Looking Back On My First 499 Posts
2008-03-03 01:10:00 Well folks, this is my 500th blog entry. Yes the big 5-0-0, so I figured it was a good opportunity to reflect on my first 499 posts and take a look back. This blog started as a quick way to get up some pictures from my Halloween party on 10/22/2007. Over the last 132 days it has involved into something more than just party photos. For those not so quick with division, that is an average of 3.79 posts per day, which is sort of scary when I think about it. Some thoughts as to why I blog:My blog is a living diary mine and Dale's life (which does not always please Dale). My blog is a place I post things I come across on the interweb (as my friend Becki calls it). My blog is a bit of my own therapy as it allows me to get my feelings, thoughts and inner voices out to the world.I now average anywhere between 50 and 100 visitors per day, which always amazes me because quite honestly I do not even find myself that interesting, but for some reason people seem to keep coming back. Maybe my blo... More About: Back , Posts , Looking Back

What's On Your iPod?
2008-02-05 03:30:00 I am a lover of music.I cannot live without my iPod. It is amazing how this invention has changed my life. I always listened to a lot of music, but now I listen to music more often and usually on shuffle...so I get to experience a lot of my music that I normally wouldn't pick if I had to pull a CD from the shelf.I started copying all the songs I liked from my CDs on 1/1/2006 (I got an iPod for Christmas a few days before). I now have just under 5,000 songs in my iTunes library.I thought it would be fun to share the songs that have been played the most on my iPod by genre in case anyone wonders what I like (I doubt you do) or in case anyone is looking for new music to download. Shockingly no Cher, Madonna, Olivia Newton-John or Bette Midler made the list (I really need to work on being a better gay).Broadway - Shut up; I am gay, of course there is a Broadway category.Seasons Of Love from Rent by the Original Broadway Cast (53 plays since 11/26/2006)Totally F****d from Spring Awakeni... Online Moved Offline When I Met Kath Today
2008-02-04 04:12:00 Today Dale and I got to meet one of my "online friends" named Kath. She is someone I have mentioned before on my blog as she is a frequent reader and commenter (two qualities I love about her). I also read her blog and follow her on Twitter so we have become what Dale calls "online friends."Anyhow, we were in Flatirons Mall this morning to see a movie and we knew she worked in the mall for her second job, (which she refers to as job #2) so we stopped and paid her a quick visit. We went into the store, she immediately recognized us, ran over and gave us both hugs. It felt like we had known her for years. From reading her blog, tweets and our on-line exchanges, I have grown to know, respect and genuinely like Kath, her thoughts and views. Today, meeting her proved that to me as she was sweet, genuine and full of life.Kath - you were everything I expected and I am glad we finally got to meet. It made my whole day. You were all smiles (which I loved). I look forward to meeting ... More About: Offline , Today , Online
10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work & Team with Positive Energy - Worth th
2008-02-04 03:39:00 As some of you know from an earlier post last month, I have been reading Jon Gordon's book Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life , Work and Team with Positive Energy . The book was actually good and I just happened to come across it at the public library while looking for a different book. The title caught my attention and I decided to give it a try.The book presents its message using a bus as the analogy. I recommend this book for anyone who is looking to drive positive energy into their work life. I finished the book over a week ago and I am just finally getting around to blogging about it, but I have already been following some of the message in the book. Here are the 10 principles of the book in my own words, as I feel it is important you just don't follow someone else's advice, but turn it into something that has meaning for you. So here are my 10 Principles to a Positive Work & Personal Life:1. You control your own life.2. Desire, vision and focus will move your life in ...

God Bless the Broken Road
2008-02-04 02:55:00 I always seem to be drawn to pictures of roads. I am not 100% sure why, but I like what a road represents - opportunity, new adventures and in many cases a way back home. To me there is nothing more enjoyable that a summer day, good tunes on the radio and an open road to drive with no particular destination. That is where I truly find a sense of peace. These three are beautiful for different reasons, but beautiful none-the-less.OnliestWinter Morning Upstate NYThe Way Home More About: Road , Broken , God Bless
'Til Death Due Us Part?
2008-02-04 02:51:00 In this case it seems like even in death they need to be together. I find it romantic in a way, even though my mind knows it is just the ground shifting or vandals, but in my heart, I see it as sort of sweet. A great photo titled death won't keep us apart.... Question: Who Wants To Be Dale & Tom?
2008-02-04 01:07:00 Answer: Our friends Matt & Michelle. They even provided photographic proof from their trip to Hawaii on how they are stalking Dale and I. You would think we went on vacation together, but these photos are from a year apart. Creepy, huh?Dale spells I Love You in rocks. Matt spells I love you in rocks. Water splashes and startles Tom. Water splashes and startles Michelle. Dale & Tom pose while horseback riding. Matt & Michelle pose while horseback riding. Dale & Tom pose while leaning against a railing. Matt & Michelle post while leaning against a railing.Dale & Tom in front of the ocean. Matt & Michelle in front of the ocean.Dale & Tom take a break on the rocks. Matt & Michelle take a break on the rocks.Okay, so you are convinced right? Matt & Michelle are totally insane and stalking Dale and I. I have locked up the pets and checked all the doors four times now.Now I must be honest. They are not stalking us, but they are insane. Insanely funny... More About: Question
Untraceable - Worth Seeing
2008-02-04 00:54:00 I saw the movie Untraceable with Dale today. The movie was good and very realistic. Almost too realistic. I would definitely say it was worth the watch, but no the type of movie you watch over and over. The movie reminded me a of Copy Cat with Holly Hunter and Sigorney Weaver in filming style and the fact that it featured a strong, but slightly flawed female lead character. It also has the best male buddy character. So if you liked that movie, you will most likely enjoy this movie too. More About: Worth
What Does Superbowl Sunday Mean to Dale and I?
2008-02-03 16:39:00 A trip to the movies! Which is great, since it will most likely be empty. Last year, we had the theater to ourselves. The Superbowl , with the exception of enjoying the over-priced commercials, is no thrill for us (and yes, I do take it and fast forward to the commercials). We are not football guys.So we are off to the movies to see Untraceable. I will let you now what I think. More About: Sunday , Dale
Update on Resolutions: 1 Months Down; 11 To Go
2008-02-03 16:09:00 Since January has come and gone, so I thought it would be good to update everyone as to where I am with my resolutions. I decided to score myself on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being no resolution success and 10 for fully meeting goal success. When I do an average of each ranking below, I come in at 5.5 out of 10. That is not what I hoped, but above 50%; besides it is only one-month. I will get there. Here is where I stand:1. I will commit to trying my best to be healthier. Update : 3 out of 10; Dale and I started strong, but again got busy and let our busy lives derail us. We are planning to start again today with a focus on eating smaller portions more often and exercise at least 4 times weekly.2. I will commit to not letting anyone bring negativity into my life. Update: 6 out of 10; I feel I am doing well with this overall. I even read a great book, Energy Bus on this subject.3. I will commit to telling Dale that I love him every day. Update: 10 out of 10; I did this every day. It is... More About: Months , Resolutions
When Harry Met Sally...
2008-02-03 14:57:00 I had a request a few weeks back to blog about how Dale and I met. So I decided to go with a When Harry Met Sally theme (isn't the poster great). Since I am on the left of the poster I that makes me Harry and Dale would be Sally. I know fitting, isn't it?When asked how we met, I usually give me response prison because I think it makes a nice visual for people, but sadly it is not true. I think two men meeting in prison would make a great movie of the week and I think Mario Lopez and Mark-Paul Gosselaar (they played Zach and Slater on Saved by the Bell) would be perfect for the leading roles. Firstly, they are likely to star in a movie of the week based on the level of their career and secondly, they would be fun to watch with no shirts. I digress.Okay, how did Dale and I met, right? Here goes:1977. Tom Whittaker and Dale Gloude share a long car ride from the University of Chicago to their new, post graduation lives in NYC. En route, they discuss whether two men can be friends, wit...
Lost - Season 3. More Mystery; Few Answers...But I Still Love It
2008-02-03 05:26:00 I watched Lost on DVR today. 3 episodes - Season 2 finale, the series re-cap and Season 3 premiere. The good: I got to watch Charlie die three time! Yes, I never liked Charlie, sorry. I had seen the finale last year and the flash-forward blew me away. I like the series re-cap a lot. It was nice to have everything summed up by character. Made me remember why I love this show. The bad: Again, in the season 3 premiere more mystery and no answers. We now know 6 make it off the island one day, but what happens to the other. We know Jack, Kate and Hurley make it back home, but who are the other 3. Is Kate with Sawyer? Why do Jack and Hurley both think they should have stayed on the island? Who are the people on the boat? Who are the Others really? What is that damn island? Made me remember why the show frustrates the hell out of me.The ugly: There really is not any. Everyone is still hot as hell considering they have been in a plane crash, lives on an island, been shot at, blown up a few ti... More About: Love , Love it , Answers
Can You Feel The Love Tonight?
2008-02-03 05:10:00 With Valentine's Day approaching, I figured I would set the mood with some thoughts of love.
