As his son leeaves to get the reports from the medical lab next to the shop, the man asks for a cigrette, lights it and watches his son dissappear into the building. I fiddle with a cigrette of my own, calculating the exposure I would need. I had the advantage, I was carrying a f1.8 nifty fifty. I knew I was going to have a great photo tonight. He took small puffs of the cigrette, lasting no longer than 2 seconds - and thats all the time I would get to get to the view finder and click. I prefocused, which was very hard, since it was only f1.8 I had only 1 shot before disturbing the piece. I waited. He took a puff, and I missed it. I wasn’t ready, there wasn’t enough people on the background. The lights from the hotel would ruin it.
