New Blog
2008-04-02 21:46:00 I haven't been writing here since... god knows when. But Malvin's been working on my new blogskin, it should be done soon... Then I can start writing more regularly again. =D.I doubt anybody still comes here anyway.Lately, a particular song I heard on the radio caught my attention. Well, alot of songs tend to inspire me, but I really like this one. It's "Does He Love You" by Reba McEntire! I like Reba too.The lyrics to this song is really interesting, so check it out on youtube, imeem or something. It's actually a duet by two ladies about having to share the man they love. Something like that. The ending is pretty shocking. But I thought, why not have a guy version? So this is what I came up with:Renamed to "Does She Love Me" LolI've known about you for a while nowWhen she leaves me she wears a smile nowAs soon as she's away from meIn your arms is where she wants to beBut does she love meLike she loves youDoes she think of youWhen she's with meAnd does she whisper (does she w... February. (A Very Very Thrilling Month)
2008-02-04 20:11:00 The exams are finally over and the 10-week long break I'm having right now is like the transition period between my year 1 days and the start of my second year at SP. (Unless I flop something and end up having to repeat year 1) I have a lot to rant about this, but I think I'll save it for until I receive some confirmation that I actually MADE it to year 2. =xFirst of all, let me start off by wishing everyone a very happy chinese new year. And for those who do not celebrate the festival, enjoy the holiday anyway. ^^ February always seems to be a very thrilling month for me, totally packed with activities.Although I must say Istill prefer Christmas, I'm learning how to appreciate Chinese New Year as well. Yes, I'm not denying that it can be a very stressful period, with all the spring cleaning to be done, or the shopping for groceries in completely packed supermarkets. But the food totally makes up for all this. You see, the older generation from my mom's side of the family are m... More About: Month

Statistics
2008-01-25 18:20:00 Well, one paper down, two more to go. As it turns out, I could only manage to finish studying 4 chapters before the statistics paper I had today (despite how confident I sounded in my last post of finishing all 12). I tried, but I just couldn't do it. Imagine a whole year's worth of formulas and concepts packed into a few hours. So I cleared the four chapters and then went into my bedroom and prayed. No, I mean literally. I asked God to 'settle' the remaining 8 chapters for me, then I went to bed.I was more refreshed in the morning, so I figured I'd try to do a bit more revision. I was frantically flipping through whatever 'notes' I had(mainly the 4 chapters) right to the last moment before we were told to enter the examination room. I wasn't very sure about many of the formulas. I was panicking. Thankfully, there was Hui Li and Wan Ling there to clear some of my doubts, and Joan to help me check my seat number (that I remember printing out, but obviously misplaced)The paper... The big "who-gets-the-can" dispute
2008-01-24 11:12:00 I'm taking a break from my mugging... Finished 2 chapters so far, just 10 more to go. I believe I can do it! I am making slow, but thorough progress through the 12 chapters of statistics. It's kinda like I'm actually learning about statistics now, while everyone else's just doing revision. Blame it on my lack of effort through the year, not to mention my attendance. But on the brighter side of things, at least I'm doing something now. ^^This afternoon, I was caught in the middle of a dispute between two elderly women. It all started with me having lunch at the Coffeeshop near my place. This elderly woman(the sort who collects cans and then sell them to recycling companies) approached my table. So instinctively, I poured whatever's remaining in my can of green tea into the cup and tried to pass it to her, but she said in hokkien that she can take the used can later and just wanted to talk (or something like that, I don't really understand alot of hokkien). All was fine. That w... More About: Dispute
Bowling
2008-01-23 16:55:00 It's 5 minutes to 24th January 2007. In other words, I have just about a day before it's my Statistics final exams, and I have yet to start my revision. (I swear). In fact, I wouldn't call it revision, cause some of the topics, I have yet to even learn. And my notes? Quite blank from all the days I haven't been attending my lectures. But don't get the wrong idea, I'm not complaining. I'm just making a 'as-a-matter-of-fact" statement. But don't try telling me its too late, don't even hint, I don't dig that. Tomorrow, its 100% into revision for me. (Must work very very hard)It's not like revising hasn't even crossed my mind, it's just that sometimes I just have these sudden 'urges' for certain food dishes or activities and it's almost impossible for me to think of statistics when I was completely preoccupied, obsessed even, with the thought of going bowling. (suddenly). The original plan was to do my revision today, and go bowling with Joan tomorrow. However, the temp... More About: Bowling
This Blog's Back.
2008-01-21 15:00:00 Since the holidays are coming soon, and after that, the new school year, I thought it's time I did a bit of reflection on how I spent my year. I decided that maybe my blog records could help me remember the events of the year, so I went to do a little search, but I found my blog quite empty. Then I remembered- I haven't been actually writing much and whatever I did write, I erased soon after. And this whole not-blogging thing started when? January 2007. Back then, I was determined that 2007 be a completely revolutionary year for me. So I created a new blog address, and made my old blog completely unaccessible (by messing with the template) so that nobody could read it. It's not that my old blog was filled with profanity or that I have anything to hide about my past. In fact, life was quite good for me in secondary school. It's just that I wanted a new blog to write about the newer things. But eventually, I lost track of things, and stopped writing in my blog.I found it quite iron...
Am I Ready?
2007-11-24 18:42:00 I changed the layout and theme of my blog again, I figured that this time, I needed something with brighter colour tones to make me feel more 'optimistic' and positive about my life. The old one was simply too dull-looking =x. I also had my tagboard remade and my previous posts deleted (There were less than 20 of them anyway). I want everything to start off nice, clean and fresh. But I decided not to reset my counter cause it pains me to start it all over from zero again. =/Class starts again tomorrow and I don't think I'm prepared. After missing so many classes, you tend to feel kind of lost. The fact that I've been feeling unwell, with a bit of a fever and a terrible sorethroat that doesn't go away only makes it worse. But I have to try to make it to class tomorrow, no matter how bad I feel. I've come to realise the more classes I skip, the harder it is to get back on track.I've been telling myself to take control, but this time, I'm not going to be unrealistic and tell my... A Long-dued Post
2007-11-22 10:42:00 The title says it all, this post has been long overdued. Afterall, it's been more than a whole month since my previous post. It's late November, and I've been thinking alot lately about how I've been spending the year so far. But no matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to figure where I've spent the year, nearly all 365 days of it or the 8760 hours.1) I haven't been studying (or even attending class regularly),2) I haven't been doing my assignments properly,3) I haven't been spending as much time as I should with my family and friends,4) I scraped the Cosplay Party that I was supposed to be organising for the Youth Committee and even skipped quite a number of the events I'm supposed to turn up for,5) I haven't even been writing in this blog or chatting with my friends online like I used to,It's as though I've just awoken from a very deep sleep with no clue what has been going on in the world. But wait a minute, I haven't been sleeping enough too! So where exactly ha... More About: Post , Long
One With The Internet
2007-09-15 18:51:00 Okay, I realise it's been quite awhile since I last posted here and I don't expect anyone to notice this anytime soon, but I'll still go ahead and write. I've pretty much been spending most of my time at home lately, hiding myself away from the world. Meanwhile, I've been becoming more and more unhealthy in my habits. I spend more than 10 hours (and that's a conservative statement) on my computer everyday, reading articles, watching YouTube videos or downloading and trying computer games. So far, I've "tried" or rather "re-tried" Lunia, GunBound, Maple Story, Gunz, Darkness and Light, Ragnarok Online and I'm in the process of downloading this new game called "Fiesta". I've practically become "One with the Internet ".The situation is so bad, I think my computer gave up on me and finally crashed. I couldn't get it to boot. In the end, I had to take it to the service center. As it turns out, there had been a hard-disk malfunction so I had to get it replaced. Now it's running ... More About: The Internet

I'm Back
2007-09-06 15:06:00 Alright, I guess I haven't been writing anything here for awhile. But you can't blame me.You see, there was this evil witch who put me into deep sleep. It was supposed to be for eternity, but then this princess came along and kissed me, so I woke up. And the first thing I thought of after being revived was to blog! Really! =xAlot's been going on lately. I'm supposed to be at the peer mentors interview today, but my aunt advised me not to commit myself to CCAs at the moment, since they're not a prerequisite for entry to a university right now. So I took her advice. Been trying to contact the lecturer to tell her I'm pulling out but can't seem to get through her number.I think the rest is old news so I shan't bore you with the details of my daily activities here. =/But there IS one thing I HAVE to write about, so I will never forget it and learn from the experience. The New Singapore Polytechnic Principal
2007-08-29 19:39:00 As I had predicted in my last post, I ended up oversleeping and lazing at home for the most of the day. But it turns out that both outings were eventually cancelled so, not much missed there. Also, Eveline's going back to Indonesia for the first two weeks of the holidays. She gets to be with her fountain! Isn't that cool? Bring back the fountain leh. =xAnyway, has anyone heard about the new SP principal yet? The current principal, Mr Low Wong Fook is set to retire by the end of 2007 and Ngee Ann Poly's deputy principal, Mr Tan Hang Cheong will take his place. looks like we can prepare ourselves for lots of speeches to come. =p But on a more serious note, let's hope the new principal takes the school to even greater heights. If you're interested in learning more about the new principal, you can read the article here.I need to make a proposal for a halloween party for about 100 people as soon as possible. Anyone got any ideas?Oh, and try this:What's Your Pizza Personality?Pepperon... More About: Singapore , Principal , Polytechnic , Technic
I've Been Out And About.
2007-08-28 08:48:00 I've been out and about this couple of days. Bowling, Arcade and by the looks of it, I might be going cycling with Eveline and Gang tomorrow, or I could be going to the movies with M, J and the Bonsai. But being the incredibly lazy person I am, I'll probably just oversleep and end up lazing at home all day.Anyway, there's now a new King Of Fighters game at Jurong Entertainment Centre's X-Zone! KOF Maximum Impact! What's best about this version is that it retains the essence of KOF and the storyline that has made it successful all these years, but at the same time, there is a huge jump in the quality of the graphics (Now 3D) and the characters. Now after choosing your character, you even get to choose between a few "versions" of that character. Interesting huh? And now, I have a new addition to my list of favourite characters to use: Billy Kane. When I first tried playing him in Maximum Impact, I couldn't keep myself from laughing. No, seriously. He swings his stick round and r...
Mother Theresa's Crisis Of Faith/ Quiz for Nic.
2007-08-26 11:30:00 What comes to mind when you hear the name "Mother Theresa"? I'd think greatness, someone who has been directly inspired by God to do good. Mother Theresa is internationally famed for being an advocate for the poor and homeless. In 1979, Mother Theresa won the Nobel Peace Prize for her inspiring humanitarian efforts. She has been a spiritual icon and inspiration to many and as far as I'm concerned, she was a living saint. It has been said that her remarkable deeds are connected to her closeness with God, that she found courage within her faith. She was often described as someone who has found true inner peace and tranqulity within herself. All the more shocking the recently surfaced letters that Mother Theresa wrote over a 66 year period, as reported by Time Magazine. The letters described her going through a period of spiritual emptiness, in which she couldn't feel any presence of God whatsoever."Jesus has a very special love for you. As for me, the silence and the emptiness is so ... More About: Quiz , Faith , Crisis , Cris
Goodbye Exams, Hello Holidays!
2007-08-24 07:35:00 I had my last paper (Economics) yesterday, the exams have finally ended. I don't think I'll do too well for the exams cause I'm really quite ill-prepared. But fortunately, I have Eveline, Hui Li and the others to help me along the way with their notes. And I've also got to thank Michelle, Jamie for their help with obtaining the Economics notes from their friend. In any case, I'm glad the Exams are finally over. After the Economics paper yesterday, we went to KBOX at orchard. And us being the usual whacky group of people we are, had quite alot of fun. This time, we even had Clifton join us, for a very special reason... But I won't elaborate. XDThen we went to HMV, where I FINALLY got my "Patti LaBelle- Live One Night Only" DVD. It costed me $44/=, more than what a Michael Jackson DVD costs these days. But I think its definitely worth every cent, I've been searching EVERYWHERE for it- That CD Shop, Sembawang, You name it! And this was HMV's last piece, if thought that if I didn... More About: Holidays , Goodbye
Legends Ball
2007-08-22 19:42:00 It's oast 2am, which means less than 7 hours to the Economics exam and I'm far from prepared. Blame YouTube and that "Oprah's Legends Ball " video that got me hooked on for hours. It was basically a "slighty-shorter-that-1 hour" video that was cut into five parts. But I think it took longer than that to fully load. What's worse is that halfway through, something went wrong with Internet Explorer and the window had to close itself. But it was all worth it. If you haven't heard of the Legends Ball, it was basically a three day celebration organised by Oprah Winfrey, celebrating the legacy of 25 african-american women she calls "Legends"(Patti LaBelle's one of them =)). The whole event reportedly took a whole year to plan, it was also extremely extravagant- We're talking 1 personal attendant for each of the legends and diamond drop earrings worth more than $30,000 as a parting gift.If you're interested in learning more about Oprah's Legends Ball, you can read the Wikipedia artic...
A Day That Did Not Go As Planned.
2007-08-21 17:56:00 I'm supposed to have at least completed my revision for the Economics exam coming up by now, but once again, things did not go as smoothly as planned.Well, at least I completed 2 chapters (Just 10 more to go through.)... and I'll do more later..Hmm, apparantly, quite a few tried the "What Ice Cream Are You?" quiz. It turns out Jamie is Chocolate Chip Ice Cream, like me. While William and Eveline belong to the Strawberry Ice Cream family. Michelle's Coffee and Julaiha's Rocky! Speaking about Ice Cream flavours, my personal favourite is actually Chocolate... Rich and creamy... Thick and smooth =PWhich reminds me, Ms Tracy once commented about how reading my blog never fails to make her hungry. Haha. Does it really work?Gee, I really need to get focused on my exams now. The next paper, which also happens to be the last is coming this thursday- Economics. I've got to really revise for this one, and try to do better so I can redeem myself a little. And then after that, we're into t...

How Much We've All Changed
2007-08-11 13:20:00 I was just looking through some of my childhood friends' friendster profiles. It's amazing to see how some of them change so much it's like they're two different people. Then it struck me how much I've changed myself. Somehow, it's always easier to notice the changes in other people and harder to see how much we've really changed ourselves.Isn't it funny? To see how we're doing some things ourselves now that we couldn't understand when we were younger and looking back to find some of the things we did as a kid ridiculous.Remember exchanging letters with your friends even though you just sit next to each other in class? Talking about all your impossible dreams on the phone all through the night? Remember finding little envelopes on your table after recess full of powder, paper hearts and sprinkly stuff proclaiming: "You are my Best Friend! Frens 4 ever!"? How about those little diaries everyone kept?Funny, but when you look back at it, kind of sweet at the same time. I gues...
Happy Birthday To Me!
2007-08-09 18:19:00 I know I haven't exactly been blogging alot lately but I promised to post on my Birthday , didn't I? Well, here it is. But before I go on about my birthday wishes this year, I want to talk about a nightmare I had yesterday. Maybe Syafiqah can help me interpret it. =xMy dream started like this:I got up from bed and when online to check my Exam Schedule on the E-portal. I looked at the ITAB timetable to confirm that my ITAB Exam starts at 3pm. Everything seemed fine. It was way too early to go to school, so I watched a little bit of TV and played some online games. Then at about 15 mins before 12 noon, I started to feel strange and somehow I decided to SMS Hui Li about the Exam. She called me back and asked, "Where are you?! The Exam is starting at 12!". "What?!", I was shocked. But it was too late, my mistake had costed me... everything closed in. Everything looked so real, it's as though it really happened. Enough about that. I've decided that today should be a turning point for m... More About: Happy , Happy Birthday
*Ahem*... Conquering The World
2007-01-09 23:44:00 Judging from the responses, it seems like quite a few people are fascinated by my ambition... Or rather, you people don't think I can do it, do you? Hmf. Well, at least I have some people on my side.I think I've recieved some influence from syafiqah (If you know her well enough, you'd know what I mean). I had a weird dream last night... In my dream, I was trying to unravel a certain code that's supposed to be the key to something. It was like a mystery of some sort. The code comes in the form of 3 symbols and to get to see each of them, I had to work really hard, kinda trick certain people to show it to me. So in my dream, I managed to uncover 2 of the 3 symbols:6ix 3ix ???And I was just about to get to see the 3rd symbol when A familiar tune woke me up. It was an SMS from Joan. That might have been the critical piece of information I need to conquer the world!! Or maybe not. But it would have been nice to know, nonetheless. ^_^Anyway, after the dream, I just couldn't go back t... More About: World , The World
An Update (Finally)
2007-01-06 10:19:00 Alright. I know its been a long long while since I updated my blog. Not since December 21 to be exact. I'm not even sure if anyone reads my blog anymore. *sigh* But alot's been going on... With Christmas, New Year and everything. There's so much to write about, I don't know where to start! I'll just talk about some of the things that have happened. Well, for one, I attended a christmas service cum dinner at a church for the first time since a long long time ago(despite the fact that I'm supposed to be catholic) with Michelle, Jamie and Debra. The people were all really friendly. They'd come and sit next to you, introduce themselves and befriend you. Debra's friends had the impression that I was the cold and snobbish sort, because I was eating and didn't react much to their warm self-introductions. (One of em' remarked, "Why he like don't care about us one?"). And the way Debra introduced me to her friends was also quite surprising. Anyway, the whole church thing was a gre... Isn't it weird?
2006-12-21 09:35:00 We went to have steamboat at Marina South yesterday to celebrate Jia En's birthday. I didn't get to eat much, only a little, and then before you know it, its late and time to go.They were all talking about their Jobs, how hard they worked and stuff like that. All of it just served to make me feel guilty for lazing around. But uts not going to stay like that for long, I've already started looking. I'm supposed to visit a recruitment agency today to fill in my particulars and submit a resume but I've decided to postpone it. (Procrastination again)And you what's most funny about it? You know how I've been living with this "Must have fun now, work later" attitude the past couple of weeks? Well, everyone was working and no one had anytime to go out. And then just when I'm starting to feel motivated to get a job, all the opportunities to have fun just start coming in. Like friends asking if I wanna go for a movie, or Arcade and things like that.
