2008-02-29 17:29:00 The world is still rotating, while people like Han snatched up 6 awards, $1000 cash and lots of Kino vouchers at Founder’s Day. That’s one reason why I didn’t turn up for Founder’s Day — Feeling inferior much? I mean, how can one possibly get top for Math, Chemistry, Physics, along with Scholastic Merit Award, Top Student Award, and the biggest joke… Best Progress Award? Right, you get a Best Progress Award for improving from straight As to straight As. But, no really, it was a reasonable decision. It’s total coolness when 3 out of 28 people in your class are present. At least I’ve fabricated my excuse for missing school already. The 1,000 policemen are still unable to catch a limping JI terrorist. Derek is scared. But what’s the deal here? Founder’s Day in the middle of Term Exams? And the least they could have done was to invite Jocelyn Bell Burnell. Which was exactly what NUS did. Thusly, I went to NUS for her lecture....
