Is it love?
2008-03-08 09:25:00
OK, I've thought long and hard about doing this post, about whether I can bear my soul like this, if I want what is my most inner most feelings posted on the web for the world and his dog to read. I've even debated if I even wanted to write it down, but, I suppose I want this new incarnation of my blog to be a truly open and heartfelt disclosure of my life, my dreams, my desires, my feelings, so hey, this is how I'm feeling, so here it is, confession time!I have something to get off my chest, however, I start with a question, is it possible to fall in love with someone you've never actually physically met?Is such an emotion possible having never gazed up their flesh with lustful eyes in the same room or from afar? Is it possible to hear their words when those words are not spoken aloud? Is it it possible to love someone you've never met?A few weeks passed I embarked on what has recently become my most recent addiction, my current obsession, my major taker of time. I'm not real...

The two David's!
2008-03-07 12:13:00
I walked out and along the beach yesterday and as the waves rolled to shore, I said my prayers to a god I don't believe in to thank him / her for letting me live in a place like this. I did have the crazy notion of walking into the sea, but then my iPod would have got wet and Dolly wouldn't be singing in my lughole anymore - such things would never do!So with the tang of salt on my lips I stalked over the pebbles and back in the homeward direction, upon reaching the busy cosmopolitan St James Street I bumped into David B just coming out of the Prowler store. He looked a little embarrassed clutching his carrier bag, but I promised I wouldn't tell anyone about his new collection of porn, so then we headed off for a brief walk and a pint in one of the few straight pubs in this area, the St James! We nattered a bit about his new found single life, he's instantly found a little studio flat in the upper reaches of Kemptown, which is so nice for him and slowly he's coming back out to ...
Questions...life is all about questions!
2008-03-05 21:58:00
Questions, questions questions, that's all my life seems to be about these days, one question after another. What time we meeting? When are we going to get together? What time do you have to work? Can you help me with my assignment? Can you write me a speech? Can I have your number? What are you doing? Isn't it time you finally grew up? So many questions and so little time, so hey, perhaps now is the right moment for some answers.01 Do you ever wonder what your last ex is up to?I sometimes wonder what all my ex's are doing, even the one that stole my heart and sent it back in a box marked 'trash'02 Have you ever been given roses ?Yes, well a single red one, a Three Bridges station, I was so touched, I ended up at Euston to kiss him goodbye!03 Favourite romantic movie?Oh god, do I have to say? It sounds so trailer trashy to say Pretty Woman, but I can watch it over and over and over again. Perhaps having been a whore in my time, I identify with it and perhaps I'm still waiting ...

2008-03-04 22:27:00
A weekend of confusion and of contradictions, but hey what else is new? That's my life, my world and as it happens that way every sodding day for me, so I'd just better get used to it. I arranged to met James and Ian in Dr Brighton's at 10.30 Sunday night for a jar before Wild Fruit ing it, they passed the threshold of the boozer just after 11pm! Hum, only 30 of your earth minutes late, but hey maybe they were working to Scottish time! Tru is the venue of Wild Fruit, so that's where we headed, for it would have been silly to go anywhere else. I'm not sure I like the refurb of the place, it's well just a little erm scuzzy, ok so it's a straight club most of the time, apart from the Wild Fruit nights, which I suppose is why all the glasses are plastic as are the bottles of drink, beer and the like. Also, there is no draught larger, just bottles of Beck's, a beer I used to like, but stopped drinking after they pulled their sponsorship of Queer As Folk on TV becau...

2008-03-02 16:49:00
La Dolce Vita, made nearly ten years before I popped into the world, yet Frederico Fellini's most famous and perhaps best film, still has relevance today. In fact it's probably more relevant now in today's celebrity obsessed media frenzied world of which we are all part of. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the film last night, OK, so I have a thing for foreign language films, they just appeal to me. Perhaps it's the chance to view a different slice of life, see things from a different perspective, a different view of life with different goals, ideas, beliefs and standards. Or perhaps it makes me feel more intellectual than I am and thus boosting my fragile ego. It could even be that I like to completely switch off from the real world when I watch a move, and having to either understand a language other than my own, or read subtitles ensures that happens. Whatever the reason, I loved the film, it is a masterpiece, I was however a little surprised that Jakey suggested and bou...

Lunchtime drinking!
2008-03-01 18:37:00
Drinking at lunchtime, it's kinda fatal really isn't it? OK, so its the weekend, which makes it an exception, but it's still rather naughty. I woke at 10am, after a late night cam to cam wank with a supposedly straight - bi curious boy I met on one of those dating come chat sites that are everywhere on the net. It was quite regarding, well as much as cam sex can possibly be, marginally better than a solo wank, but nowhere near as good as some proper sex, mind you the last proper sex I had ended up with a dose of the sideways walking visitors infesting my lower portions! At least cam 2 cam sex, doesn't put you at risk of sexually transmitted infections, no mater how solitary it is.I'm not really convinced with all this bisexuality and bi-curious business, which seems to be all the rage these days, it appears that around 70% of boys these days are saying their either bisexual or a little bit bi-curious, apparently it's modern and thus trendy and thus popular. I guess I shouldn'...

2008-02-29 23:06:00
Cloud and rain have been the trademark of this day, but the weather has not spoilt my mood, I've been a happy soul today. It's been chilled and relaxing, I think mainly due to the fact that I finished work just a little after half one, more normal than the long nights I normally do and I feel a lot better for it. It's strange, even though I've had nothing much to do, I seem to have filled my time actively, caught up on my correspondence, done some ironing, re-ordered my underwear draw, watched a couple of movies, spoken to a couple of friends and remembered to order flowers for the old dear that is 'the mother' for mothers day on Sunday! The main news of the day, apart from that little earthquake, which happened up north, so not really worth talking about, is Prince Harry ! Prince Harry is to be pulled out "immediately" from Afghanistan after a news blackout on his deployment broke down, the Ministry of Defence confirmed today. The 23 year-old is 10 weeks into a 14-week tour but...

Working nights is pretty strange, it take a rare bred of person to choose to function in the middle of the night, I know, I've done of for two years now, or very nearly. And, it takes a lot out of you, especially working 12 hours shifts as I do, that sometimes it's hard to understand just what the hell I'm doing! Last night was a classic example of night numbness, it got to about 4am and I had work to do, but, my mind just went completely blank, I had no knowledge of even the simplest of work functions, things that I've done thousands of times, their method just escaped me. For a few moments it was as if I were completely brain dead, the cursor blinked on the computer screen and I knew not what it was there for, nor how to make it move. Is this normal? Or is this another sign that I'm loosing my mind?Poor Kelly's woes continue, pretty much as I was writing the last post about her and her internet boyfriend disappointments, the poor girl's pain increased, a horrendous bout of ...

Sometimes I forget I'm my age! There are times, when I think I'm still that young, dumb, innocent 19 year old running around, enjoying everything that life throws at me with the wide-eyed wonder that youth has, seeing things through eyes for the very first time, everything new again. However there other's when I feel my age, painfully clearly, take yesterday for example. I woke with promise and joy, the weather was nice and bright and the sun almost blossomed in the sky, so I decided I would walk to the marina and pick up a new kettle, as mine inexplicably blew up the other day. So I picked up my backpack, keys, iPod and headed out the door, with a spring in my step and a song in my heart. I love my little iPod and I had the tunes blasting my lug holes as I trotted my way along Edward Street, up passed the hospital and through the upper reaches of Kemptown. It was then that I realised two things, A) I had odd socks on and B) My wallet was still on the computer desk. I laughed at ...

Without much of a doubt, a long time has passed since my fingers caressed the keys to create any update here, or anywhere else on the net. I've had my reasons, time management issues, connectivity disruptions, newsworthy disturbance, mood status imbalance all play there part so one should not subscribe all the blame to one individual aspect or excuse! It's done, it's gone and now I'm back, so sorry, apologies and all that, but hey the future is at my fingertips once again, so come with me and enjoy the ride.So what has been happening in the world since we last shared the same atom of web space and time? Well, the world of book publication is set to change with the introduction of the eBook, an electronic version of the old trusty paperback, it looks sleek in the designs I've seen on the net and I want one, if only purely for the pose and novelty factors. Kosovo has claimed Independence. A batlike spy plane crashed in Guam. Northern Rock has been taken over by the state. Earth n...

Carrot's ?
2008-01-29 14:19:00
Never underestimate the power of the internet to encourage people to be completely stupid, I’m not talking of the ‘Jackass’ type stunt sites, which are both hilarious and dangerous in equal measures. Nor the various dare sites, which seem to be just an extension of playground games of our youth. No I’m talking about the reputable social networking site Facebook, or a rather a group on the said Facebook. It appears that this coming June the world is going to run short of …………… carrots! Tens of thousands of people all over the world are planning to "panic-buy" carrots as part of a campaign that started as a joke on the social networking site. The strange but true fact of this story is that already this group thatis planning on to panic buy carrots already has over 91,000 members. Members of the group are encouraged to go out at 2pm on 15 May and buy as many carrots as humanly possible! An opposing Facebook group "Don't add to world hunger, don't panic-buy carrots" ...

If you go done to the beach today, you better be in for a surprise! Well, actually it was last week, but whats a few days between friends? There was loads of wood washed up on the shore from the sunken ship that lost it's load of timber. As fare as the eye could see all the way along the beach at the high tide line there were planks a plenty. It was quite an odd sight and prompted a few jokes about getting wood on the beach and other silly oaks about planks and pineing for a forest and all that, but it was something to talk about during the quiet and boring month that is and always will be January. Oh how I hate this month of the year, it's always when I get most depressed, down and introverted. Yes, that could very well be why I've taken a little break from the blog as well as pretty much everything else, but hey, the month is almost over and so my spirits are lifted. Perhaps that could be something to do with the fact that payday is just a few days away! So here we are, back an...

The wind was up and the sea was rough when I woke this morning, I pottered into the lounge and peered through the window, the grey skies cast such a doomy shadow over the sea's rough white water waves and I shivered. It was like a scene from a classic horror movie and I could almost hear 'Ride of the Valkyries' booming in my head as I gazed out and the wintery world. 'This wont do' I said to myself after a full quarter of an hour scanning the sea and those never ending rough waves battering the shore, so I jumped up and into the shower. I love days when there's nothing planned and the world is your knapsack so you can do anything and nothing at the same time. I was going to go shopping, but hey, it's January and money is in short supply. It's a long sodding month, and I've always wondered why there was so much month left at the end of the money, it's been 4 weeks since last pay day and we still have a few more to go till the next one, so the word skint, is taking on an epi...

I was over in Portslade the other day to see my brother, you know the one the had the fight and now has to go to court, yes, the one that's ten years my senior. Anway, on the way back I took the No1 bus and it started to fill up, this old old wobbly lady got on, I look as she managed to navigate a screaming brat and a fat mother blocking the aisle with her three wheeled buggy then I looked u the other way and not one of the younsters got up, even the ones in the priority seats for the elderly and disabled. So, without thinking, I jumped up and gave her my seat, which she was truely thankful for, however it meant that I had to stand next to the screaming brat! Obviously the iPod volume was turned up a notch or two to counteract the childs whailing and I was left with a warm fuzzy feeling inside. A few stops down the road and people got off so I took one of the vacent seats and rested my metal leg. I would have been content to stare out the widow with Justin Trousersnake blasting in ...

It's fashionable to be green at the moment, nope I don't mean we're all taking after Elphaba, the not so wicked witch of the west from Wicked and having green faces, I'm talking about being environmentally sound. Yes, there's hardly a day when the top news story isn't in some way connected to the green issues of the day, environmentally friendly this, that and the other. Hopefully, it will go on being fashionable, after all we've only got one planet, one world and it's a bit of a shame to treat it in the careless and damaging way our forbears have done. After all, if we look at it in a slightly different and perhaps more creative way, it may make a little more impact. Don't worry, I'm not going to whitter on and on forever! If the Earth were only a few feet in diameter, floating above a field somewhere, people would come from everywhere to marvel at it. People would walk around it, marvelling at it's big pools of water, it's little pools and the water flowing between the ...

It's been a rather pleasant day down here in the gaytropolis that is Brighton, the land was bathed in the bright watery sunshine of winter, there was a misty blue/grey haze over the sea and my head was clear and fuzz free, which is a welcome surprise. I had a couple of pints with Jake and DB last night in the pub up the road, which despite me having been there four times, I can still never remember the name of the darn thing. Anyway, DB told of his holiday and laying in the sun, Jake talked about the incredible and passion fueled sex he's been having with the new house mate, hitherto known as 'Eyor' on account of his allegedly unfeasibly large manhood! Apparently his todger is on the rather long side, but more than just the length of the man sausage, it's also a wide load, which makes the bottom business rather more the the former side of the pain and pleasure measure. Not, that our Jakey is complaining, oh no, he's revelling in the fact that he's now got a hot source of ramp...

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse at night, it did, the first night of the shit, there was just two of us, trying to keep our heads floating above the cesspool that it work. We managed just, but the next night my co-worked called in sick, because 'it was too busy' Anyway, it's just been one thing after another after another and I really feel that the time has come to make a move, god knows my body is crying out for it. Last night however, work was the last thing on my mind, I'd finished work at 8am, had a sleep for an hour and a doze and potter I jumped in the bathroom for a long refreshing shower I headed up to town. Nope not Brighton town but London town, and I wasn't going to see the Queen! So with tunes blasting in my eyes from my new found love 'iPod' and an Upper Crust baguette being munched I looked out at the streaking countryside. Less than an Hour later I was leaving Victoria station and and heading up to Old Compton Street and to meet up with David and hi...

Happy New Year folks, welcome to 2008 , the year that Liverpool becomes the European City of Culture, the year of the rat, the year of change and the year I start an illicit and extremely erotic relationship with Brad Pitt! OK, that last one may be a little whimsical fantasy on my part, but the rest are true. It's around this time, the new year, that all the newspapers carry reviews of the best/worst of the previous year, not just newspapers but blogs, websites, magazines, TV shops all have their own reviews of the year. Well, you know me, I always like to be different, a bastion of originality, so ...... here's my odd collection of moments that helped make the the year that 2007 was! Oh and before you read the following and comment or email to say I've got things out of date order, I know that already, I can't remember the exact order things happened and hey, I'm a busy boy, have I got time to go back, search the net to get the dateline correct? John Miles told that "To live without my music would be impossible to do" and I pretty much feel the same, music is more than just aural entertainments, it is the soundtracks of our lives, it should form part of your soul as you let it lift you mood, your emotion and your world. God, I'm prattling in a bit here, and it's all because I've joined the iPod generation at last. OKYesterday though it was David's turn to humoured me as I prattled on and on about my new found love of all things iPod and iTunes! He helped me download stuff, sent me some files and generally helped guide me through the whole of this downloading songs malarkey, which I know understand. So hey Merry Christmas to you all, I trust you had a good one? Full of gifts, family, happiness, joy and goodwill to all men? Mine was the longest fucking Christmas ever known to man, no not because I was locked in a room with various relatives asking the same questions as they do year after year ? But, because I was locked in a room at work, yep I started my shift of four nights at 8pm on the eve of Christmas! Because it was the festive period, they let people leave early, so for most of the night there was just two of us doing the work of 6, which meant it was sodding busy, far busier than I would have liked, so busy in fact that I didn't realise it was Christmas day until 5am!There followed three more nights of just two bods doing the work of 6 and I really think I've never worked that hard at the place ever! Each hour was filled , there was no lunch, no break just solid work. Ya feel sorry for me yet? If I tell you that my Christmas dinner was a Pot Noodle, will that tug at yo...

"Another Saturday night and I ain't go nobody" Isn't that a line from a song from years ago or am I just dreaming that? Anyway it was true of me last night, there I was sitting all alone on the sofa in Shaw Towers with just the remote control and a bottle of Advocaat for company. OK, so I'm not usually and Advocaat drinker, it's just not me, but I purchased it for a present for the old dear, but what with all the rushing about on Thursday, I totally forgot about it. And, well you know me, it's alcoholic and in my mind, alcohol is meant to be drunk so I did. I made a strange kind of snowball drink, only without the lemonade as I had none, so I substituted fizzy water for the fizzy poo! Not the best homemade cocktail I have to say!Everyone seems to have up sticks for this years festive period, Jake's gone up to his folks in some northern town. Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the sodding way! I've had the most awful week of work, it's been mega busy and we've been so short staffed that we haven't been able to take breaks, so that means I've had to work 12 hours a night without a break. So to say that I'm pissed off with that place would be the understatement of the year!!!Yesterday was a busy day, I got home at 8am wishing I'd be sleeping by 8.30am, but then remembered I had yet more Christmas shopping to do and time, well, it waits for no man! So, after a strong coffee, a bit of supper, I put me shoes back on and headed down a blustery cold St James Street, I must admit that I've never been a fan of shopping around this time of year, too many people packing the shops, hunting for overpriced girts for auntie Marty and uncle rob. All pushing and shoving and paying over the odds for various bits of tat is never fun, but then add that Christmas music, those same 'lovely' songs played over and over again, and ...

Sorry it's been a few days since I was last here updating the blog, it's been a busy old time, you know the silly season, the season to be jolly and all that claptrap!I had my works Christmas party on Thursday, why it was a Thursday I'm not sure, probably because it was cheaper to have it mid week than at the weekend! It was the usual mix match of oddities and oddballs. I wasn't going to go, I was going to bail out, but, Rach and the new girl wanted me to come and besides I'd paid my £5 for the ticket, so I guess it would have been rude not to at least show face. I popped over to Rach's for a glass of bubbly, then Lisa, popped in all the way from Eastbourne and then in a taxi to the hotel we went. One such fan is my mate DB, whose in town and hoping to catch a glimpse of some of the stars of this new take on public school life in a rather slapstick kind of way. Straight boys - don't ya just love 'em?
2007-12-08 20:21:00
Well, after last night I think I do, love straight boys that is! OK, that may sound like a rash statement from a out and out poof like me, but, from last nights experience, I do, I love straight boys! It's kinda restored my faith in the younger generation, and, dare I say, given me hope for the future!Mo and I had planned a night out, off to the Honey Club for Hard South, so I popped off over to Portslade to meet up with her for a few drinks before we clubbed our socks off. Now, when I got there, in the lounge was Nadine, Mo's 18 year old daughter, her boyfriend Dean, Mo's foster daughter Ton and her fella Steve. I said my hello's which entails four kisses on the cheek for the girls and normally would have been a firm, almost manly handshake for the boys. However after I finished with the girls kisses, I was asked by Nadine, "What about the boys?" I was going to laugh it off but then, Nadine's fella said "Yeah what about us" Now you don't need to tell a good poof twice, especi...

I've just had a wallow in gayness, first made myself a homemade pizza, then snuggled myself down to watch the DVD of the wondrous Torch Song Trilogy by Harvey Fierstein and a few cans of Budweiser.Torch Song, is one of those few movies that I can watch over and over again, it's a lovely tender tale, that has the power to move and emote. The best thing about being single is that I had complete control of the remote control, I could and did pause it to get another beer or go to the loo. Then, at the sad moments, the death, the fight and the end, when tears were dripping down from my eyes, there was no one to hold my hand, to pass the tissue and tell me what a soppy, softie I was being, the worst of being a single bloke! However, being single means that I can come on here just after midnight, with Mika blas...

Yesterday was one of those days when you don't think the heaven's will ever cease in the downing of the poor mortals below, I mean talk about rain, well, it was and it was wet, and the driving easterly wind ensured that just a couple of minutes in the outside world would culminate in drenched outer garments! It was the kind of day to stay wrapped up warm, snuggled inside with a good book, or a DVD and a bottle of wine. So what did I do? I went out to meet David for a pre-Mika drink! We met at one of the smallest pubs in Brighton, The Queensbury Arms, a snug little tiny boozer to the left of the Metropole hotel, round the back. Once upon a time, long long ago, it used to be a boxers type of pub, no not with the clientele running about in the latest pro-stretch mesh from Calvin Klien, but real boxers, you know with the kind of gloves you wear not to do the dishes or keep your hands warm! I had a postcard delivered through my door from a Ben in Grand Camen today, had a lovely picture of a sleep little village on the front and the traditional words 'Wish you were here?' on the back. And for a moment, well several moments actually, I really wished I were over there, then I thought about it a bit more, would I be with Ben in that sunshine isle?
