Home Alone and the Party Begins
2007-11-07 15:28:00 Well, well, well. Will these kids ever learn? I had a bit of shocking news last week. I got home to have a parent in our development come over to tell me that she came home from work early to find out that her twins boys and all the other kids in our neighborhood were all at my house today having a good ole' time. My youngest daughter goes to the neighborhood school, so she gets on the school bus on her own in the morning and comes home on her own in the afternoon. Now, of course we set rules and guidelines, but somewhere along the line, my child thought she could turn our home into the party house and no one would be the wiser. Come to find there were about 15 kids in my house, more specifically IN MY ROOM, watching movies. Needless to say, she got in BIG trouble for this.Note to self: Must go threaten all the GD kids in the neighborhood about partying in my house when I am not there. Who Used All the Darn Shower Gel ????
2007-11-05 18:05:00 In my life, I have very few guilty pleasures. The ones I do have, let no man, woman or child screw with them. One being my freakin' SHOWER GEL. I love to indulge in buying all kinds of smell good, skin softening shower gels. It makes me feel pretty and all lady like (gush gush). So, I just got this fabuoous shower gel made by Caress. It's an cream oil shower gel called Japanese exotic oil Infusions and it feels so good on your body and the scent is almost hypnotic.I go to take a shower and I can't wait to use this shower gel and I go to pour some on my scrubby hickamado and the bottle is damn near empty!!! This is outrage I tell you, OUTRAGE!!!!! I have 2 girls and they automatically think that whatever beauty products I have is also for their consumption. But oh ho ho, they are sadly mistaken. So, the girls and I had to have a little chat about them keeping their paws off of mommies scared products : )I know some of my moms out there can relate. What are some of your guilty pleas... TSP Show #1 - Are You a Taxi Driver for Your Kids?
2007-11-04 20:30:00 Welcome to the very first episode of Tales of a Single Parent. One thing many single parents wish they could do is clone themselves. We are always running our children around from one activity to the next and often times our kids activities conflict with one another AND we certainly cannot be in two places at the same time. So, I always find myself outside waiting in my car for one of my kids to come out from their activity to get in the car and go home. JUST LIKE A TAXI DRIVER. The one downside is, these GD kids don't have to pay a taxi fare! What's up with that???? You Never Stop Going to the ER With Your Kids
2007-10-28 18:08:00 A couple of weeks ago I got a call from my 14 year old daughters school. They claimed she was having severe pains on her left side and that they had called for an ambulance. Well, in my mind I immediately went in to panic mode. Back in 2003, my daughter has some cysts and her left ovary removed, so I thought that maybe some cysts had grown back and that was why she was experiencing so much pain.Well, I got to the hospital, they took a urine and blood sample and a couple hours later, she had an ultrasound. Thankfully, all tests and ultrasound came back clean. They diagnosed her with premenstrual syndrome and recommended I take her to a specialist to see if she has endometriosis. We always think of PMS as having mild cramps, bloating and moodiness, but my daughter was in so much pain she could not move. I had no idea it could be so severe. So, we'll be going to the gynecologists to see about this endometriosis issue and hope for the best. So, although my kids are older, you really nev... More About: Kids , Stop , Going , With You , Goin
