IMPORTANCE OF WEB HOSTING
2008-09-13 09:22:00
As I have promised, I made this in continuation with my previous post about understanding web hosting. So, just a quick review, web hosting is the physical storage of files like hard disks on computers where huge files can be placed. Web hosting companies provide servers in which data are stored and smooth connectivity to the internet is guaranteed. Then why the heck it's very important to businesses? Well, that is a question We will tackle now. There are so many things why web hosting is important to businesses. The first thing is that people tend to rely on the internet regarding convenience. When you have a website for your business, it will be easy for you to post your products. It looks like you have an online shop where customers can select what they like. It is also very convenient because your business operates 24/7. You can also accept payments off line via Paypal or credit cards.Web hosting varies from prices to security. One thing you have to be careful though, you need t...

CREDIT CARD APPLICATION
2008-09-10 18:12:00
There are things you need to consider when applying to have credit cards. Of course, you need to take a look at your credit rating. The better rating, the better chances of acquiring the best credit card option. You also need to consider that when applying, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are okay and good to go. The authority to issue all credit cards simultaneously rests with the issuer(The bank or the financial institution), who will first ensure whether you have a reliable financial background and you are in good faith. You should also compare different features the credit card options have: fluctuating interest rates, Annual Percentage Rates (APR s),credit limits, fees associated, penalties, billing cycles, grace periods, specs for cash advances and balance transfers, rewards, and other implied costs. If I were to choose, I would rather go for a low interest credit card. You also need to choose a card that best suits you. You may select from personal credit cards to busines...

THE ALPINE ODYSSEY
2008-09-08 18:25:00
Being in a Tropical Region of the world makes me always dream of witnessing snow. How I wish it is raining snow here in the Philippines but this is just a far fetched dream (for now, I guess). However, going to Switzerland for an ultimate snow experience is not! My friends and I are planning to visit the wonderful country of Switzerland for a ski adventure. We've searched on the internet regarding the places to visit and luckily we were able to spot a multitude of tourist information services, ski resorts, and spacious Switzerland ski chalets. One of the interesting resorts that we've found are Portes du Soleil and ski chalets in the 4 Valleys of the Swiss Alps. The ambiance are very nice and very conducive for a marvelous escapade. Aside from the commodious atmosphere, you can also lodge a self-catered ski chalet where you can save plenty of money and give you more privacy and convenience. With this, you can save money by cooking your own food and drinking in front of your own...

FEMINIZED
2008-09-07 12:21:00
Based on reasearch and studies, one of the reasons why men do not go to doctors or health care providers is that they think that Health services are Feminised. According to Dr. Ian Banks, President of the Men's Health Forum, men often feel health sevices make them feel unwelcome. One reason is the feminised way health practices are done in clinics or in hospitals- From the decors up to information that are biased towards women. One example are the magazines offered while waiting.I can certainly feel for them being a man that I am but indeed, our health is something not to be taken for granted. Men, ego aside should always consult health professionals or suffer the consequences. Good thing centerformenshealth.com is here to offer assistance on men's health and wellness. They focus on the issues most men have like impotence and herpes (Those sort of things men don't want to confide comfortably with health care professionals). They also provide products like Cialis for impotence.I s...
LUCKY YOU!
2008-09-07 11:13:00
I like Eric Bana. I might have not watched all of his movies (I just actually watched one, and it's incredible hulk) but his acting style is considerably one of the best among Hollywood male celebrities. One of his movies that I wish I had watched on a wide screen was "Lucky you". The film was about a guy (Eric Bana who plays Huck Cheever) who is very skillful as a Poker player but fails to translate his talent into his love life attempts to win the World Series of Poker while earning the love of a Las Vegas singer, Billie Offer (Drew Barrymore). There is one obstacle though as his rival on the game is his father (Robart Duvall), the poker legend who left them years ago.I wonder if the thrill is the same if they play the game on the internet. Will Huck feel the same tension? Will the prize be bigger? Lucky us! Flipturnriver.com gives us a wonderful shot on the hottest Poker games around the net. Get reviews from the best Poker sites like Pokerstars and Full tilt. Get the nicest Poke...

FULFILLING FULFILLMENT
2008-09-04 18:29:00
Tracking the orders for the item has never been easy. It is okay if customers will just ask about the tracking information but once they can not locate their item, that's how the waterloo starts. You need to consider multiple factors in locating the item. First, you need to check the record for the fulfillment date of the order. (Fulfillment stage is where the customer has already paid for the order and the item/s will be ready to be shipped out from the seller's warehouse.). You also need to check how many days will the item will be shipped out through the order fulfillment section. These ship out process usually happens within the business days so you have to check your calendar for such.Obviously, you also need to check the carriers of the item. It can be through USPS, FedEx, UPS, UPSMI, and FedEx Smart post (and DHL sometimes). then you can check if the item is still on its way or if it has already been delivered. If it had already passed the delivery date, you still have to c...

CRIBS AND LUGGAGES
2008-09-01 05:30:00
I just purchased a copy of a Showbiz magazine whereas the famous Filipino celebrities' cribs were featured. Well, taking the fact that they're rich and famous, you should expect that their pads are as gorgeous and stylish as far as your imagination will take you. My favorite then was Ricky Reyes's.Aside from the fabulous interiors, the celebrities also showcased their prized possessions. One that I remember was Heart Evangelista's set of Designer luggage bags. It was all Louis Vuitton. How I wish could strut at the famous Italian streets with all those fantastic luggage bags!I'd rather take my chances here at villageluggageandgifts.com. You can really find all over a hundred or even thousand designs to choose from. Aside from going to a luggage store, you might want to click here and see it for yourself.

WEB HOSTING IN LAYMAN'S TERMS
2008-08-29 04:16:00
I've been hearing lots of advertisements, whether through the internet or radio about this web hosting. To tell you honestly I am not a "techie" person so I really don't have an idea. I looked for some sites to get an answer and admittedly I got more confused than ever. (Why the heck should they use those terms anyway?). I am tired (or I guess lazy..) to look for web hosting articles and I am not "techie" enough for that stuff so I just asked a friend who majored computer science to explain it to me in the simplest way. He told me that it's just like a regular hardware of a computer where you store files. True enough, if you have a website then the web hosting is the physical location of your website that stores all the information such as texts, pictures, music, videos and other content. Web hosting providers maintain a server to store the data associated to your website and they provide the technology to guarantee your connectivity to the world through the internet. I came up...

CREDIT REPAIR SERVICES
2008-08-27 05:08:00
I had experienced working as a Customer service representative in a Credit Card Company and to tell you, it is not a joke. Everyday the queues never end, hearing the usual complaints and rants from the customers. There are times that they cuss directly at you which only adds up to the stress especially if you can't help them nor the supervisors with their concerns.Well, sometimes I can't blame them if they pour their angst and desperation to us. Credit is such an important thing in the United States. It is a matter of life and death when their credit gets messed up. I encountered calls where the customer ended up wailing because he has no place to go and a woman was begging me to offer her a credit repair. What can I do? What even the heck is a credit repair? It is always said that customers should be responsible with their account but what if there are inaccurate reports? Those concerns were no longer within my capability as a front line representative so I transferred them (whic...

LIfe at the mountain....
2008-08-25 04:40:00
It has been eight years since I was selected as one of the lucky few to enter the Philippine High School for the Arts. Of course, as the name says, the institution is aimed to hone the selected students' skill in their particular Art Major. Like me, my Major is Visual Arts. The school is located at one of the peaks of Mt. Makiling. Obviously, our place is quite secluded and high. The view was very nice. Since we are on a mountain, the only time we can go to our homes is during weekends. Dormitories and food were provided for our stay. I can say that living on the mountain is a different experience especially if you came from an urban area. You listen to the tune of the cicadas roaming around the trees outside your room, you hear the giant lizard's grunts to signal that a rain is approaching, and you also share spooky stories with your roommates in the glow of the lamps during midnight. Speaking of lamps, each and every student has a unique one. We were required to use it (just i...

TRADE SHOW GALORE!
2008-08-23 05:20:00
I am so happy I experienced even for once to attend a Trade show. I remember when I was still in college, our Dean invited me to go with him to the Philippine Trade Center to witness the different Filipino made products being showcased to attract foreign market and subsequently, for export. Our Dean was also invited there to conduct a seminar regarding Franchise Management. I was so astounded as I entered the hall. I never expected to be as grand as that. The trade show displays are so enticing that you would really visit each and every stall. The products vary from food to handicrafts and furniture. The hall is also filled with people from different parts of the country. The stall that gathered so much attention was the SPA booth. They had these huge banner stands that really attracted visitors. They have a miniature spa (and they even put bermuda grasses to make it look real!) in which people can have try. I figured out then that you really need to make your stall very presentab...

LEGO MANIA
2008-08-22 12:20:00
Oh my, oh my.. How I love my childhood days. I might not be as athletic and active as any normal child during that time (Yes, I do not know how to swim nor ride a bike that time--shoot.) but I can say that I am not a total loser because I have lots of cousins and friends whom I can come up with alternative toys and games (those that not require expensive toys, biking and other extremes). Also, my mom made me surrounded with lots of amazing "detachable" blocks to rollick at."Detachable" blocks eh? Haha! I am talking about Lego . Thanks to my cousin who enticed me to have one too. He handed me a catalog and it was Outrageous! There are lots of stuff like people and trees and all things that you can think of! I was so intrigued that I persuaded my mom to go to the mall with me to buy one. My first "real" Lego then was a mini castle with a glowing ghost and a knight riding on a horse! I did not become contended with that set so I eventually bought another one, then another one, until I ca...

Christianity 101
2008-08-21 12:33:00
I have been in a Christian Religion ever since I was a child but I have to admit that I still commit a lot of mistakes in my life. As what a Christian doctor says, being one does not make you invulnerable or invincible. There would really be times that your faith will be tested just like gold being tried in the fire. Let me put this straight though, I am not justifying the mistakes and failures christians commit nor make excuses to those. I would just like to emphasize that God is merciful and he certainly lends a hand to those who beseech him. When I was young, my mother used to wake me up very early to dress up to go to church and attend Sunday school. There, We were being taught how to say our prayers, read the Bible, sing praise songs, and memorize our favorite Bible verses. My favorite verse then was the Gospel which is John 3:16. As I grew a bit older and had more understanding, I accepted Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour. There came problems, mistakes, and failures. T...

BEIJING OLYMPICS
2008-08-17 16:13:00
The 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony was held at the Beijing National Stadium or "Bird's Nest". It began at 8:00 PM or 20:00 China Standard Time on the 8th of August 2008. The number 8 is associated with prosperity and confidence in Chinese culture. The ceremony was directed by Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou and the event was comprised of 15,000 cast. It was said that it was the most spectacular Opening ceremony at the history of Olympics ever produced.A rich assembly of ancient Chinese art and culture dominated the ceremony. It opened with the beating of Fou drums for the countdown. Subsequently, a giant scroll was unveiled and became the show's centerpiece. The official song of the 2008 Olympics was performed by Britain's Sarah Brightman and China's Liu Huan, and was titled You and Me.Former Chinese gymnast Li Ning ignited the cauldron. The entry parade of the competing athletes was in a different order from previous Olympic ceremonies, because it was not in ordinary alpha...

The Worlds first Dynamic Architecture-once again DUBAI
2008-08-10 11:35:00
As I have promised guys, I will be posting stuff related to technology. This will be my first entry for my Tech Bytes section.Dubai is really crazy... Haha! I wish I am there to witness their craziness. Dubai creates a multitude of world records. The tallest building, the largest mall, the largest man-made Marina are just one of them. In this post, A milestone in technology and architecture I should say was revealed as a different kind of infrastructure will be erected on the amazing land of Dubai. The tower will be called: "Dynamic Architecture Tower".The Dynamic Architecture building, which will be constantly in motion changing its shape, will be able to generate electric energy for itself as well as for other buildings. Forty-eight wind turbines fitted between each rotating floors as well as the solar panels positioned on the roof of the building will produce energy from wind and the sunlight, with no risk of pollution. The total energy produced by this inbuilt ?powerhouse? every...

CHARICE PEMPENGCO
2008-08-10 11:35:00
Truly, Charice's popularity and stardom is unstoppable. She has ben through a lot of setbacks and struggles yet she managed to take at it though as it were challenges. With a passion that fanned her burning desire to achieve her dreams plus the hardwork, and the support of her mother, the once farfetched mirage has finally became within her reach. Can I just say that Charice is so bongga?I'm not making up stories her okay but her first appearance on MTB ( a local noontime show in the Philippines) was not the first time I saw her. I even witnessed her singing prowess and vocal abilities LIVE on a school program when she sang "dakilang lahi" by Ciara Sotto. Charice was a special guest and I was one of the student performers. She was really young then but as what Ellen and Oprah were trying to fathom, you would really think how in the world did that small body obtain such strong and powerful voice?I knew then that her talent will really get her somewhere and I was not mistaken. Useful Information - ATM card
2008-07-19 14:02:00
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN number in reverse order. For example if your pin number is 1234 then you would put in 4321.The ATM recognizes that your pin number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to help you. This information was recently broadcasted on TV and it states that it is seldom used because people don't know it exists.

REMEMBERING OUR SUMMER CLASS
2008-02-07 14:02:00
It's been two years since we had our very memorable summer sessions. The curricculum that we were mandated to take on a summer was called Feasibility Study. This is actually the continuation of our Market Acceptability Analysis. In this subject we are now to establish a business based on the success of the acceptance of the public on the proposed product (I really don't know how to make it simple so just please bear with me.)So here's our product.... (I would like to say thanks to Adobe Photoshop for doing such a good job. Actually I was the one who made the design through this wonderful software)Ever since the group was formed. We were already four. I'm the only male on the group but I think it didn't make any difference at all... haha! We were excited yet a bit apprehensive because the specialist that would be handling the class was infamously known as a Terror Professor. We were excited because we were determined to get the Best Feasibility Study and we were scared as well b...

MELANCHOLY AND CONFUSION
2008-02-02 10:57:00
This week had been very very hard for me. There were situations that I had just encountered for the first time. Indeed life is the best learning ground. You won't know what's gonna happen as your journey goes. It's really difficult for me to do this post as emotions surge through out my inner being.... mixed emotions actually. I do not deny the fact that i'm struggling from my sexuality and I accept who am I right now. I admit, I do engage and explore on some things like trying to mingle with someone who's having the same preferences. I even joined a community dedicated for such. I meet someone and they do ask for my number but I've never met one.Absurd as it may seem but every time I was invited for a meet-up I always refused. I can't explain the chills and the nerves. Many people passed by and I can say for myself that I somehow missed the chance.MELANCHOLY....There was this invitation though that I had not resisted. It was from a guy who kept on messaging me ever since Se...
