5 Things You May Not Know About Me

Kim over at Embracing Momminess tagged me for this. 1) Unlike most people, I love public speaking. I took first place in Purdue University-North Central Campus’ Hyde Park Forum competition with my speech about viable alternatives to animal testing. 2) I went to summer school every summer between 9th-11th grade so that I could graduate from high school a year early. 3) I am a distant cousin to Davy Crockett. My uncle did our geneology and found that Mr. Crockett is related to us on his mother’s side. I don’t wear raccoon hats, I feed raccoons instead. 4) I named a street on Yokota AFB in Japan. It was a contest open to the school kids. I was so proud! 5. I met my husband while our dads were stationed at Yokota, I was 13 and he was 15. We didn’t date when we were in school. Appetizer - What is one of your Christ mas traditions? Opening ONE gift on Christmas Eve. We’re doing Christmas here tonight, since my daughter is not going to be here for Christmas this year. So we’re totally breaking with tradition this year. Soup - Who is the easiest person on your list to buy presents for? Don’t laugh, it’s the cats! They don’t care what we get them. Everyone else is a struggle, including me. I guess that just means we don’t want for anything, and that’s a gift in itself, eh? Salad - What is your favorite Christmas scent? Thirteen of tiggerprr’s Holiday Memories 1. Starting to doubt Santa then finding a reason to believe, or at least suspend disbelief for a few more years. 2. Celebrating Christmas with my college friends during my freshman year at the University of Central Arkansas. It really is true that friends are the family you make. I only wish that I was still in touch with more than a few of them. We were broke college kids, but we really took care of eachother they took really good care of me. I really felt loved during those times. 3. The anticipation and wondering if it was too early to get everyone out of bed when I was little. I always woke up so early, 430am or so, and I’d lay in bed awake waiting for it to be a more reasonable time. I tossed and turned a lot. LOL 4. Finally getting to go see what Santa and his reindeer brought me. Unlike a lot of kids today, I kept nearly everything I ever got and played with it for years. OC heer, Mama’s not lookin so weer takin over furr a minit. Carma, the fat fluffy cat and me, OC, nomynaeted owr Papa for Skeezix the Catz Food Dood of the Yeer Reward. Weed appreeshiated if yood go vote fer him. Yoo can click the pikchur over there by yoor right paw to reed owr storee and then rejister to vote if yoo like. Carma wood like me to tell yoo that itz fer a good cause. Many cats and their peepul have hit some hard timez or had health issuez and Skeezix’s Food Lady sed sheed donate $1 a entreee to several peepul up to $50 per person/cat friend.
