For want of a degree
2007-12-13 09:01:00 I know I promised a nice heartfelt post commemorating my 10000+ page visits, but thats a big post and lets face it, you people are most certainly not going to read it at this point. After all, the previous post was huge.Coming to the point, I am in love, this time with my NEW banner... I made it pretty much from scratch except the picture of the Undertaker. Why have I used such a scary looking banner? Well...I liked it. So for a few days, this shall stay.To the post.As most of you may be knowing by now, 2007 is about to end. For most of you, Indians basically, you are all into Diwali preparations. Cleaning your houses for inspection and busy shopping for relatives that you hate. You shall all repeat this again during new years. For me, I don't have to worry about Diwali or New years...oh no no. When the end of the year approaches, I get the shivers, I tremble in fear, and I procrastinate more than I ever have so far. Yes, exams approach. And like the previous..I guess, 3 times that I... Showtime
2007-12-13 09:00:00 The exam time tables are finally out.I have very good news and horrendously bad news, and some more good news, and then some bad news...lollet start with the nice ones first. The time table.I got exams on 7th, 17th, 18th, 22nd, and then straight on 8th Jan. Look at the vast number of days in between papers. And for math, I have roughly 16 days.... 16!!!!!!!What a lucky schedule. Things really seem to be going in my favor the past few days...sure there have been ill news along the way, but nothing I can't handle. I love this time table. Its as if the gods themselves are fed up and giving me one killer opportunity to pass. Not that I believe in gods, for, if they did exist and really wanted to help, they would make the papers magically disappear.Ahem, bad news...I got too lazy and fed up and sort of...deleted my celebration post...so alas, you will not get to read that ever. Halfway through that story I realized that its too personal, apart from being 8 pages long(only the first part),... More About: Showtime
Mondays.
2007-12-13 08:59:00 Bah. Mondays .I hate them. Waking up all groggy in the morning, nearly toppling out of your bed. Barely avoiding tripping over your clothes, which are on the floor. Not being too lucky and making a big impact on your chair, grumbling a bit and moving forward, thereby banging your knee on the small table. Now cursing along, you open the door and the bright warm rays of the sun glisten on your face...blinding you temporarily. At this point you start speaking a different language. You begin to curse in japanese. Chi-kussssooo...kuso kuso KUSO!!!! But the day has just begun. Oh yes, now the bathroom escapades. You enter the bathroom, and show disgust on your face. The floor is wet. I hate when the floors are wet. And slippery, Ow!!!, my poor bottom. The soap has that soap scum all over it. Ewww. Get to shampooing your hair, and then condition it, but wait... there is no conditioner. Grrfrangrafrngraar!!!! The cleansing process is finally done and now its time to dry off. Eh? where is my...
A not-so-happy ending
2007-12-13 08:50:00 It has come to my attention that, until now, all of my stories have been happy ones. All the stories which had Alex and Kathryn as the lead characters all had a happy ending. Even the times when Kathryn rejects Alex, he used to never give hope and try again another day. This is all fine and well, but, as a writer, I should delve in all aspects of literature. Therefore, I need to learn the element of grief and sorrow too. So, with that in mind, I proceed to write my first sad story. Mind you, it?s my first time so bear with me.Setting: college time. Meaning, all characters are in their college era.Alex slouched on his sofa. He was lost deep in thought. The past few weeks had been a real roller coaster for him. After an entire year of being rejected by Kathryn, his persistence had finally paid off. She had grown tired of his daily routine of waking up early morning and asking for a date. She decided to get it over with and agreed.Never did she think that it will be a nice experience. A... More About: Happy , Ending

How to avoid boredom when the lights go off
2007-12-13 08:46:00 Welcome to another "HOW-TO" edition of Hershey's cave.Recently I have been getting a lot of power cuts in the house, which would be fine because we were prepared for it. Unfortunately the inverter doesn't seem to be working. Damn electricians. They could hook the damn thing to my fan but couldn't attach my lights. So basically at night I am thankful for not feeling hot and sweaty(wish I could though...but under different circumstances...ah..crude guy humor) however, I can't see my hair because the room is pitch black.I like my hair and prefer to see it before falling asleep.Anyway,Sometimes when the lights go off I tend to get a little crazy, do goofy things, say funny stuff, make silly noises etc etc. Gets rid of the boredom. Also, if you are in a group, it works wonders to get a few giggles. So what do i do? A lot of things, but lets make a list of what YOU can do. My top 5 favorites.1. I make it sound as if someone is grabbing me, then break some object, preferably a vase or ... More About: Lights , Avoid , Boredom
Pay Per Post?
2007-12-13 08:45:00 So, I finally started using the PayPerPost program. But what exactly is PPP?Let me explain in the simplest of terms. You are a blogger. You log in each day and write about events and incidents that occur around you. Or you basically ramble on and rant all day long.If you are good enough, and you seriously enjoy writing, why not earn some money on the side? This is where PPP comes in. These guys have a bunch of specific topics they want you to write about and basically, if they like what you have written...Cha-ching! Instant money.Too good to be true? It is. There was definitely a catch.First, your blog has to be atleast 3 months old, with meaningful posts, nothing copy pasted of other websites.Second, your blog needs a google pagerank. If you don't have this, then you can't access majority of the posts. This is where I took a fall way back in September. But after finally getting a decent pagerank, I just can't wait to start using this program. The post topics they give, are mostly ... More About: Pay Per Post
Garage floors
2007-12-13 08:45:00 Are you one of those people who have a fancy cool garage, with everything including those automatic garage doors... the perfect garage except for one small detail, the floor is made of concrete? Got the perfect garage except for the broken cracked oil stained rocky floor? This website seems to sell a variety of tiles which are worth checking out if you wish to renovate the flooring of your garage. http://www.carguygarage.com/gaflti.html http://www.carguygarage.com/diamond-garag e-flooring.html There are times when people actually LIKE concrete floors? who wouldn?t? They are more stable after all. These guys have a nice grade epoxy for keeping the concrete clean and shiny. http://www.carguygarage.com/epgafl.html Currently my garage floor is concrete too. Though I checked out the site and, I got to say, this Black Floor Tile looks pretty good.garage flooringpayperpost**** PROPERTY OF HERSHEY DESAI DO NOT STEAL OR MODIFY WITHOUT PERMISSION **** More About: Garage , Floors
Time and sleep.
2007-12-13 08:39:00 Lets just start off with one tiny little issue. Its not even really an issue. In fact, would be better if I reply to my comments, but I if I answer the issue there, then I will have to greet everyone else. Otherwise it would be impolite.Anyway, raaji, I understand that not all blogs are about their writers. Some blogs are purely political, some are random useless facts, there are even photoblogs flying around the web. Which is why I said, "a blog is, at times, considered a means to...". However, when you "completely" disagree. See, I am weird lunatic who has this tendency to argue over the smallest things. I may have some psychological disorders too, looking into that. For now, its just exam stress so don't take this the wrong way, I am not bickering with you, but don't you think, that whatever a person writes about...politics, sports, entertainment, even posting pictures...it, in some way, reflects their ideas and opinions, thereby, making the blog about "them".I am just saying..... Latest news
2007-12-13 08:38:00 A blog is at times considered a means for someone to share information about themselves to the world. I rarely use it that way, indulging more in funny incidents occurring around me and making everything take a comical twist as much as possible. On rare occasions, I do tend to crib and rant out my problems, not because it makes me feel good, nor because I want an audience to hear my problems. Its simply a reminder for how I felt on this day. A blog can be considered as a substitute for a journal too.Now I know I have stopped visiting my fellow bloggers for quite a while now, as a result almost more than 2/3rd of them have started to ignore me too. Funny how that works, a few handful still come and read what I have to say regardless of how many times I visit them. To my honest surprise, I wasn't expecting the newcomers to be the frequent ones... Anyone who has commented in the last 3 posts, thank you all for dropping by. Your blog will be my top priority to visit today. I will go thr... More About: News
