2008-05-14 03:44:00
You know the saying, too many cooks spoils the broth. Well it's gonna happen soon unless someone I know buck up and start taking the horse by the rein. People need to realize that there are leaders and there are followers. Individuals need to know themselves otherwise.. disaster is looming. Enuff said! Cheerio...

Writer's Block
2008-05-13 21:30:00
I'm staring at my screen. I started to type something. I erased it. Started to type something again. Erased it almost instantly. It's one of those days when you take a break and your mind decided to go on vacation as well.. lolzz.Might as well, I guess, coz I need to retire soon. Someone is coming over in the morning to teach me this new budget software that hubby bought for his company. I need to be fresh and alert to take in all those accounting terminology. So I bid you.. goodnight!!!Au Revoir...

The Age That I Wish To Go Back To
2008-05-13 14:31:00
If there was a time machine that can bring me to anywhere in my lifetime, I would want it to be an exact day and date and that would be Wednesday, 15 April 1992. That was the day my father passed away.My father, who had been sick for almost two years was going through repeated traditional medical help in Johor at his brother's house. This was after being hospitalised for two weeks and not being given a diagnosis by the doctors at all coz he said he can't find anything wrong with him. Can't find anything wrong? This man whose left arm was shrinking day by day? This man who can't even hold up his neck? This man who can't walk by himself without help? No, the doctors can't find out what was wrong with him even after two weeks. Hence traditional assistance was sought. My parents went to Johor on Sunday, a week after Hari Raya. I didn't go with them since I was working and they were supposed to be there for a week. I received a phone call from my mom on Tuesday morning saying there ...

iSold it the easier way
2008-05-11 09:38:00
I would say the most shocking or weirdest item I've ever saw at eBay would have to be rings that the seller claims have DJin power in them. They're supposed to have magical power so much so that the owner of the rings would be able to get all his wishes fulfilled. Do you know how much this particular one was going for? USD1899.oo.. Yeap you heard me, close to USD2000! I can't afford to spend that much on a "mystical item" so I guess I would have to get my wishes fulfilled some other way then TWIN EGYPTIAN MALEMARID DJINN GENIE RINGI tried selling some items on eBay once but it did not go so well. Maybe I did it wrong or the price was too high that no-one bid for it! Unfortunately we don't have the services of iSold Ithere, otherwise that would have been my next destination. What they do is they actually sell the items for you on eBay. You just drop it off at their conveniently placed stores nationwide in the States and they do everything else for you. All you wait for now is t...
Taking a Breather
2008-05-11 09:36:00
I was thinking of taking a breather today from all the blogging that I've been doing but you know what? I've failed miserably. Instead of taking it easy, I've churned out four post today including this one. Two down there, and and one up there. And you know what? It's only 3.30pm here. But I'm taking a rest after this. I'm going to switch off Miss Fly and veg out in front of the telly instead.Ok.. here I go....Cheerio...

Me and My Handbags
2008-05-10 20:58:00
Well, actually this time it's more like a purse. But I absolutely loved it. Emphasis on the word "LOVE!". It's the Zero Halliburton Gold small purse. Oh and it also comes in Pink as well, for all you pink fans out there. This delightful purse comes with a leather interior with color-matching trim interior pockets and a 45-inch adjustable strap so you can sling it when you feel like it and leave your hands free for other better things. However, I think I will probably get it during their 50% Fall Clearance Event. Then I would not break the bank so much...heheheCheerio...

Feet, Feet, Feet
2008-05-09 08:56:00
I did this test the other and found the results to be quite interesting. What Your Feet Say About You:You are pretty average in your expressiveness. You can express yourself well, but you don't always want to.You are a very passionate person. You are highly charged and easily inspired. You are an assertive person at times. You'll pull out all the stops to get what you want, if it's worth it.You don't fall in love easily. It's hard for you to connect to people, and you don't have many attachments. You are not afraid of anything. You are brave and courageous, even when most people would be terrified. You are intellectual and philosophical. You are more concerned with thoughts than action. You are very spoiled. You don't work unless you have to, and you love to be waited on.You are not easily influenced by other people. You hold your ground and are true to your beliefs. What Do Your Feet Say About You?Well some are true and some are false but I had fun doing the test..Oh I also wanted...
My Fake Orchids
2008-05-09 08:32:00
You know my previous post about how I have red fingers and my hubby has green fingers? Well I found another reason why I don't like gardening. Well, besides the fact that everything I grow dies, it is also because I am asthmatic. Smell is a triggering factor for me and soil smells! Fertilizers smells too! So there! Another excuse reason why I don't garden! lolzzOne more reason I can think of is, because we live in an apartment now, there is really no place to plant anything. I can just imagine my kitties playing with the soil and making a big mess of anything in pots at the balcony. What would be worse is they think that the pot are their litter bin and start doing their "business" there. Oh my, that would be a disaster! And that is why silk plants and flowers comes in handy for us. I can have the beauty and elegance of room filled with flowers and plants without the hassle of watering them or making sure they have enough sunlight and all that jazz involved with life plants. Nowada...

Reality Bug
2008-05-09 01:49:00
I am bitten. Bitten by Reality TV bug that is. I just love watching Reality Shows. It started with game shows like Survivor and The Apprentice. Now I'm hooked to among others, Hell's Kitchen, Kitchen Nightmare and Amazing Race. Ahh! The stress level while watching these shows will go up at an all time high, I tell you.Azwaj refused to watch with me coz he said these shows only highlight people's bad behaviour. While I totally agree, it won't stop me from watching...lolzz! The only show he does watch is American Chopper because of all the super cool bikes they built. If you are bitten too, just like me, you might want to head on RealityBug dot com. Here you can find what's new, show updates, even casting call, in case you might want to participate yourself! There's even a message board that you can post at to "discuss" your favorite show with others fan.Join me there ya :)Cheerio...

2008-05-08 20:41:00
The internet has really spoilt me. Where before I can only read spoilers of my favorite tv series online, now it's the downloading age, where I can download tv series way before the local channel is showing it. Ah such is life. I hardly watch tv nowadays because whatever they are showing.. I've watched it already before they telecast it! lol!Cheerio...

A Tip for GP
2008-05-08 19:00:00
My midnight buddy, GP, is not feeling well. She has got the flu bug and is now, although recovering, still has terrible bouts of coughing and runny nose. Well I got this email just in theNEW USE FOR VICKS VAPORUB nick of time I think and would like to share it with GP and you, my readers. I've yet to try it out but who knows, it might work to ease the coughing. Of course, lay low on the coffee as well ya!! Yes, I see that coffee mug next on your desk..lolzz!! NEW USE FOR VICKS VAPORUBThis works 100 percent of the time, although the scientists at the Canada Research Council (who discovered it) aren't sure why.To stop night-time coughing in a child (or an adult, as we found out personally), put Vicks Vaporub generously on the bottom of the feet at bedtime and then cover with socks.Even persistent, heavy, deep coughing will stop in about five minutes, and stay stopped for many, many hours of relief. This works 100 percent of the time and is more effective in children than even very s...

Slow Motion FIFA
2008-05-08 04:55:00
Have you ever played the soccer game FIFA in slow motion? Lolzz!! I have seen some kids doing that! That time I was sitting in for a friend at a cybercafe community center. You should see the condition these PC's were in. They were not like run-down or anything but the pc specs were pathetic. But, by the way the kids were playing the computer games though, you think they are having a most wonderful time.Anyway, there was this group of boys around the age of eight crowding at one particular terminal and making tons of noise. Naturally this was not allowed of course. So I approached them and what I saw really made my jaw dropped and all I can say is.. I felt the utmost pity for them. The FIFA game was running in slow motion.! It must be because the pc did not even meet the basic requirements in terms of memory, processing power and even the video cards. When I asked them if they know that the pc is running the game in slow mode, they looked blurringly at me and said it's ok.. it...

The Night Owl Returns
2008-05-08 04:16:00
On Tuesday, Azwaj and I decided that we were going to try to live like "normal" people. Meaning, in our case to sleep during the night and stay awake during the day. So we opted to stay awake all day Tueday for over 24hrs and sleep at 11pm.Azwaj, in keeping with the spirit slept exactly at 11pm while I had some post to finish and retired at midnight instead. Because of the long hours awake, we both fell into a deep slumber. However both of us were wide awake at 4am and both of us were feeling refreshed! It was either wake up and do something or stay in bed and do something...lol.. we decided the latter (nuff said). We feel asleep after that and only woke up at 7am on Wednesday. We showered, bought breakfast and head on the office. And you know what?? I was like soooo sleepy at 10am which totally did not make sense.. If not for the fact I was blogging, I would definitely have fallen asleep again. Both Azwaj and I then decided that we are truly night owls who are most efficient when the...

Scare Me Crazy!
2008-05-07 08:56:00
I'm a big sucker for horror movies. Whether it's ghosts, spirits, possession or just plain horror thriller, I say bring it on! It's not like I'm a super brave girl or anything, as my hubby would definitely attest to, I'm just funny that way and I definitely enjoy all the screaming that is allowed when watching such movies. But of course, I only love watching them, from afar that is It's been a while though since I've watched a horror movie so when I heard about Frontier(s), I thought, Wow!, this should be a real treat. Just by looking at the poster sends chills down my spine and after heading down to the website to view the Trailer, let me say this.. I can't wait to see the movie, and I'm positive you will agree as well when you see the all the gross and gory details. If you love blood, this is the horror movie for you.So, if you want to join me screaming away and watching from peering fingers, check out the theater listings that can be found at frontiersunrated dot com an...

Back to School?
2008-05-06 17:37:00
A few friends of mine both online and offline are going back to school nowadays. First it was GK, then Natrah and now another close friend is returning to her studies too although she's doing it slightly differently. She's doing it online! I really admire her for doing it because not only is she working, she is also a wife and a mother to two wonderful boys. Where do this people find the time??I think it is totally a grand idea though. I mean if I can shop online and earn online, what is wrong with studying online right? I might even consider taking the various Online Management Courses available nowadays. No doubt I won't need the certification per say coz I'm working with my hubby but it would be a nice achievement if not anything else.So with those thoughts in mind, I let my fingers do the searching and I stumbled upon Kaplan Open Learning. The site has detailed information on all the courses the campus has to offer, entry requirements and how to apply for those courses. If ...

Business Loan Woes
2008-05-06 02:42:00
Back when Azwaj was a sole proprietor and dreadfully needed any kind of Business Loan s to fund his projects, he encountered so many hindrances that made the running of this company really difficult.Business loans were so difficult to get approved then as it seemed the financial institutions here are only interested in helping you if you've already got money in the bank. Hello! If we already have money, would we still you?? Duh!!Unfortunately we don't have site here like EZUnsecured dot com that can help new business set up at the same time guarantees excellent service, easy processing as well as fast funding. They don't even need collateral! It would have been such a great help then when Azwaj was just starting out.Cheerio...

Do We Need Health Insurance?
2008-05-03 20:40:00
When I went for my fibroid removal surgery earlier this year, my hospital bill came up to a whooping RM9500! That was not even for a single room. I was sharing with three others patients in the maternity ward. I'm not complaining but I was wondering if Azwaj or me had any health insurance, we could have avoided such a exorbitant amount. It is not our culture here to get health insurance because I guess a lot of us are employees and our companies have those covered for us already. This is the case for my SIL who was admitted just recently and because her husband was an employed personnel, his company's health insurance covered for all hospital bill. The company that I worked for in Singapore before had the same kind of insurance as well. We also have what we call a "medisave" account that as employees working in Singapore, we had to contribute monthly to. We can use the funds in case we are ever hospitalised, although it does have to be a Singapore hospital. In my case, Azwaj's comp...

May must be my lucky month.Firstly it's because in the latest PR ranking, LJL has managed to up it's PR2 to a nice PR3, LLP, a modest PR2, CT, a reinstated PR3 and MMO, retained its PR3. What this means is I'll be churning out more post for you guys to enjoy reading (i hope) and more after midnight cheesecake and for me to enjoy Then I got featured not once, not twice but three times! The first one by my new BFF, Zubli, who awarded me and GP for coming up with our brain child, the Hot Red Drop Blogroll club. Thanks Zubli.. much appreciated !The second one by my new blogger friend Roxy who did an excellent write up for me and my blogs simply titled Lady Java: The Blogger Who Never Sleeps. Lolzz... of course I sleep Roxy.. just not too much Then, just as I was about to retire for the day (or is it night), Roxy left a comment on LJL saying that LJL was the featured blog of the day over at SocialSpark! TV Mounts?
2008-05-03 05:01:00
Our master bedroom is extremely small to be called a master bedroom. Once the bed goes in, the two wardrobes (yeap we have two wardrobes, one for me and for Azwaj..), and the vanity top, there's hardly room for anything else. Where before we could have the luxury of a tv set in the bedroom, now it's only for the very basic furniture. The tv set sits quietly in the corner of the spare bedroom for now. Kinda sad huh? That is why I was thinking of getting a tv mount for the bedroom. We could easily mount the tv to the ceiling so to speak. That way we won't need any floor area and instead use the vast space up there (is everyone looking up now? ). Azwaj's a bit hesitant coz this is a rental apartment so I have not quite convinced him yet but who knows, with persistent coaxing, he may change his mind .Cheerio...
Meeting Natrah
2008-05-02 20:06:00
So it finally happened. I met my first blogger friend all the way from Baling Kedah. Emila was supposed to join us but unfortunately she was called away on a meeting at the last minute instead.Anyway, Natrah and I decided to meet at Ampang Point at 8pm last night (1st May). We decided to dress in red so that it's easier to recognize each other. And that worked like a charm (thanks Emila). I called her once I arrived and even as we were talking on the phone, I saw this lady in red walking towards where I was. Really cool!We decided to just hangout at McD as Nat had her dinner already. It was like a meeting of close and old friends. I felt like I've known her forever and we were chatting non-stop, about blogging, friends we made from blogging, making money online, even health chat. It was anything under the sun and the moon. Given a few more hours we would probably talked about bad credit auto loan as well .As Azwaj had so kindly offered to send Nat back to her hotel, we were tak...

Onion Flower
2008-04-30 21:15:00
I've heard of a lot of flowers but Onion Flower ? Wow that's like totally new to me. and this is what it looks likeBack when we had a little back yard, hubby loved to grow stuff. He really does have green fingers as they call it, coz everything he planted, would grow to be so healthy, nice and beautiful. We had a beautiful garden of flowers and even herbs and species. On of the easiest, he told me, to plant were onions. And they actually grew and whenever I needed onions, all I needed to do was go back to the backyard and took some from the ground. It was awesome and there was no wastage coz I only took what I needed. So that was also the first time I saw an onion flower.. lolz!!.. wasn't it cool?!If hubby has green fingers, I must have red fingers, because whatever I planted will never grow and if the plant was growing nicely it will definitely die! I might as well grow silk flowers instead. Then for sure, they would always live and never die no matter what I do to them. Do you ...

I need a new phone
2008-04-29 22:50:00
I need a new cellphone pretty much like now coz my Siemens one is dying on me. Even ffter I've given it all the juice it need, it will still die on me with just one phone call or a few text messages. The keypad is also no longer as sensitive as before. I need to press and press the keys for the numbers to stick which makes dialing and texting difficult if not impossible. I could potentially just use my old Nokia 3315 phone that works fine but that means, no camera, no saving of send messages and limited phone storage numbers. Nah... I don't think so...lolzz.I have two phones in mind right now. I'm torn between the Sony Ericsson P1i which is also a PDA phone, and the other is a Sony Ericsson K850i which has 5megapixel camera - which also means I don't need to get me a digital camera anymore! Ahhh the dilemma. Maybe I should apply for cash advance loans, then I can get both! If anyone has these phones or have experiences using any or both of the phones, I'd appreciate any feedba...

Cheese Cake Attack
2008-04-29 14:25:00
Help!! It's the cheesecake attack. First it was Janice, with her Oreo Cheese cake,, then it was Nat with her Cheddar Cheesecake.. how am I supposed to stay away from this irresistible temptation? My answer?? I DON'T I went ahead yesterday and go bought one since I don't have an electric egg beater yet to try any of the two recipes offered to me by the two ladies. At this rate, I'm gonna have to force myself up one of those treadmills over at the gym...Oh and you know what.. while I was enjoying my sleep today (I slept at 8am in case anyone want to know...), the aircon stopped working. Me and Azwaj awoke at 10am to a very still and very hot room. Arghh we thought the aircon had zonged out on us as well.. but Noo... Now.. there's a power failure... Arghhhhh... how are we ever gonna sleep now??But you know what, after we opened the windows, it wasn't too bad, the wind was blowing (helps being on the 10th floor) and pretty soon.. both of us were snoring away.. at least I know I was...
