I Love Oysters!

I am a lover of seafood and one of my favorites are oysters. I literally grew up with oysters. Back home in the Philippines when I was little, my family used to have a fishing business so we have all kinds of fish and seafood available all the time. I love shrimp and oysters the most. My mother used to cook oysters with lots of garlic and some type of vinegar sauce to go with it. Mmmm..yummy!By the way, I stumbled upon this website called BeOysterAware.com. My Dream Spain Getaway!

Even as a child, I've always dreamed of visiting Spain . Now that I'm a grown up, I want to make this dream happen! So I checked out this Mediterranean Property Portal called MedHead.com and found this beautiful beach front rental property in Granada, Spain. It is a beautiful apartment complete with amenities such as a living room, dining area, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and has a breathtaking view of the ocean. They have a vast list of rental and for sale properties not only in Spain, but also n France, Italy, and Cyprus. I even checked out this other Italian property listing they have that also caught my interest. Hmmm, Italy is another dream country to visit someday.

I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of American Idol. My eyes and ears are glued to the tv screen whenever the show comes on. I love singing. Perhaps, it is one of the few regrets in my life is why I didn't become a professional singer. LOL, just kidding. Some of you may not know that I'm 100% Filipino (although I'm already an American citizen). So everytime a Filipino talent gets recognized here in America, I am going to talk about it. Anways, on Season 3, Jasmine Trias, a Filipino-American from Hawaii made it to the Top 3. Now another Fil-Am talent named Ramiele Malubay, featured here in this video, made it to the Top 24! Yayyy!! My friend's dad was talking about getting a life insurance settlement. I never understood what life insurance settlements are. I read about it, and basically it is the sale of a life insurance policy covering a person who has a limited life expectancy -- generally 20 years or less and said to mostly benefit seniors when they want to be paid a lump sum in cash.

My baby is getting to be a year old!

Wow, I can't believe he is getting to be one year old. Yes, on March 2nd my baby Jaden is going to be a year old. Right now, he's showing signs that he might be an early talker, unlike his big brother. He babbles a lot, laughs a lot, and is very easy to please. People always comment on how he hardly fusses or cries. As long as he's fed and his bottom is dry and clean, he's good to go. It's funny whenever his brother plays around him, he just likes to watch what his brother's doing and starts making happy noises--like he's saying, "I want to play with you, Gabriel". Whenever I change his diaper, he starts kicking his feet and getting so excited. I think generally, he loves the interaction with people. Like if you start talking to him, he'll instantly have this big bright smile telling you that he's happy. I think he's going to be a very active little boy too, just like his brother. Every now and then I still get bouts of adult acne on my face. It's not severe or serious, but because I have a slightly oily skin I tend to get breakouts like this. These last few nights I haven't been slepping well either and it's not helping with the breakouts. It's almost March but the weather here is still cold. Today I had to use our electric room heater in the master bedroom where we all sleep. I think I may have to switch to a gas room heater though. If you all ask me, dear hubby just left this morning for an out-of-town work travel and won't be back 'til tomorrow. But, this coming Saturday night we're having a nice Coupes Night Out date with some friends from the moms group so that should be exciting! :)Today will be all about spending time with my kids. Remembering San Francisco

During our honeymoon in Las Vegas in late 2003, my husband made a two-day stop in San Francisco . I've always wanted to see the famous long bridge there and tour the main strip of the city even for a bit.There were lots of things to do in San Francisco. We enjoyed wandering around the city, taking lots of interesting sights, stopping and dining at The Fisherman's Wharf. It was already late November so it was a bit chilly but we didn't mind it. I wished we could have stayed longer though.So now that we have kids, we don't travel as much anymore as we used to. But we plan to go somewhere Midwest. I've always been fascinated by those tall, graceful-looking lighthouses even as a little child.
