I got many old cassettes of oldies songs as well! Time for sweet memories after all those diaries? hahahaha... I better listen to those songs while burning the rest of my diaries.... will be melancholic enough? hahaha.. My dad was a professional photographer, he left so many work art pictures, projector, slides, many trophies and awards, photography books, tripods, lens and filters, photo studio accessories. I even got an antique square old camera from my grandpa era! He also was our McGyver, so he left so many cables, electronic components, nuts, screwdrivers and tools. They are uncountable! 2008-06-07 02:36:00 It has been two weeks Bandung has to turn off the electricity for some area. Today is my area's turn! Just off before 8am, and we're not prepared at all! No electricity means no ricecooker,no water pump, no computer, no tv, no washing machine and no mosquito trap for about 8 hours! Many business got trouble and rush to buy generator set including my hub's office. Cliff is singing happy bday to you,staring a candle,doing his 'MORNING CALL' in the toilet. Hahaha. Clay is reading under sunlight. Me? Blogging via handphone. Hehe. Today, I wanna buy an emergency light, enjoy weekend outdoor to minimize the water usage. Family Time
2008-06-02 02:00:00 Thank you friends for your well wishes! I am fine now, and so do the kids, praise the Lord! My hubby was away for a week, he will be back on June 3rd so I take care of the kids by myself. I must say that I am quite relieved that I don't take the opportunity to go to Europe with my hubby this time. Clay is having his final test for these 2 weeks so I also am busy preparing him for the test! I am sure I will not be able to enjoy the (free) trip while Clay is facing the final test without his parents... I am glad my mom and grandma visit us this weekend so we don't feel lonely without my hubby around. :-) My grandma is 79 years old and has just got a gall surgery last week! At her age, she can't be covered by insurance like NC health insurance, but thank God all the process went well. She even went home the next day after the surgery, what a strong lady! I still remember being cracked up reading LB's comment on this post... may be you still remember that I was a mosquito buster.. hahaha... We have been wishing to buy this blackhole moz trap for months, however it was quite expensive so we still need more 'guts' to buy it.. hahaha... it is Rp.600.000 in Indonesia, around 66USD. One day I was called by my personal banker, she told me to come to the bank to take 1 million Carrefour gift vouchers (111USD)! Ha! Thanks God! We can use the vouchers to buy our 'dream gadget' moz trap!! Yay!!! I gave some voucher to my mom in law, use the rest to buy blackhole and other promo products (cooking oils, etc etc). Me: "In the afternoon... it was a 1 kg (I checked it) black glutinous rice" Man: "Do you want to buy it?" Me: "No, I want to reimburse the cost. I don't want to bring a loss to the employers here." Man: "I'll check whether it can be return to the supplier first maam..." Me: "Ok thanks." After awhile... Man: "Maam, it's ok... we can return the pack back to the supplier.
