Holidalies 2006
2006-11-29 16:24:01
Join me! I am taking the Holidalies challenge to post something everyday between December 1 and January 1. Since I have no life and my traveling plans are limited through the holidays I thought this was a great idea! All you have to do is promise (your first born) that you will post something everyday. It has to be about 50 words or a paragraph, but something everyday. I think I can do this. I

Mmmm..coffee
2006-11-29 16:24:01
I was never a person that needed coffee. I think I drank it socially for a number of years; I never required that shot of java in the morning before leaving the house, I used to be able to function like a "normal" human being on a drink of milk or OJ first thing. I could never understand the dependency on coffee that many were afflicted with until. I. had. a. child. I got my very first coffee

Thirteen Things I Did This Week 1. Had me car serviced. They washed it and it looks so fab! 2. Ordered hypoallergenic dog food for the "million dollar dog" 3. Made another doctors appointment for myself, it seems that you have to have an appointment to get any test results except a pregnancy test. Go figure. 4. Had training for working inside the tunnels of the subway system here. So boring,

Personalize Bloglines with Playlists and Glimpse
2006-11-10 05:21:00
You use Blog lines because it helps you keep track of your favorite blogs and feeds. But what if you have certain feeds you view only in the morning? Certain feeds you look at to cheer you up, or when the boss isn't around? You don't want to re-arrange your whole "My Feeds" listing just for those occasional whims or times of day. That's why Bloglines introduces not one, but two new services to make things easier. Play lists lets you create short groupings of feeds to access from your main list. Create as many as you like, and use them to personalize your Bloglines experience that much more. Create them, change them, even delete them--all without changing your original "tree" of feeds. What song playlists are to your MP3 library, Bloglines Playlist s are to your Bloglines blogs & feeds. Want a quick look of those Playlists you just created? That's what Glimpse is for. Click on one of your Playlists in your left nav and you'll see the first five posts for every feed in that Play...

The Wizard Behind the Curtains
2006-09-29 06:54:00
You might have noticed a few fancy little changes we've made to your feed tree on the left pane today. You'll like them even more when you learn what's behind the scenes! We no longer update the entire left pane when the unread or "kept as new" counts change. Now the counts update in place with a fading yellow indicator. The result is a faster, more pleasant way to cruise through your feeds, especially for those quick on the hotkeys. We've decreased the time between automatic updates to your unread counts so you don't have to press the "r" hotkey quite so often. We hope you enjoy the changes. As always, if you have any feedback, feel free to let us know either via our contact form or by putting up a blog post containing the phrase "bloglines freedbacking". - The Bloglines Team

2006-09-22 06:21:00
For those of us who rely on and love Blog lines Mobi le while on the go, here's another reason to dig it. Bloglines has now integrated Skweezer technology to optimize web pages for your personal handheld mobile device's viewing pleasure. When you click on a link while reading a blog post in Bloglines Mobile, Skweezer will compress and reformat the content so you get it faster and better looking on your small screen. As you surf, the content will continue to be skweezed. Hints & bonus features: Click on the "Hide Images" link at the bottom of the page and skweezed content will load even faster. At the bottom of the skweezed page, you'll find links back to the feed you were reading and a link back to your feed list. Working to Make Things Better
2006-08-11 22:01:00
Bloglines recently experienced software difficulties that affect a small number of members who use some of our advanced features. For example, you may have saved some articles by clicking on "Keep as New" and found that it doesn’t link back to the saved posts. We have isolated the issue in a system that manages the data for Bloglines blogs and clippings (resulting in the interruption of those features as well for a few users) and our engineers are working to resolve this problem. We sincerely apologize for the disruption and we’re working to make things right. We know how important these personalization features are to Bloglines fans (we all love them, too), and we appreciate your understanding and patience. - The Bloglines Team
