I look forward to Hari Raya more anxiously every other year, and honestly deep down in my heart I feel more joy in giving Duit Raya rather than receiving. I must be getting old wiser! We spent Hari Raya eve at Azman’s parents home in Kedah before we head back to my mother’s in Penang that raya night. It has been a long and exciting tiring eight days of pure work! work! work! Any nausea and blood vomiting that has occurred last week among this website’s visitors is much regretted. I understand it happened because you guys were too sick and tired of viewing that purple pitted fruit and that disgusting leech sucking a meal outta Azman’s little toe again and again. Please forgive the absence of my crappy rambling, I didn’t have a choice. I was one of those unlucky thousand chosen by the government to be sent away from our beloved families. It was hard. For me it was just eight days, for some of my friends it was up to three weeks. It’s a huge blow for him…because his whole life has been dedicated to the development of CRT TV. He has a couple of US pattern registration under his name that makes him untouchable to most of DY designers. Thats how good he is…it will never change the final fate of CRT TV !!…. Then, how about me? Am I going to be the last survival in the history of Sony Trinitron DY designer? Yeah..it should be like that. I don’t know if I should be happy or sad about that. 2007-07-29 17:31:00 It was a typical busy day at the office when my colleague Yani offered me something to munch. And it’s not just an ordinary something but something I’ve never tasted before. She gave me the nastiest brain piercing, tongue numbing, gum tingling, tummy rumbling sour tasting fruit I have ever tasted in my whole life. It’s actually the young unripe Kundang fruit Bouea oppositifolia (Roxb.) Adelb. that was cut into small pieces and dip into salt before you pop into your mouth. One bite and it is sure to make your face squirm with its extreme sourness. I love it! So when Azman’s parents call to say their orchards in Kedah and Perak are laden with tropical fruits that are pretty costly at the Klang Valley, my heart jumped with joy! 2007-07-19 17:40:00 Last week I had a meeting at Ho Chi Minh City, Viet nam . This is my 3rd visits to Vietnam. My last visit was about a week before my marriage. This time, I took Malaysia Airlines because I’ve bad memory with Vietnam Airlines during my first travel to Vietnam. I arrived Tan Son Nhut Airport in Ho Chi Minh City about 4.30pm. The driver was already there waiting to pick me up and drive me to the hotel. His name is Mr. Minh and they pronounce it “Men”. He then drove me to hotel at Ho Chi Minh City center, Rex Hotel. It’s a nice and beautiful 4 stars hotel. The hotel was located in front of People’s Committee Hall near Saigon riverside and about 7km from the airport. However, it took almost 40 minutes by car because of too many motorcycles crawling about the streets!! The best thing about this hotel, they offered free WIFI in every room!! 2007-07-11 08:51:00 As expected, Malay sia have lost to China in Asia Cup Group stage. However, to be humiliated 1-5 in Malaysia home soil is a total disgrace. To make it even worse, Malaysian players seem to enjoy the result and didn’t feel any embarrassment whatsoever. Just after the match, they were clapping their hands and chatting to each others just like nothing had happen. After the match while reading the list of Malaysian players, my friend, Cok Man realized that something is wrong with Malaysia player selection. First team players featuring ; 3 players from Selangor , 3 players from Pahang , and 1 player each from NS Naza, Perak, Perlis, TMM & MyTeam. The weird thing about the player selection is there were no player from the current Malaysian top club, Kedah. I considered him lucky because he will go there with another 3 members, not like me that travel alone during the first time I’ve been there. His request actually reminds me of the story of the first time I’ve visited San Diego, California & Baja Tijuana, Mexico. My first visit was on 30 May 2004 for technical meeting. First, I had to go to TV Design Dept in San Diego for introduction presentation and after that to Tijuana, Mexico for test run. It’s a really busy 1 week trip for me. My first story was when I was at Los Angeles International Airport. Once I’ve arrived in LA at Tom Bradley International Terminal ( near Terminal 3 & 4 ), I had to take a flight to San Diego at domestic terminal ( Terminal 7 ). The aeroplane was really small. We planned the trip weeks in advance simply because Yani’s hometown is situated all the way up in Fraser Hill , Pahang. Fraser Hill is a famous tourist attraction for nature’s lovers. It is situated 1500meters higher than sea level and about 2 and a half hours drive from KL, which is pretty long time considering its distance of just 100km away. From the city, we took a route to Rawang and then to Kuala Kubu Baru. From then on the winding road to Fraser Hill can be pretty mean to those with weak stomach, now don’t say I didn’t warn you. Eight of us, Azman and I, Rena, Azam, Nize, Fiza, Sri and her fiancé Fairus stayed at a 3rooms apartment at SilverPark Resort. We had a blast of a super good time throughout the whole 2 days trip. Kesian Katak is one very lonely man all away in the waters of Terengganu so I guessed why not but futsal would be better isnt it? I managed to arrange for a friendly match with ex-sony colleague, Sharol on Friday night at King Futsal , Bandar Baru Bangi. To gather at least 5 people to play futsal is actually an easy task for me.. i’ve many friends in Bandar Baru Bangi that have always been waiting for my invitation. However my dilemma was.. how can i make sure i was not inviting too many people?? We’ll only be playing for an hour and i hope not to gather more 8 peoples for this friendly match…But if i only invite 8 guys.. there’re possibilities that only 5 will show up..siigghhh..
