Behind The Illusion
2008-02-28 08:29:00
I've been fortunate to all but stumble across a writer, relatively new to the scene. I'm very impressed with the quality of writing this lady possesses but even more with the content of her web log.Behind The Illusion is a detailed look at society today and yesterday from a 'behind the scenes' look. There are not many articles posted yet, but the interest generated within this blog is extremely varied. There are articles for 'science vs Creationalism', 'possible foundings of 9/11', 'quality of life for teenage cell phone users' and 'a behind the scenes look at Katrina', comparing her to Hurricane Betsy of 1969 and possibilities for the cause of the devastation.Behind The Illusion is a hard look at the realities of the world and the thoughts of the unspoken people, from off the street. People who see life differently, then those Politicians we hear from on CNN and well-to-do business class people on Canada and America AM.Behind The Illusion is authored by Patricia Lanch...
Sammy - R.I.P.
2008-02-26 07:36:00
I lost my young horse Sammy (Sam's Pride) on Sunday, due to natural causes. She was buried on Monday and I have been feeling down and more than a bit lost this past week. First in trying to save her life, then watching her die and finally committing to the final arrangements.Because of sad and unfortunate activities I haven't been blogging or setting up the www.gimmeadream.com site.By email, Instant Messenger, telephone and favorite forums Helium and Yewie, well wishes and sympathies have been flooding in, for which I am so grateful. One such email from Sammers, the person for whom I kept the name Sammy on my youngster filly because she was such a good friend, send a poem be an unknown author which is placed below."For Sammy and for you.... one day you WILL meet again!" - Samantha Broaddrick The Rainbow BridgeJust this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are mea...

Bloggers and Writers Continued!!!
2008-02-18 00:30:00
Forty-eight hours later and the Qassia saga continues..., but at a staggering rate. Yesterday after writing the post 'Bloggers and Writers !!!', I went back and review three of the 'intel' articles. I found what I read very well wrote and told the writers through a little message box what I thought. I just went back to check and my rates seem to have skyrocketed for the work that I did.The amount my three blogs brought into Qassia are between $40 and $80 each. I received and amount for my reviews, but mostly it seems to be my blogs that are getting attention from Qassia. I now have a total of $280 at the site and that is for doing nothing more than I normally do anyway. I'm astounded and have decided to look into the program better.I put it up here at Gimme before working the program because it was in Beta and I wanted to let others know about it even though I didn't have time to look at it. When it comes out of Beta normally a company will start to charge for membership, ...
Bloggers and Writers!!!
2008-02-16 03:49:00
For all you Bloggers and writers out there in lala land, there is a new writing community on the networks, that pays you to write, review and to back link to your blogs. Now we all know the reason we write blogs is to have someone read them.... Well here is another possibility..., Qassia!I joined a few days ago, as a favour to a Yuwie friend, who was constantly sending me referral hookups. This one she pushed me when I was in a good mood I guess, so I joined and left, not paying any attention to it.This evening, while dropping EntreCard, I came across another who was a member. So I used her link to get in because believe it or not you have to use a member to join. You can't go through the front door, as one would expect. Qassia is still in it Beta form, but will soon be out of it. I don't know if they will be excepting writers after that period.Anyway, getting back to the story, it appears that I have been earning money there without know it. This is my balance sheet for my t...

A Milestone For Gimme A Dream!
2008-02-15 04:25:00
This is a remarkable day for the Blog Gimme A Dream today. Happy Valentines Day and a Happy Dot Com Day, too! Yes Gimme A Dream just turned .com and the URL address is : www.gimmeadream.comMind you, it will only bring you back here, but with all the things going on here at Gimme A Dream, it was necessary to expand into the business side of this affair. Gimme A Dream has been earning a wage for a few months now and has expanded its horizons way beyond I ever would have dreamed three months ago. Between the social networks, the affiliations, and the niche blogs, it was time to move ahead and bring it all under one roof so to speak. There will be changes in the future. A new website must be created and a logo. Heavens, how can we go without a logo, lol. The store will housed in the new site and the blogs , but there will be an over all splash or home page, that will be entered and from there, visitors will be able to choose where they wish to go.Wow! When I think of all that ha...

Want Traffic?
2008-02-13 20:01:00
Get It Here! This is a SEM - Search Engine Marketing system. At this point I can't tell you anything more than it is free for a couple more weeks only. I have a lot of studying to do..., but because this is a system in its BETA form still, until March, they want people to test it. So I put it up now without a good testing.I am sorry for not explaining it better! As I find out more I'll add to this post or set up another depending on it's importance. In the meantime this system promises to raise my site to the number one spot within the next three months, for the five keywords that I own. If anyone has anything to sell, they should get in on this..., even if you are selling freelance writing or children's stories or novels.Pay-Per-Click Marketing is more like traditional advertising – you pay to be shown in the search engine listings for specific keyword phrases. But unlike traditional media, you don't pay for impressions, you only pay when someone actually clicks on your ad...

2008-02-11 06:37:00
Earning income through Social Networking - this is what it tells me. I joined months ago and forgot about it. In fact. the Blog Record is probably lost on my side bar, lol. Any it says I joined a long time ago and that I have $25 in my account. Cool! Then I found after some looking to find out how I had money in my account. Apparently they give you $25 to join - yayyyyy! Then I need to earn another $75 to draw the $100 out of the account...., Ok that sounds reasonable. Even I don't expect anything for nothing. So if anyone one wants to join, they give you $25 to start and you write your way to financial success! These buttons were designed by Lawny DesignzPlease, Give for Cancer Reasearch!http://feeds.bidvertiser.com/gi mmeadream

Let Us Take Time To Remember Our Beloved Friend...,
2008-02-09 00:37:00
Terrible NewsBody: Please join me in remembering a great icon of the entertainment community. The Pillsbury Doughboy died yesterday of a yeast infection and trauma complications from repeated pokes in the belly. He was 71.Doughboy was buried in a lightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out to pay their respects, including Mrs. Butterworth, Hungry Jack, theCalifornia Raisins, Betty Crocker, the Hostess Twinkies, and Captain Crunch. The grave site was piled high with flours.Aunt Jemima delivered the eulogy and lovingly described Doughboy as a man who never knew how much he was kneaded. Doughboy rose quickly in show business, but his later life was filled with turnovers. He was not considered a very smart cookie, wasting much of his dough on half-baked schemes. Despite being a little flaky at times he still was a crusty old man and was considered a positive roll model for millions.Doughboy is survived by his wife Play Dough, two children, John Dough and Jane Dough, plus the...

It's My Birthday And I'm Wondering, "If Mum Were Alive Today, What Would Sh
2008-02-06 09:11:00
Have any of stopped to think about what your parents or grandparents would blog about? I've been sitting here, getting up occasionally to check on Big Dream, because he has some colic, doing a jigsaw puzzle, while working on another craft piece and wondering about my mum.She would never be interested in the technical side of a computer or the internet, but I think she would take to blogging like she never took to journaling. She had died before we got our first computer. Before I could imagine using one myself. Yet only a year after she was buried, I was programming in Pascal. If she had of lived on to a good age for an elder, I think she would have used the internet to play games on when she was bored. She would have used the internet net to collect recipes, to research the bible, put her photographs in a presentable order and blog. I am so certain that Mum would have blogged as a natural extension of her life. She was a creative person. I have beading projects that she crea...

Winter Woes!
2008-02-03 22:23:00
If anyone is following the Gimme A Dream Web Log or any of the others that I author, then you know I haven't been online very much these past few days. I have had all sorts of troubles here which probably all stem from our glorious weather.February came in like a lion or January went out like one. We had a severe ice storm of which I took pictures and posted here a few days back. Then we had a monstrosity freeze the next day. Then I had trouble with my baby Sammy who was a very sick little filly, for a while. The next day we had another ice storm and now another freeze. All the while this was going one, the power lines were being iced and whipped by the wind until some lines broke and pole broke off. Power failures became a daily occurrence as the wind did it thing and as Hydro crews worked all through the days and nights trying to put everything pack together and hold it together in the raging freezing temperatures.Today I finally let the horses out to the field to forge out of...

“IF YOU CAN’T WRITE ME - DRAW ME!!!!”
2008-02-01 05:28:00
My mum, Marion Clark Currie used to write her sister-in-law, my Aunt Blossom, when they were both mothers of young children. Every few weeks a letter would come through the mail and mum would be engrossed for long minutes, then peels of laughter and tears would come to her eyes. We would gather around to find out what was so funny.Aunt Blossom lived on the Magdalen Islands, in mum’s home town, village really, of Old Harry. All her family, which was extensive with her being the youngest of thirteen children, lived in the area or passed through the area, while on vacation. We, on the other hand, lived in Oromocto, New Brunswick or Geary which is 5 miles outside Oromocto. My dad was in the Canadian Armed Forces and stationed at Camp Gagetown. Yes, I know, and I’m proud to have grown up an army brat. But that is another story.Getting back to the letter writing. This was something that became a ritual between the two good friends. Every two or three weeks this letter would arrive and ...
