Birthday Preps: Venue Hunting

Yes, I am already scouting for possible venues for Dani's 2nd Birthday Party.These are my options but subject to budget approval:Dad's GloriettaMax's Restaurant Park SquareActive Fun/HobbiesJollibeeMcDoKFC JupiterCabalen was ruled out when I found out they don't offer meryenda buffet anymore. Without it, masyado syang mahal hihi.Having a pool party is also an option if only we can find a nice pool w/in makati or pasay. Hubby insisted we throw a small party for the little girl. I was opting for a family outing instead. Anyways, expect some birthday preps from now on :)~~~maybe Branson real estate has a pool?

One of the things I regret in our HK Trip was me forgetting to buy Royce Nama Chocolates . So I was already on my way to write a letter to a friend in SG who has a hubby, who will be returning here soon, a por favor to buy me a box. I decided to google again as to where to specifically buy these delightful concoctions, lo and behold, thanks to ajay now I know where I can get them myself. I hope they wont run out soon *fingers crossed*

New Shades

Bought this shades among the pasalubongs for the little girl. She liked it :) This photo was taken on our way to tagaytay. Yesterday, hubby's F@W invited us for a family day trip to Picnic Grove. I still have yet to upload decent photos, can't seem to find the cam's usb cable. Anways, the little girl was able to ride on a horse, with her dad! :) Funny thing is, we have the horse to ouselves for an hour, 10mins has passed and the little girl went limp on her daddy's arms, nakatulog na pala hehe Pinasakay na lang namin yung mga kids na kasama namin kasi malamang hindi na kami makakabalik at magla-lunch pa kami. Sabi kasi nung bantay, pwede nman daw kaming bumalik pag gising na daw si dani.We had our lunch at one of Mahogany's eateries and met with the rest of hubby's officemates. Syempre ako lang yata ang tumira ng "utak", masarap din yung inorder nilang crispy dilis, mejo terno sa bulalo :) We bought some fruits: papaya, pineapple and mango. Yey, we were able to attend the mass :) Hay.. honestly we're an occasional church goer hehe hirap din kasi pag kasama namin si Dani. I don't get to concentrate on the mass tapos naiinip pa sya agad. Not to mention mga kasama mo na nadi-distract kay Dani. Anyways, basta happy ako may palaspas kami :)After hearing mass direcho shopping hehe actually nasa loob ng SM yung mass kaya ganun. Eh kahapon may binili akong tights kay dani na super tight so sinoli ko na lang and bought white pants for her instead. Managed to score also white sandals. 3day sale kasi so syempre nakaka-enganyo bumili.Maaga naman kami natapos, we just bought Andoks chicken and liempo and had lunch at home na lang. Around past 4pm, nagpaalam ako kay hubby na magswimming kami ni dani :) Nakup yung dalawang swimsuit na binili ko before kay dani, masikip talaga kahit pa yung isa 2yo ang size tapos yung isa 3yo, tsk. Anyways, enjoy na naman si kulit magtampisaw sa tubig. Buti hindi nagwala nung niyaya na nama...

5:45 - after the HKD49 taxi ride from taipa, we stopped in front of the senado square. we frantically searched for the infamous egg tart but to no avail. we managed to see a foreign exchange stall who accepts pesos though. HKD in hand, we are back in business.6:00 we were able to get our fill from milk tea HKD10 each and dumplings HKD7.2 for 6pcs6:30 Saw St. Dominic's Church7:00 already dark, still no egg tart, we decided to end our uphill walking tour with the fortress looming before us and no signs of St. Paul Ruins yet. downhill we go.7:20 anticipating muscle cramps for tomorrow, we went inside Watsons hoping to find ibuprofen pills for naught. instead, we were able to buy preserved plums HKD6, jackfruit chips HKD25, 800ml water HKD5.8 and panty liners HKD11.4. From the drugstore next door, we decided not to buy the doubious ibuprofen handed to us.This is going to be a long night..

4:18 - Passed by the Sam Po Temple 4:20 - Macanese residents saw three crazy girls jumping their hearts out (click thumbnails to see who jumped the highest)4:30 - Taipa Houses are all painted with the same color, I wonder why.. white exterior shutters reminds me of the dream house in "The Notebook"5:00 - we saw various flowers from the garden nearby. climbing uphill, we saw the church5:20 - we decided to sweat it out a little :D we saw these kinds near MOA. Macau : Hotel Taipa

Day 13:00 - After handing my booking form, Reception guy told me I need to deposit HKD500. Still "No Pesos" I was starting to get embarrassed, worried and irritated all at the same time. He just told me he'll credit it to my card and showed me a slip of HKD900 "reserved" amount.4:15 - all settled in our "1102" non-smoking room, we are now ready for a short walking tour. Minutes away from the hotel is the taipa village and the st.carmel church.11:00 - We're back at the hotel, bone-tired, we didn't mind the hard beds and even before tekeng had the chance to soak in the tub, we oldies were already creating zzzs :)Day 27:00 - Rise and shine, it was my turn for the tub. 4:00 - alarm sounded off5:00 - finally decided to wake up, received a text from minnie, she's on her way to the airport already6:00 - left the house, hailed a cab to NAIA Terminal 16:30 - saw minnie, got our boarding pass, checked in two baggage (my backpack and a tripod) at CebuPac counter. paid travel tax P1,620. paid terminal fee P750. queued for immigration but have to fall in line again because we did not fill up the embarkation form (?).7:30 - minnie bought Smart Prepaid Sim auto-roam for P3008:00 - we boarded the plane from Gate 1. Keng sat from the window seat with me squashed in between her and minnie.8:30 - we ate the donuts i bought last night and bought C2 on the plane for P50. eventually fell asleep. 9:50 - we landed on HK Airport 10mins earlier than expected. Kidnapping Alert

I've read Irmee's concern on kidnappings I myself have been hearing a lot about recently. Mothers in our carpool have been talking about it since last week. Apparently a kid (maybe about 7yo) from the school in our area has gone missing. Brings back the memory of Satanistas of my time. Hubby already mentioned it to yaya sel and told her to be cautious of strangers lurking about. I can see that she's also aware of it already. Anyways, even if our village security is in high alert, you'll never know, baka may makalusot pa rin. Makes me realize that Cavite is no different from Manila. Crimes can happen anywhere. Have any of you heard or personally know about such kidnapping case where the child end up dead because her organs were taken and sold to the black market?

Almost everybody is either on the way or trying to be pregnant. My brother texted me an oops message yesterday :D just when I thought they'd wait for another year. God really has another plan for them pala talaga :) A couple of N@Wies are also expecting already. Yesterday, minnie and I met with J&J with little J, and they casually mentioned that now that dani's almost turning two, that maybe it's time for a second baby. If you'll ask me two years ago, I would have agreed. However, the more I think about it, I am perfectly happy with just one. For now, indeed I am, forever.. hmm.. we'll see. I thought it's just a matter of financial readiness but it's more than that. What I do know is that the time i'm spending with my child is not enough and I would love to cherish every moment every chance I'd get. Movie Date: Vantage Point

Sa wakas we were able to use hubby's free movie tickets last night. Expiration date na kasi nya kahapon, so I made sure I exchange the passes with tickets for the movie Vantage Point during yesterday's lunch time. The flick started at 6:30pm, with a beefy mushroom jamaican patty and iced tea in hand, we settled ourselves and watched. I became somewhat restless nung medyo nagre-rewind na ulit yung movie to show another point of view pero overall the movie was ok naman. I was on the edge of my seat at times and find myself clutching hubby's arm tightly than the norm hehe I couldn't really say if it was more worthwhile watching than 10,000 B.C. which was one of the movies I was opting to watch sana. Pero ok na din, kahit matanda na si Dennis Quaid, pogi pa rin naman sya :D but its something I wouldn't really buy a ticket for and wait for the debedee release instead :D Thanks hubby for the movie date :) more, more!* this is a test post from my email. we'll see if this works then I...

i had another dream. the kind when all protagonist ends up hurt or dead. funny, it was like a tagalog movie. I was kristine hermosa, vina morales was my ate. i was caught up in a melodramatic scene as a victim or our local goverments corruption. for no reason at all, a certain barangay official was trying to sue me for something like physical injury. masakit daw ang shoulder nya dahil sakin. i remember touching his hand while pleading for the life of my father/brother. the case of my father/brother was dismissed pero ako naman ang napagdiskitahan.jestoni alarcon i think was an uncle whom i thought can be trusted. i seek advise from him, he told me to just say sorry. which i did, pathetically, crying, kneeling for mercy. the governor went out of the office and told the corrupt baragay official he's being unreasonable. samahan daw kami sa bayan para "ayusin" namin to.my ate vina felt they are up to no good, knowing that the other guy has been eyeing her the whole time, sa...

Buchoy initially didn't want to swim. Later on, nainggit na yata kay Dani and decided to join us kahit walang dalang swim wear. I hope yours are too.Death, no one can really prepare you for that. At least for the pain which I image will engulf you once it happens to your loved ones. So little time, so much to blog about. Bullets will do for now.We have a new laptop (forgive me but I don't remember the model, HP500 something), hubby got for only P38K. Basically, it's running on a Pentium Core Duo@1.66Ghz1GB RAM, still working on the budget for memory upgrade. I'm still trying to get used to it's keys layout.Finally got a hold onto a paperback copy of Twilight (P339) last saturday at powerbooks. Suprisingly it was displayed together with Children's Books. I wouldn't have noticed it if it was elsewhere. One will need to spend about P580 for a hardbound copy ( a much lower rate, last time I checked it was priced at P700 or so). Started reading the night after and finished the book by 2AM yesterday. Toni was right, it is an amazing book.I'm trying to compile a slowrock favorites youtube collection. Will post it sometime this week :)I already have a copy of Once (thanks to mich), will try to watch it..hmm.. maybe on thursday night.Currently sad that I haven't...

Yup, I just finished watching the deebeedee. When I first saw the trailer, I was eagerly anticipating for it, expecting ala-28days/weeks later kind of action. But I heard from a F@W that it's more geared to Tom Hanks' "Castaway" with lots of monologue. Sounds boring but still a bit intrigued. Was able to borrow it from Dani's ninong yesterday, popped it in the player and an hour and a half later, I felt a great sense of parental paranoia and ask myself. What does the future hold for my Dani?Monsters in various forms.. argh!Tsk. Its bad not only for my heart but also for my sanity..really. I remembered Mhay's post about The Powerful Prayer of Mothers and immediately said a short prayer for my daughter asking God to please look after her. I seldom pray nowadays but even before I rarely pray for myself. It's just that I trust God too much that I know He'll take care of everything.
