Birthday to me ....

?? is official in the Terrible Two stage! ?? brought us to ??? at Paragon yesterday because ?? loves their beef noodles (me too!). After that, we headed straight to the playground on the 4th or was it 5th floor. The kids had heaps of fun and didn't want to leave. Of course the Birth day Gal threw lots of tantrums.We went passed a florist and ?? saw this huge balloon and kept saying balloon, balloon. I got one for her and told ?? if he could pay it and make it his present for his ??. He was happy to do so. His original plan (he told me on Saturday) was to shop for a present for his ?? and to treat her to Swensens' Ice Cream. Wah! So Nice!That boy can't wait and kept asking when we are going to have ice-cream. Hmm. So who's more eager now. So to Swensen's for ice cream we went. Craft Fun

?? did her very first craft today. As expected, she was curious and followed me to see what I had in my hands. She just refused to sit down. I guided her a few times and very soon she was 'chopping' the sponge away. Then there was her brother telling her where to 'chop'. I had fun! The kids had fun too!Of course ?? didn't want it to stop lah. She went to pick up another sponge but I was quick enough to remove the paint. There will be a next time, definitely! * I want to try this shape too! *

I saw this video on Decay on Net. I thought I got over (being angry) on the minister pay hike matter but after reading his blog, got me heated up again. Maybe I just don't understand how they rule the country. So, now we have to see Singapore as a MNC not a country? So it that how it works now? So they want to be a Minister because it a well paid job? Pay not attractive enough? Resign and join another MNC lor. Who give me more peanuts, I go perform there. Talk about commitment. Sigh! They should try being a Stay-at-home-mum! Pay rise? What pay rise? Oh, and I like that part about Singaporean women might become maid and Singaporean men, construction worker. Ai ya! Sigh! Sick again

?? got a sratch on her leg from a fall some time back. ?? refuse to like the wound heal. She kept poking at it and it made the wound bleed and bigger. It must have been itchy. Poor girl!Now the wound is 3 times bigger that what it originally was and she has got an infection. It spread to 2 other place where there are cuts too. Told you she is a rough girl. Sigh ! Took her to the doctor and she was told to be on antibiotics again. She just finished taking one, few days ago for her cough and flu. This girl huh don't know is it she got thick skin or what. I clean her wound, she didn't cry. Some more can lift up her legs to me when I tell her I'm going to apply medicine for her. Not pain one meh?Anyway, I don't know why she suddenly has fever today. My kids has been sick for the past week. They have not fully recovered yet but at least they are so much better. I just hope their appetite will improved too. ?? simply refuse to eat anything other than fish balls. At least ?? is eating in small portions.Anyway, I thought I was very strong. Hahaha. But I was very wrong. I just couldn't win the battle from virus the 2 kids released. Now, I'm having a very bad sore throat and sneezing constantly. Sigh. I guess I have to 'donate' some money to the clinic liao. In the mean time, the kids will see me walking around them with a mask on. I don't want to pass it back to them.

Urgh! We are ill!

The kids have been free of illness this year till now. ?? has been coughing for more than 2 weeks and we have been to the GP twice - no improvement. Then he passed it to ??.Poor girl had phlegm stuck in the throat and has a very bad running nose. It must be 'tickling' her because she couldn't sleep and just keep coughing till she throw up the phlegm. She has been throwing up 4 to 5 times at night for the passed 3 nights. She couldn't eat and drink too because I think her throat must be very sore from the coughing. GP's medication didn't work too.I let ?? skipped school today and bought them to the Paediatrician at Gleneagles. ?? has a very important meeting with the CEO of HDB so I'm on my own. These 2 don't look and behave anything like they are sick. I have to chase them all over the place and I'm like half dead now. Every time ?? get noticed on the street and get commented is of her hair!! They love her hair!I like straight hair because it's so much easier to manage and neater looking. But I have to admit, if I see someone else's daughter or granddaughter with hair like ??'s, I would love it too! Thick and with big curls which are only at the ends. Some people thought I had her hair permed!Don't you love it? ...... *shameless*

I kept the big carton from the washer we bought, thinking of using it as a craft material to make a playhouse. The kids can't wait. See what they did with it? I don't think I can make the house looking at the condition of the carton now. It will not pass the building inspection.

I have decided to let my trusty Thomson washing machine of nine years to finally rest in peace. It's still working but it made so much noise I worried my neighbours would lodge a complain on me. Since it's so costly to get it repaired, I might as well get a new one. This time I bought a cheap Japanese made one. Thank you, Tommy, for serving the family for so many year. Time for you to take a long break.I persuaded my hubby to go to IMM (we went there to get out washer) early yesterday so the kids can have fun at the playground. I'm not sure how long we were at the playground but when it was time to go, they made soooo much noise. My poor kids! They seldom go to the playground because the one near our place is always being vandalised and I worried that something might break while playing.We left only after lunch and this ?? was so beat that she fell asleep on my lap on the way home. I did some flash cards to teach ?? spelling. I end up not using them because the results were slow and we didn't have time because these words will be tested in school.I didn't want to waste the cards I have prepared so I used it on ?? instead. And boy was I surprised when I heard her saying "c-a-t, cat" few days ago out of the blue! I asked her again but she refused to say it again. Wow! Wow! Wow! Can't wait for her to spell to me again.

??'s school has started giving spelling and ?? this month. Every Tuesday for spelling and Thursday for ??. Homework has also increased. Now I have to spend more time coaching me. I think I'm going to have to cut down my PC time.So far, he had had 1 spelling with full marks and 2 ?? with the 1st one having a mistake and the 2nd one full marks too. I'm surprise he didn't get all right the 1st time because he already know the word. But I'm proud of him because he at least make an effort to practise (almost) everyday.Let's just hope his hardworking habit continues.

?? turned 5 yesterday. It's no April's Fool joke okay. We went to Swensen's at Jurong Point to celebrate his birthday.We always go there because it's spacious and the staff there is friendly, the service is good and we don't have to wait very long for your food. The staff there even came over to sing the birthday song to ??. ?? was so stunned by the loud singing and clapping, she began to cry! It was so funny!We had a great time! I was tagged by Nicole on the reasons why I married my man. Must list 10 reasons. Surely there will be more than 10. We have been together for 18 years (8 years courtship + 10 years marriage) now. We both love the same kind of music and song. He used to play the drums and I used to play the guitar. Some match huh! But never played together before. I did teach him some basic guitar notes and we played together before. Such fun!We both like rock and roll and cha-cha. My 2 kids are very different in terms of learning. One will make a lot of noise if I don't teach. The other will make a lot noise when I teach. Guess who loves to learn?But then why both so active huh? Why can't I have one less active kid? This Energizer Bunny Mummy is running out of battery leh!

Well, I almost died of exhaustion while out getting a gift for 哥哥's ex-classmate's little brother's birthday. It's this Saturday and 爸爸 can't promise he will be back home early so we could all go together to get the gift or I could go on my own after settling the kids to bed. But for the past few days he has been arriving home late. I don't want to go to the party empty handed. So since the weather was good - not raining, I thought I could bring the kids and get a gift on my own. How difficult can that be?Bad move! I didn't even bring my sarong along because the trip wasn't planned. Double bad move!! Once we reach the toy store, this girl just dashed in, bring down toys from shelves like she was in her own house. Of course I have to pack after her otherwise I might get chase out. New bed for me!

I moved 哥哥's old children bed from the playroom to our room for 妹妹. Her playpen was so torn she could actually roll out of it. Too dangerous. It was a tiring job moving the bed alone plus I got to watch out for the kids. Luckily, I don't have to do this often.I asked 爸爸 to bring back some planks from his site so I could use it to block up the bed. Otherwise 妹妹 will fall out. I used wallpaper to wrap it. Hehehe ... Nice? Looks like the sky.I was worried that 妹妹 wouldn't want to sleep in there. I was preparing to sleep with her but she was okay with her new bed. She did move about a lot at first because it's so much roomy now then she quiet down and went to sleep. 爸爸 said to let her have her own room in half a year time. ??'s First Dentist Visit

I have been planning to bring ?? to the Dentist for quite some time. He has this bad habit of biting his toothbrush and his toothbrush need to be replace every 1-2 weeks. And he doesn't brush properly. So I thought bring him to the Dentist and let the dentist talk to him will be more efficient. hahaha ...His dental appointment was fixed today after school. He was okay for his visit. Maybe he was already mentally prepared. The only thing he wanted was to have me accompanied him in. After the cleaning, he told me to bring him to the Dentist everyday so he can get his teeth cleaned by the Dentist! He said his teeth now - very clean!
