Happy Valentines day to...
2008-02-14 06:23:00
Ben, for being a wonderful husband, lover, friend and father. James, for the adventures, for the years and for loving me like you do. Paul K, for calling me princess and making me feel less normal. Richard, for dancing with me when we’re drunk. Voyager, for the talk, play, real food and friendship. Garry, for never forgetting about me. Paul P, for watching me sleep. Ricardo, for singing and dancing and rarely wearing clothes. Evan R, for endless hours of being a friend, inspiration and everything you’ve done. Evan D, for cycling 60 kms a day, rain or shine, to spend every night with me. Don, for many great days and nights and for bringing me fish in the middle of nowhere. Jason, for bringing out the kid in me and all of the bruises. M, for arriving on my doorstep in an Arab costume. Buddy, for offering a shoulder, for listening, answering and waiting. Jeff, for being so precious. Phil, for wanting me and telling me. And most of all to all of you for l...

What are you getting yourself for Valentines Day?
2008-02-09 08:53:00
If you’re gazing enviously at the bouquet of roses on your colleague’s desk this Valentine’s Day, remember there’s a chance they’re not from a secret admirer or even a significant other. 8 million Americans have admitted to buying themselves a Valentines Day gift. While I was laughing away at such absurdity I paused a moment to ask myself the question “Would I?” Unfortunately I probably would , especially if I had an office job surrounded by other woman…or, a really hot boss! In fact, hot boss scenario could well see me investing in something pretty impressive. Sally thats very sad! For those who arent as desperate as me, blokes, although you’re planning to buy her lingerie she’d rather have jewellery and even if you agree to “lets not do gifts” you are still expected to get her one! Jewellery also gets my vote if choosing one or the other (white gold with sapphires ). If I could broaden the options? This year...

Kentucky Fried immorality
2008-02-06 17:04:00
The night I got back from up North I headed to Pauls, picking up KFC on the way. Ive read all of the literature on why the consumption of KFC isnt good: Kiwi for Cruelty Kentucky Fried Cruelty PETA KFC Archives Yes, ALL, and feel very grotty when ever I indulge but…I like it and no amount of cussing myself for my failings has worked thus far. I will continue to try. KFC on Aucklands Quay St has great staff. I always leave with warm fuzzies having received a smile which would light up a black hole and a “have a good evening” sincere enough it almost guarantees you will. This particular visit I had one helluva brainwave. I always get an Ultimate 1/4 Pack, no upsize, regular chicken and pepsi, takeaway. The drinks are always curse but in all my years of purchasing drive through beverages it has NEVER occurred to me to ask them not to fill it up so much. Im stunned. What a concept. It was wonderful. An incident at KFC on Quay St highlights a particu...

Technology, wildlife and meet my Eels
2008-02-06 14:09:00
Returned from my occasional disappearing act. Was nice. A week spent North , primarily helping Nana learn the ins and outs of her CD player and repetitive lessons on how one retrieves their messages from telecoms message centre. We did shopping which included a new digital clock for beside her bed only to discover it didn’t work. I hate that and begrudgingly returned offending technological advancement to the store. Technology has advanced, it would seem, to digital clocks having dimmer dials which one is supposed to turn up if you want to see the “not working” display. Hmpf. I also got some gardening done. One of our wild ducks is still the proud Mum of 5 thriving cuties, no small feat when you’re in the real world. The half dozen young wild rabbits residing in Dads old vege patch look like they’ll also reach adult hood. What wont reach adult hood is the dozen eggs our daft chook has now sat on forever. Shes been clucky since I can remember which is fi...

Queenstown and thereabouts
2008-01-29 06:46:00
Theres been a bit of talk about Queenstown and surrounding neighbours over the past week, Te Anau included. Ive just remembered this Youtube clip I saved to my favourites awhile ago. Drive from Te Anau to Queenstown, New Zealand . Ive bopped along to it a few times since though not recommended to anyone who suffers motion sickness.
Courtship vs Flirtation
2008-01-28 14:41:00
I got halfway through a reply to Voyagers comment on Nicoles When did you Start? post, having given it thought first but, I now need to ask the question… Is Courtship and Flirtation the same thing? I started to say that I dont believe flirtation to be a lost art but that courtship is primarily, then I had to stop myself. Courtship conjures images of times past, the shy, virginial maid being charmed by her dashing suitor. Presumably a process which took time and careful planning. Is flirtation not merely the modern day version of this, obviously taking out the she = shy, he = admirer element? Evolution of gender expectations and the fact that everything moves at breakneck speed nowadays, could mean courtship can be re-classified….into flirting. I had a quote on my website back in the early days which I still think is gorgeous and Id hate to see the concept disappear forever. I wonder how many modern woman, or men, still dream of being courted in the fullest sense of the...

Honey, Im home!
2008-01-26 04:37:00
Literally…over 48 hours early. Need I say more? With 1x sufficient box of beers under my arm Im heading out shortly for an evening with Paul, if anyone can stop you from feeling sorry for yourself he can. I didnt get many of your requested pictures Chris but nice to get a taste of Queenstown. I dont know if its stunningly beautiful or extremely ugly. Definitely has some jaw dropping views but it felt quite barren to me. I loved the activity though, adrenalin sports in every direction! Blackspots imagination has been running away with itself, Ive had a week of celibacy (sorry, boring I know). With exception of the celibacy, no condolences required, I feel good I received an email this afternoon from an enquiring gent, “I have been reading your blog…I have this vague feeling that this contact may be intruding.” Absolutely not intruding , guaranteed x

Im going to Queenstown
2008-01-24 11:28:00
For those who arent up with the play please see here ». Queenstown Guy headed back there this morning, ill be on a flight tomorrow morning. Return to Auckland Monday (supposedly). Ive had a few “Hope you’re having fun” ’s the latest being from Nicole, ie: “Hope you’re having fun!!” “I don’t know that Id describe myself as having fun as such…though I have always liked roller coasters! I’m pretty much on one of those “ She came back with this stunning reply which Ive told her I will remember forever. Mh, then try to enjoy the times when it’s high in the air and you can see the whole world!! Maybe it parks up there for a while. Suffice to say various occurrences led to an email from QGuy this afternoon, among other things, regretting “not turning up on your doorstep this morning and dragging you on the plane with me.” Also included was a passage about “if there is a chance…&#...

Walking the plank in heeled boots
2008-01-24 08:51:00
Brunette Bombshell mentioned sea sickness in one of her recent blog posts which reminded me of a story. A booking. We’ll call this gent Mr Floyd. In his 50’s we met during my latter days at the parlour. It was around 3am, he came in happily drunk and was fun (no “cum in” jokes please Blackspot). He was pretty hooked on me by the end of that hour and tracked me down after I became independent. Mr Floyd was my first over night booking. His big voice caused me serious concerns with my hotel room neighbours as his stories went on into the wee hours. When he drinks he tells stories. One evening we set out from Westhaven Marina in his boat and anchored off some island, I dont remember which. As is his way it wasnt long before drinks were flowing. My glass of Cointreau and Baileys on ice was only empty for mere seconds when it was (regularly) and the stories and music got louder as the night progressed. Mr Floyd claimed you should always listen to Pink Floyd when y...

He cometh unto me...
2008-01-21 15:03:00
…and Im a bit… My friends know him as Queenstown Guy. Queenstown Guy was a booking 18 months ago. Visiting Auckland for the weekend he requested my company at the Hilton for 36 hours. A fantastic 36 hours. Mid 30’s, I cant remember exactly how old, we hit it off immediately. It’s a very rare day when you can comfortably shop for a top of the line (with digital display) electric toothbrush or ice crushing kitchen wizz with someone you’ve just met, let alone a man. We ate in and out, watched sport on TV and relaxed. He got under my skin…and I his….which presented a dilemma. Ive probably mentioned that Im a very content single. Committed, in fact, to singledom for some years yet. I have no room in my life for a man and not willing to give up what I enjoy about having nought but myself to answer to. Unfortunately its not that simple. We went separate ways when he was due to fly out but I knew I had a problem. I felt like Id met my near per...

Escorts Forum Board for the Girls
2008-01-21 02:50:00
Ladies, Nikon over at NZ Escorts Forum has set us up our own board. Ive been nominated as moderator and promise to do a good job . At the moment you need to create an account and be logged in to view it. Blokes can still read it but its intended for us to network, report bad experiences and post classifieds. Nikon has also recently set up a board specifically for advertising your services. Ive talked about Escort Forums, and pleased to say its going well. Incidentally, Nikon, now also known as Chris Symes, has just started up his own Photography Blog on this site. Awesome to have him on board.

The skirts dilemma
2008-01-16 16:00:00
Sometimes, when I look around me, it saddens me how many real women have forgotten how to embrace the joy of being a woman. Some women settle for jeans and a sloppy T-shirt but I would much rather wear a pretty skirt and top. Id like you to meet Kathryn Cleve. I discovered her blog 2 days ago and was drawn to her post titled Working Girl from which the above quote was taken (I didnt see the title of the post until after Id read it ). Awhile ago I mentioned to Voyager that I didnt feel very feminine. He looked at me like I’d gone mad and replied with something to effect of me being one of the most feminine woman he knows. Presumably this means there are different perceptions? It was around this time that I decided painting my toenails may help and asked James to do it for me . I loved them! Have grown out now so volunteers are welcome. This afternoon I arrived in gumboot territory (up North, will get pictures tomorrow) where heels just aren’t appropriate but, Kathry...

Just heels babe, 'tis all's required
2008-01-15 10:36:00
What do you prefer your Escort to bewearing when she greets you at the door? Ive wrapped up the above survey which has been running on Elite. Below are the options given, the figure beside is their percentage (%) of votes. Lingerie kicked bottom. Lingerie 36 Day Wear 20 Evening Wear 15 Nothing 9 Costume 6 Just Heels 6 Request 5 Other 2 Now tell me. What is the appeal of being greeted by the lady whos only in her lingerie, or less? 9% prefer no clothes at all, she’s starkas. Then theres “just heels". Is it to save time? You’re so horny that you know you just cant wait? You’ve only got an hour and taking time to undress isnt conducive to value for money? Or is it genuinely erotic, ie. something you’ve been wishing your wife would do for the past 20 years? None of the above? What about those who voted for your lady being fully dressed? The appeal of clothes? My own contact form on my website gives 2 options for attire. Dress up, ak...

The measure of success
2008-01-15 03:04:00
“There is nothing more genuine than breaking away from the chorus to learn the sound of your own voice.”Po Bronson Firstly apologies for being a bit scarce. Ive had too much going on in my head to make sense of any one thing enough to be able to write it…until this. Clarity is a treat. Im responding to Pauls post on modern day slaves and Blackspots recent comment. Over the years Ive given alot of thought to what success means to me. Ive needed to. I couldn’t choose, or justify, my preferred paths without knowing. Ive lived in the center of Aucklands CBD for nearly 2 years paying $355 a week rent. My apartment is minimally furnished but my things are nice and I enjoy them, quality over quantity. Water runs hot with high pressure, I dont hand wash dishes and barely cook. Theres no mud, rain is of no consequence. There is prestige attached to living in the city. The bach up above is in Mangawhai Heads. Antique 1950’s with large gaps between the top of ...

Edmund Hillary plus allsorts of nothing
2008-01-12 15:53:00
Ive had about half a dozen posts running around in my head the past 2 days but none of them made it to virtual paper. Its 3:51 am so just a few things before I head to bed: Sir Edmund Hillary ~ Thank you from me for everything, and for this quote, which finished me off this morning as I fought a lump in my throat for some time. It struck a chord: “In some ways I believe I epitomise the average New Zealander: I have modest abilities, I combine these with a good deal of determination, and I rather like to succeed.” Less interesting ~ Can anyone recommend an accountant in Auckland who, preferably, has a good understanding of Working Girls vs IRD? Im over doing my own books. Another request ~ Can someone please recommend a good restaurant near the Westin Hotel in Auckland’s Viaduct. Ideally walking distance. Last of all ~ Can everyone please go and flag this spammer blog as objectionable, they somehow hacked my Technorati account: freeringtonessentviat19680.blogsp...

Show your office
2008-01-10 06:06:00
The other day Nicole challenged everyone to show off their office, an idea she got from someone else. I promised to do so the day after tomorrow (ie. today) once Id done my housework. She called me a chicken but would have understood had she seen the state of it! I have a date tonight so housework was required . Yes, this is the table that was center stage in one unfortunate incident. In fact, the featured leg was the very one inadvertently “removed". Not a great pic but you get the gist. Hopefully my landlords dont see this, they believe Im a webdesigner!

Launched! My new photography blog
2008-01-08 05:43:00
Woohoo. Another job well done Sally. You will see a new link in my navigation bar above which reads Photography . Ive now got somewhere to post all of my photos. Not that Ive got alot to show you yet given the neglect my camera has suffered but I WILL, and its going to be fun. Id put off getting this Photography blog together undecided as to which domain I should attach it to or whether it should have its own entirely. Advantages and disadvantages to everything. Ive gone this way for now. Ill be posting decent sized images because photos look so much better when you can see them and I think our internet speeds are increasingly up to it. Along with launch of said blog today is the first of many for Daily Photo (inspired entirely by Nicole, thank you). The image just to the right should, all going to plan, change every day (that I do it). Click it . Ill be cheating a little by scrounging through archives occasionally (like today) but Im looking forward to pushing myself on this one...

"No one can say Im a homophobe...
2008-01-06 15:28:00
…because I support protection for potential gays in the womb” This was part of a comment here ~ 4 Reasons Homosexuality cannot be genetic ~ and has to be the most ludicrous statement Ive heard in sometime. The alternative is to suggest gays should be aborted. Champion. My reaction number one to this post. Number two. Why, why, why do people even need to prove, or not, that homosexuality is genetic? What in hell does it matter? “Genetic” would of course mean that said affliction couldn’t be cured, as apparently it has been 1000’s of times. What would be the reaction of religious groups if it was proven to be genetic? Not that they’d ever concede because there will always be documented “reliable” research to back whatever point serves their cause. I dont have an opinion either way because an opinion is all it will ever be and…who cares?! Reaction three. “His research, and that of some other Ph.Ds, is that childho...

Motueka, sky diving and heaven in a cast iron tub
2008-01-03 03:58:00
I flew to Nelson at 5pm on New Years eve. James had arranged 2 days accommodation in Motueka for us and collected me from the airport. Opting for a quiet night with our hosts and other guests, we left the group later and saw 2008 in under the stars. Just the two of us up to our necks in warm water and bubbles. Set well away from the buildings our outdoor claw foot bath had complete privacy and was heaven. Fireworks in the distance marked the moment. Precious. January 1st I was given a tour of Motueka. James knows it well. First stop was lunch in town with friends of his before having a go on The Flying Fox (pictures included). Kiwi ingenuity at it finest! You climb into a space shuttle, bullet type of thing then the operator (and inventor - I wanted to commend someone and he turned out to be just the man) starts up an old tractor which winches the bullet to the top of a hill. Then he lets it go. Speed exceeds 100km p/h and you’re stopped at the bottom by a pool of water. Ve...

2008, its gonna be great
2007-12-30 14:23:00
Orapiu Jetty, Waiheke Island : Photo by Evan New Zealand is 144 minutes into the final day of 2007. There’s something about seeing out an old year and beginning a new that has a tendency to find one reflecting. I dont know how Im feeling about it. Ive been working hard to tie up loose ends so 2008 could kick off with nothing in the road but Im not quite there and its irking me. I am looking forward to it. I always look forward to a new year. The same as the birth of a new day. Every morning I wake up anticipating, and excited about, what ill have achieved by the end of it. New things I may learn or friends I may make. Ive always loved it. A new year is exactly the same only bigger, potentially scary depending on what you have riding on it, and alot more to think about. Particularly when you dont feel like you have much to show for yourself from the previous. Since 18yo Ive lived a life that saw me in a position at the end of every year about as far removed from where I exp...

No sex tonight
2007-12-29 18:17:00
I found this at College Being blog. Comments say its been around for awhile. Brilliant! One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says “I don’t feel like it, I just want you to hold me.” I said “WHAT??!! What was that?!” So she says the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear… “You’re just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man.” She responded to my puzzled look by saying, “Can’t you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?” Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep. The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different ...

40 mistakes men make while having sex with women
2007-12-26 16:23:00
I saw this first years ago on Monalisa Models but have just rediscovered it at funnyheck.com. Thoroughly amusing but alot of truth! Enjoy. 1. Not kissing first. Avoiding her lips and diving straight for the erogenous zones makes her feel like you’re paying by the hour and trying to get your money’s worth by cutting out non-essentials. A proper passionate kiss is the ultimate form of foreplay. 2. Blowing too hard in her ear. Admit it, some kid at school told you girls love this. Well, there’s a difference between being erotic and blowing as if you’re trying to extinguish the candles on your 50th birthday cake. That hurts. 3. Not shaving. You often forget you have a porcupine strapped to your chin which you rake repeatedly across your partner’s face and thighs. When she turns her head from side to side, it’s not passion, it’s avoidance. 4. Squeezing her breast. Most men act like a housewife testing a melon for ripeness when they get ...
