A Tag: All About Love
2007-12-29 21:03:00 Bless and Norm passed this on to me. Let's see:1.Can ex-lovers be friends? I guess so. I say I guess because in my opinion, being friends is being too close for comfort. You don't have to be friends in the real sense of the word, but you can be civil and not hate each other after being together.2. Do you think its OK to date someone if you're committed already? NO period!3. What do you think is the biggest cause of a break up? Infidelity!!!4. Are you in love with someone at the moment? Very much so.5. Are you missing someone at the moment? Yes, family and friends.6. Would you die for the one you love? Don't even ask, because I WILL.7. Do you think love hurts? It does, if you we're in love to begin with.8. What’s the best thing about love? It's complexity!9.What's the worst thing about being in love? Nothing, if both keeps being in love.10. Will you wait for someone you love? I've waited long enough *lol*.11.What song best describes your life at this moment? I can't compar... More About: Love
Transition Lenses
2007-12-28 23:58:00 I have just been home about an hour ago, and I must say it was kind of nice to inhale some fresh air. At this time of the year, I only head out when it's absolutely necessary. Lucky, yes it must be, as I am spared from the harsh winter weather. So, I went to pick up my Fendi peepers. It may appear I am spoiled, and I/we, are kind of guilty as we change our eyeglasses every year even if they are in pristine condition and even if there are no changes in lens prescription. The deal is, the husband has a very good eye insurance plan. We don't pay too much on monthly premiums which includes 100% free annual eye exams and a new pair of eyeglasses provided we choose a pair from a specific collection. But the crazy part is we always go for frames outside the collection. So, technically we don't get a free pair of eyeglasses annually. The only freebie is the annual eye exam, which we also get from the medical plan. And of course, the lenses are free, which is good because they are not just o... More About: Lenses , Transition

Benazir Bhutto Assassination
2007-12-28 00:01:00 I normally don't write about world news on my corner here in the blogosphere, but the assassination of Bhutto is an exception. What a waste of life. This is the second attempt on her life and this time, the perpetrators succeeded. She certainly was a force in Pakistan's politics. With the announcement of her death, violence broke out throughout Pakistan, obviously by Bhutto supporters, something that is and should be avoided, as the country is already unstable and have been laden with violence in the midst of the leadership of Musharraf. How will Bhutto's death affect the world? Let's just wait and see. More About: Assassination , Benazir , Benazir Bhutto , Benazir Bhutto Assassination
Lazy
2007-12-27 20:31:00 Yeah, I know... I found myself binging on chocolates and sweets yesterday as I've written here. So, what did I do for dinner? Since, I drowned on junk, I didn't even have the energy ( I cleaned the whole place, and I think it's a good excuse, *lol*) to make a decent home-cooked dinner. Instead, I requested the husband to bring home something decent. Here's proof:Very decent and yum it must have been, that I still found myself eating my portion. Or am I just really voracious? Whatever it is, all I can say is that I have the appetite to eat, which means life is good and I cannot ask for more. This is it for today...in My World. More About: Lazy

Wired up
2007-11-23 07:26:00 It's early in the morning and I'm just wired up. I think my bad habit is back again. After two days of nursing an evil cold, I'm back. If only I'm interested with Black friday shopping, then I'd be raring to go out already at this time. Would you believe people had been lining up since yesterday at 12:00 p.m. at Best Buy Stores? These people skipped the Thanksgiving celebration with their families just to grab that deeply discounted LCD TV. As one guy said on TV: "there's only one chance to get that TV, he can always eat the turkey later".Oh my, what's your take on that? More About: Wired

That Thanksgiving Dinner
2007-11-23 06:37:00 Yes folks, we had our Thanksgiving dinner as originally planned at the nearby Japanese bistro. We were surprised to see a crowd in the bistro, as we really didn't expect that much people would be having their dinner away from home and family.Anyways, I will post pics later. All I could say is, the food was prime and it didn't disappoint. Nothing can beat the fact that we had our Thanksgiving dinner 5 minutes of walking away from home without the hassles of having to navigate that gargantuan New York traffic. This is it for today...in My World. Make the switch to LED
2007-11-23 06:18:00 In the spirit of the holiday season, a lot of us will be putting up holiday decors and that includes holiday lights. Wouldn't it be fitting to switch to led Christmas lights? The good old incandescent bulbs that we're used to is already passe, inefficient, expensive and not environmentally friendly. Did you know that with the switch to LED light one will use only 1/10th of the energy consumption of regular incandescent bulb. Imagine the savings on electricity and of course, not to forget the fact that LED lights are longer lasting and very durable as they do not contain the fragile filament. Also worth mentioning is that the bulbs are made of sturdy epoxy plastic non-breakable glass.Let's make the effort to switch. Let us be one in celebrating the season safely and in making our environment a better place to live in. More About: Switch , Make , Witch

UK Homes
2007-11-22 20:44:00 My friend who just moved to the UK recently bought a house. She just emailed pictures of her lovely home and I was really in awe. Immediately, numbers started to ring in my head as to how much they got that home for. I'm not comfortable to ask, as I find it kind of tacky. So you know what I did? I did my research. I just needed to feed my inquisitive mind.I found a lot of listings at WelcomeHome.co.uk. It' amazing how, one can have every single detail at their fingertips in just a click of the mouse. Oh my, the real wonders of the internet. Aside from interactive maps, there are area reviews, and a detailed information about the properties listed.Anyway, I saw homes in the Liverpool area, but what got my attention were the flats to buy in Liverpool. Like the one that's situated in the business district of the city near the Moorfields Station. The features are awesome. The flat has large sash windows and a fitted kitchen. At Sheffield on the other hand, I got interested with detac... More About: Homes

Happy Thanksgiving!!!
2007-11-22 07:55:00 Is it early enough in the day to greet everyone? I hope you all have a wonderful and "bellyful" Thanksgiving celebration!Today, my husband and I opted to just stay home. This does not mean we're not celebrating the day, because we as a couple celebrate each and everyday thanking HIM for all the blessings He has showered us throughout the year. We'll have our Thanksgiving dinner at a nearby Japanese bistro, walking distance from where we live. Most families celebrate this day together. But sometimes I wonder if they really put prime value to what this day really means. Sometimes, we tend to overlook the real meaning of the day, as we get wrapped up with the festivities and not really think of the real essence of the day. Take for instance, a family that are just at most an hour drive away from each other. They celebrate Thanksgiving together, for that one day, and go on separate ways and won't even bother to see each other the rest of the 364 days of the year. Now, tell me does tha... Credit Network
2007-11-22 05:23:00 How I wish I stumbled upon this site many years ago. Like right about the time when I just moved here in the USA. I'm saying this because it was not easy for me to even get a basic credit card when I just moved here. I had international cards, like Visa and Mastercard then, but they were locally issued in the Philippines. I was able to use them here but payments were being made by my sister in law back home. It was such a hassle. Besides, I wanted to have one issued by a US bank because I reside here, and I wanted to establish my credit standing. I'm happy to share though, that Bank of America is now one of my major credit cards. I like it because it offers great rewards for being a good credit card holder with no annual fee and low interest rates. With an online site like YourCredit Network .com, in just one click you see all the necessary resources you need in quest of that much needed credit card while learning how to manage your credit wisely. Almost all the major credit card iss...

The turkey
2007-11-22 01:14:00 As you may know by now, those that have been frequently visiting, I had my first ever try on roasting a whole turkey last Monday. It was such an experience, that even if it involved a lot of work I will be doing it again. It was a lot of work because, I simply refused to make it the "easier" way. I brined it the day before, I made stuffing from scratch and I made the usual sweet potatoes also from whole yams(you can just imagine the mashing job). There's one thing that I didn't make at all: the gravy. Why you may ask. Because I was overly confident the 12 lbs. turkey won't need it. The verdict? My husband said: he had the best home cooked roast turkey ever in his entire life. I tell you, he said this without a knife aimed at him *LOL*. Kidding aside, I'm so proud of myself, I made a turkey that's so moist and tender, simply: delicious. It's a big deal for me, because as I mentioned before, I've always been intimidated by the idea of roasting one. I made the whole thanksgiving... More About: Turkey , Turk
Internet Connection
2007-11-22 00:21:00 Before we kicked out that good old Dial-up Internet Service, I made sure to research on available options that we can avail of. I searched online at GetIsp.info and I am so glad I did. Why? Because at GetIsp.info I didn't only consider the cost of getting any service, I made sure we get the best service we can avail that will best serve our purpose. We figured, DSL service would be best for us and to find a DSL provider, GetIsp.info was the best resource. After the research I must say, that I learned a lot. I didn't only get to compare different internet services, it was also useful that there's a lot of "how to" tips and guides on the site. Based on the guide to choosing an internet connection, I learned that not all internet connection are created equal. There's the connection speed that can vary and of course, it will greatly affect surfing time. And a lot of the companies also offer bundling of services, wherein, for instance you can avail of a broadband service also from you... More About: Connection

2007-11-21 01:04:00 Alka is going to be my best friend in the next few days. I'm really down with a nasty cold and there's not much I can do about it. Good thing is, I do not have a cough. I'm just congested and stuffed.I did go out though, even with the nasty weather. It was dark and drizzly the whole day today. I would have just opted to stay in, but there were errands that I needed to do.In the meantime, Alka is my buddy for now. I hope I get to kick him out of my life sooner than later.

2007-11-21 00:24:00 My cousin's whole family has decided to move to Colorado. Her husband has been relocated at work, that's why. He's actually been living alone in Denver for about six months already but the family's dynamics is taking it's toll, with him being away from the wife and the two children. That said, he has started to check out possible homes that they can purchase. With the current trend of the real estate market, they figure they'll be able to afford to get a Denver CO real estate. The husband actually has told my cousin that listings of homes can be found at AutomatedHome Finder .com. He had told my cousin to do the search herself as she has more time in her hands. They already know which area of Denver, Colorado to pick.I learned from my cousin that they are starting their search at an online site called AutomatedHomeFinder.com in which after entering your real estate requirements, you'll immediately have the list of the result of your search and you'll receive pictures of the hom...

We started with only 4 watchers after 2 days on the listing and as of today, there's 7 watchers and already 1 unique bidder.I can't wait to see how this is going to end. It's really exciting. I never thought that bidding game was fun. Or maybe because I'm not the one bidding that's why I enjoy it. Come to think of it, if you're the one placing the bid and you really wanna grab the item, it must be mind boggling to think how much to bid for a certain item so as to ensure, you end up as the highest bidder. This early, Frank is now conceptualizing on the next item to list.
