How are you all, my blogging friends this Monday ?For me, today is a little slow. I woke up with a bad headache. I'm feeling better now though. (I'm sipping my coffee while I'm writing this entry). Thinking of Getting A New Cellphone

I definitely need a new cellphone. The one I have right now is one of those free cellphones you get when you sign up for a two-year plan. I don't use my cellphone a lot for casual calls, except for emergencies and business calls. I use it a lot on text messaging though, as my family and friends from the Philippines do text message me a lot- it's cheaper way to communicate (besides the email!). Anyways, I am looking into this site called BesinCellPhones.com. The site looks like a good place to shop around for new cool cellphones and plans and yes, they even offer free cell phones too..so I might be tempted to get that too.

Bananas In the Fireplace

So you're probably thinking.."What the heck is "Bananas in the Fireplace "? Well, I am talking about one of my toddler Gabriel's many mischiefs- which could be at times unnerving, sometimes funny, and sometimes it's so adorable that I just want to hug and kiss him! LOL. This one is definitely a classic and something that we'll reminisce about when he's a grown up. So this morning while preparing breakfast for him and his little brother, I was looking for bananas in the basket where I normally keep them on the kitchen counter, but I couldn't find them. I swear I wasn't dreaming when I put away a bunch of it last night from their daddy's groceries! Ugh. So I was looking for them in the pantry, in the refrigerator and finally I gave up. Helping Out A Friend

Yesterday morning, I received a call from my mom friend Judi asking me to help her out with watching her toddler while she takes her four month old son to the doctor. Her baby had some kind of rash around his genital area and I told her the day before that she needs to take him to the doctor just to be sure. So I guess she took the advice and went and made an appointment.Anyways, it was a really nice afternoon yesterday at my friend's place- got to see her and her kids and I got to have some adobo for lunch with her- a famous Filipino dish made with a lot of garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, bay leaf, and pepper...Mmmm..yumm! My kids had a nice time playing with Judi's kids too- we messed up her house by the time we left. But sure it made me happy that I'm able to help a friend out- and got to spend time outside and have some real adult conversation- something I don't get to have a lot being a stay at home mom. LOL.

I wanted to take my toddler Gabriel for a haircut but it looks like we might just have to do it tomorrow. I got a few errands to do so I will just do it tomorrow when my kitchen look a lot cleaner and organized than how it is right now. I don't have a lot of knowledge on cable and electronic stuff, so when my toddler pulled one of our cable wires from the back of our big tv in the master bedroom, I panicked. But my husband said it's fine and should just need new wiring. HDPE Scrap?

What is HDPE? It is short for High Density Poly Ethylene- a form of recyclable plastic commonly used in consumer product manufacturing for snack food packaging and cereal box liners. In blow molded HDPE form it is used for non carbonated drink bottles. In injection molded form, it is mostly used for margarine tubs, deli food and whipped toppings. In actuality, Scrap HDPE is recyclable waste consisting of only High Density Polyethylene and comes in all sorts of shapes, forms and colors. Sopapilla Cheesecake

One of my co-workers from my last job made this on one of our company parties and it was so yummy I just had to share! These sweeties puff like sopapillas and are great for breakfast or as a change from coffeecake! Cinnamon sugar can be made by combining 1 cup sugar to 2 TBS cinnamon.List of Ingredients2 (8 ounces) packages cream cheese 2 packages refrigerated crescent dinner rolls 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or almond extract 1/2 cup margarine or butter, melted 1/2 cup cinnamon sugar Recipe1. Using a 9 x 13 baking pan, unroll one package of refrigerated crescent rolls and line the bottom of the pan. 2. Flatten. 3. Mix together the cream cheese, sugar and extract. 4. Spread over the crescent rolls. 5. Unroll the other can of crescent rolls and place on top of cream cheese mixture. 6. Pour one stick of melted butter or margarine over the top and sprinkle with about 1/2 cup of the cinnamon sugar mixture. 7. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
