when crappy reporters piss me off
2007-07-05 18:18:00
During some of the rare times that I've glanced through the press recently I came across an article written by a reporter who obviously did not have any knowledge of the matter at hand; the matter was rock. Okay, I may not be the most unbiased person right here but the guy or gal (I really don't care) who wrote this article was of the opinion that all songs classified in the rock genre do not contain any lyrics. And so, he/she was reviewing a local band and stated that the said band forms part of the rare rock bands "a parole". Unless my French is totally dumb, did he/she try to say that it's rare to find a band classified in the rock genre (without mentioning sub-genres) whose songs have got wordings and thus a sense? So, for fans of rock out there, know this, you don't listen to anything at all! Hehe... Guess he meant just some guitar riffs and some grrrrrrrrrrrrr from the part of the singer. The totally stupid judgement that the guy/gal has passed has struck me like some form ...

some candles and a lantern
2007-06-27 16:26:00
Hey people! I've made some candles last week out of old candle pieces used last Christmas.First I proceeded by melting down the pieces after having removed the wick. I used a portable camping stove for that. If you haven't got one, use the one found in your kitchen, but be prepared to make some mess. Then I added some colour to the molten candle wax and I poured it in different types of utensils to get different shapes Here a picture of my first four candle pieces. I made the heart-shaped one for my sister. Then I made a lantern out of bristol paper, glue and vellum. At night it gives a nice effect when a candle is lit inside.Right now I'm making some paper christmas decorations. I'll be right back! Hehe!

Oh so crafty!

Hey people! I've been making some gift bags recently; here's the template. It's pretty simple. All you've got to do is to trace it using the given proportions on some bristol paper and you've got a nice homemade gift bag ideal for birthdays, weddings and so on. You can further customise your bag with paper flowers, coloured ribbons, designs cut from magazines! The choice is unlimited! Hehe! And I've also made a notebook for Jev, which I've called the rock notebook! Made it with black fabric, hardboard, paint and some pictures cut from magazines! Think he likes it!Powered by ScribeFire.

Hell-o people How have you been doing? I've been doing great! Enjoying the holidays as much as I can through the damn cold weather. I've been doing lots of creative stuff like painting small flowers in my room, making notebooks, keeping a dream diary. I've got into cooking too. And as usual devoting my time to gardening. In a month my mom won't recognize the back of our toilet; I've planted creeping flower plants there! Too good!Cya buddies!

2007-05-27 17:36:00
Hello people! Had a nice mother's day? Mine was great! Hehe! So people, about the cake I made yesterday, here's the recipe. It's a personal one. Basically, it's supposed to be made without eggs but it tastes just great.Morinn's Veggie Honey CakeIngredients:2 large cups of flour (normal one, not self-raising)2 tablespoons of baking powder1 can of sweetened & condensed milk160g of pure honey (that basically a medium container, in sale everywhere)Half cup of liquid milk250g of unsalted butter (keep a little for greasing)1 drop of vanilla essensePreparation:Mix all the ingredients together in no particular order until you get a thick and smooth paste.Things should look more or less like this!Put the mixture in a greased bowl and put it in the oven at a heat of around 180 degrees for about 30 minutes! Enjoy!
