Do You Like Wearing Bodystockings?
2008-05-24 04:56:00
Do you like wearing body stockings? I had one a long time ago when I was single. Well, it was more out of curiosity. I can't even remember how it felt wearing it but if I wear one now, it would probably feel funny. I have a mildly sensitive skin and I am very choosy with fabrics that I wear. If it's made of silk or really, really soft cotton I will probably be open to wearing one again.
Call From A Friend
2008-05-24 04:45:00
I received a call from a friend in Houston today. We haven't talked for a while so it was refreshing to hear from her again. She told me she just found a new job and she loves it! It's a company that sells medical equipment and medical id bracelets. Hmm, I thought that was interesting because a few months ago when I was contemplating to go back to work I applied for a position in a medical equipment company. I had to turn down the offer though. I decided staying home with my kids is way much better.

Who Looked Better?
2008-05-22 21:50:00
Who do you think looked better in this fashionable green maternity sundress? Jessica Alba (first) or Tori Spelling (second)?I think Jessical looked better in it, although Tori didn't look bad either.
Financial Advisor With Great Experience
2008-05-22 20:34:00
Who is George Divel? If you got some serious financial decisions to do and you don't know what to do or how to go about it, this guy is the one to call. His bio speaks for himself: he models his business after a model from an earlier time, when financial advisors had the time to get to know their clients and to make recommendations based not just on their immediate needs, but on their long-term financial and life goals.

"Oh, man!!!!"
2008-05-22 20:21:00
This is funny. Whenever Gabriel does something bad, I exclaim: "Oh, man! Why did you do that, baby?". He usually just runs away and pretends like it's not a big deal. Like the other day, he spilled half of my coffee (ground coffee in the can) and I was like, "Oh, man! Baby...that is not cool!". So yesterday my little one Jaden was playing with him in the living room and at one point Jaden got tired and started crying his fussy "I'm sleepy now, Mommy" cry and out of the blue, Gabriel must not liked his brother crying like he did, so he blurted out, looking directly at his little brother Jaden- "Oh, man!!!". LOL. It was sooooo cute I wished I had my video camera when he said it. That was the first time I heard him say that and it was just way too cute of him. :)

Patio Furniture
2008-05-21 00:55:00
While I was out with the kids today, we passed by a store that had teak patio furniture displayed by the store's entrance. I couldn't help myself from stopping and admiring the furniture display. It reminded me of the time when we had our first house in Houston and we had a patio furniture similar to it. Don't you wonder how some things you see around you can trigger some memory from your past? Hmm, I guess I was having a bit of a nostalgia then.

Today...
2008-05-21 00:28:00
I took out the kids to play at the mall playground today. I needed a little break from the housework and my little writing career (LOL). I also did a little shopping for them and bought a few summer shirts and shorts.Anyways, my kiddos had a good time. Gabriel wanted to get a cinnamon sugar Pretzel towards the end of our outing so I bought him one. As expected, he had sugar all over his face and shirt after consuming the whole pretzel. Good thing I always have my baby wipes with me wherever we go. They are really handy when you have little kids like I do.

Weight Thoughts
2008-05-20 04:10:00
So this week I re-started my cereal diet, in the hopes of losing a few more pounds. I think I feel and look a little better than the last few months. But I gotta do a lot more. I know getting into a regular workout right now is just too impossible. But I do still weigh myself from time to time. I use our bathroom scale whenver I remember to use it. Although I do need a new one- a digital weighing scale maybe. I saw some cool digital scales online that were really easy on the budget and look stylish. It's at ScalesEtc.com.

Acne Treatments
2008-05-20 03:35:00
So when you get acne, do you have trusted products you use all the time? Or do you switch products from time to time?I still get breakouts every now and then (especially when I stay up too late). I mean, I have products that I already use but sometimes I do like to try new products in the market. I know some people go have laser acne treatments and go to medical centers like this one in Lakeview, Chicago: Acne Chicago.

My Not-So-New Phone
2008-05-19 05:30:00
About two years ago, my techie nurse sister gave me this cool Nokia N90 phone. If you haven't seen this kind of phone before, it's got one of those 5 megapixels rotating video camera phones with lots of features that you don't find in regular Nokia phones. See the interactive demo for this phone from here: http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410923I probably used it for a couple months after she gave it to me but being the 'non-techie' that I am, I switched back to my good old basic Nokia phone- one that I was already familiar with using. Needless to say, I was intimidated using it that it sat in my desk drawer for more than a year. Recently, I thought about the poor phone and decided to use it again. But before I could use it again, I ran into a problem getting it to work. So I took it to my cellphone provider to have them see it to see what was wrong. I was worried the phone might have just totally given up for non-use. The girl told me it's probably just a matter of changing the batt...

How was your weekend?
2008-05-19 03:48:00
Mine was super-busy. We've been looking into putting up our house for sale and this weekend was just about packing things up and getting rid of some. I am soooo exhausted right now. Maybe tonight when the kids are asleep I'll have a soak in the tub. Aahhh...that would be a real treat!

Old And New
2008-05-17 08:00:00
I must have an eclectic style. Know why? There's a side of me that likes new, modern things- yet, when I visit antique shops I can't help but get fascinated with old things too. Like, I remember buying this old, beautiful picture frame in an antique shop in Austin, Texas a few years back during one of our visits there. I also just recently went to a vintage jewelry store that sells old, handcrafted jewelry and bought me a vintage silver torquoise ring.
DIY Home Projects On TV
2008-05-17 07:50:00
I was watching DIY Home on TV the other day and it was so inspiring how this one man did his own bathroom makeover. It's amazing how some people are so handy with things around the house and can do creative home projects in a jiff. His bathroom looked totally different and the new sconcelighting he chose to replace his old-fashioned light bulbs was just fabulous.

Travel Plans
2008-05-17 07:37:00
I am thinking of going home to visit my siblings in the Philippines for a few months some time this year. It is going to be a big expense so right now we're really into saving money and not spend too much on unnecessary things. I was even looking into getting a travel insurance plan because of this trip. But I don't think I will have the extra budget to buy one.

Father's Day Gift Ideas
2008-05-17 07:28:00
My girlfriend and I were talking over the phone earlier today and she was asking me if I already have a Father's Day gift for my husband. I told her I haven't even started thinking about it yet, much more getting the actual gift. We talked about so many things and ideas about what to give our husbands this Father's Day. Some items include a pair of shoes, jeans, a bathrobe, a grooming kit, even golf equipment- just because her husband is into golf.

Say "Thank You"!
2008-05-16 17:32:00
My toddler Gabriel really starts to talk a lot now. His speech therapist came by today and told me all the progress he's making. Anyways, here are some things he's really good at right now: he can say the alphabet from A to Z, count from 1 to 30, knows his basic shapes, basic colors, and can now say phrases like "socks and shoes" for when he wants to wear them, ask for "milk" when he wants it, or say "no" and "yes", "thank you" and "you're welcome", among others.Anyways, I read about an article about the importance of teaching your child to say "thank you". One of the many ways you can teach your child to say "thank you" is by integrating art with it and bring out your child's creativity- like drawing his favorite person on a card and spell the words "thank you" and give it to that favorite person afterwards. Gabriel loves to draw so this is such a great idea!Which also reminds me, now that I'm talking about saying "thank you", that I need to get some new "thank you cards". My ...
Find The Best Prices Of Gas Online
2008-05-16 17:24:00
We all worry about gas prices being so ridiculuosly high these days.According to an article on the Wall Street Journal Online :"Getting the best deal on gasoline used to be a matter of comparing prices posted at stations on opposite street corners. But with fuel taking a bigger bite out of budgets, some drivers are obsessed with finding the best possible price in a wider geographic area. And fueling that obsession is technology.Web sites that compare gas prices at different stations have been around for years, but the offerings are becoming more sophisticated. In addition to gas prices delivered to cellphones, some Web sites now offer fuel consumption calculators, scout out sources of alternative fuels and even explore mass-transit options".For website resources to find the best deal on gas prices, read more here:Services Help Drivers Find Cheapest Gas

Security Mirrors in Stores
2008-05-16 16:50:00
Have you seen those special type mirrors in stores? I was shopping abit yesterday and I was just thinking about it. I mean, don't they make you feel a little uncomfortable sometimes while you're shopping? It's like someone's always looking at you or something. Hmm, maybe it's just me. Just a thought. I just found out these types of mirrors are called convex mirrors.

Young Celebs on Drug Rehab
2008-05-16 00:50:00
Are you like me who's just amazed about how many young celebrities go on drug or alcohol rehab these days? I mean, you'll see it in the news on TV, on the Internet, I mean- everywhere. It's amazing how they were in rehab yesterday, then they're out today, then they try and be normal again- only to hear that they went back to old habits and they're back on rehab again. Is it just me who's alarmed by this?

Errands Day
2008-05-16 00:12:00
I got to do some errands today, so I am quite happy. I am also trying to clean out our closets, get rid of clothes that we don't wear anymore or things that are just junking the house. I did a little Ebaying and actually sold my first Ebay item- which was an unused baby outfit. I'm happy. I'm not a very Ebay-savvy person but I think I'm learning. I got way too much toys, clothes, and things that we really don't use anymore so today I went to the local consignment store and inquired about what things they will accept to consign. I might bring some of the nice things we have there. I'm sure somebody else could put them to good use. Some nice extra cash too, right? ;)
Home Insurance
2008-05-15 23:52:00
My husband told me yeterday that he ran into our neighbor who asked him about where to get a good home insurance coverage that's easy on the budget. He told our neighbor what insurance company we use. So far our home insurance policy is okay. We do need a new roof. Not that it's old but because of the recent storms that hit us, it might need looking into. So right now we're kind of looking into changing home insurance policy. These days, it's good that we could just go online and look at home insurance quotes to get a comparison of what's available out there now.One good online resource for home insurance is Home Insurance .com, so if you're like us and are looking into a good home insurance policy- check that site out.
Devastating Earthquake in China
2008-05-15 23:25:00
By now you may have already heard about the devastating earthquake that happened in China - so, so sad.According to a recent news on Yahoo:"The earthquake that struck Sichuan Province on Monday has so far claimed more than 19,000 lives across China, and thousands more people remain missing or trapped beneath rubble. But the awful scene at this local morgue is a sad reminder that too many of the dead are children in a country where most families are allowed to have only one".My prayers go out to all the families who are affected by this awful disaster.

A Vacation in New York?
2008-05-14 22:43:00
Hmm, I wish. I was just looking at old photographs from back in the year 2000 when my mom, a friend, and myself went to visit New York City for the first time. I loved it!It's a busy, fast-paced city with a lot to offer. I mean, who doesn't like to visit New York City! There are lots of Things to do in New York City but while we were there we made sure we visited popular spots like Manhattan, Central Park, and the mall strip where the famous and big Macy's store is- you know, the ones you see on TV where they have Christmas parades every year? Then we also went to see a couple of live broadway shows on stage in New York City- the famous "Jekyl and Hyde" and the "Les Miserable"- both were absolutely enjoyable. I even recognized a few famous actors on-screen that were in them. The names escape me right now. By the way, I've been wanting to go back to New York City to visit. In fact last Christmas, I told my husband it would be nice to have Christmas there. Only the kids were too ...
