Around Wednesday last week I found myself with nothing to do and I was bored shitless. I tided up my room to find a leather case that has all of my Playstation games. I figured since I was bored and desperate enough for a mediocre amount of a fun that I would play some of the games. I don’t have a Playstation anymore so I build image files (ISO’s) files and play the game using an emulator. Emulators are nifty little tools used to play the games of the past (no matter how far) on the computer and they are quite useful. One of the games that always just stood out to me when I was a child was Tomba. It is really hard to describe Tomba but it is one of the greatest games that I have ever played. I am just too surprised; as I write this post we are 65 hours into February. I have already beat and exceeded the monthly viewing record by 3 times. There have been at least 6,000 page views in the last 65 hours. I am really glad for this. I would like to thank all of the users that are making this website grow and making it grow quickly. Without the support of readers to subscribe to the RSS feed and thumbs up on posts I wouldn’t I have gotten near that attention I have been getting these last three days. I plan to still do my best as I am blogging and this situation has even inspired me to write even more blogs because there is support out there! Anyway, I won’t take up much of your time because I know most of you are watching the super bowl. If you’re not watching the super bowl you are at least watching the wonderful commercials. Some of the popular proverbs in English are “When the cat is away, the mice will play.” (which basically means, when the big man is gone everything changes.) and “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” (if you don’t try something you will be able to learn a lesson.) Flying Without Wings was one of the first poems that I ever wrote and it is said to be one of the best ones I ever wrote too. If you are a regular reader of my blog chances are that you have already seen this poem. I don’t have anything to blog about for today so I am going to post some of the old work that got loss in the server failure (that I did manage to have.) One of the big things when I wrote this poem was the imagery. I was trying to make poems of just random scenes and setting and make the imagery and flow as good as possible. A flight, against the pull of gravity. Waiting to pull me to the ground. Which creates an illusion of me, Speeding through time.
