Where's my mail?

Here in Philippines, mailboxes are not common and it doesn?t look like your ordinary mailboxes in your country. Some residential mailboxes were just part of the gate of the houses. And yeah, for you to know, each and every household here in our country to have gates to protect from unexpected visitors ;pUnlike in states that they only have short fences and some houses don?t even have gates for their houses. On the other hand, commercial mailboxes here in my country somewhat don?t exist. Mostly all the letters were handed by the postman to the guard and the guard will give it to who is concern. And yeah, again, some of the commercial establishments here do have guards, unlike in the states. If you want to secure mailboxes here, you can?t find it for sale at any department stores. You have to ask someone to make it for you.

A tripod would be a very great help when you want to make a photo like this. You can also do it manually but be sure not to move your camera. Its just saturday that I found out about this cool and interesting website of a filipina video blogger. None other than Happy Slip herself, Ms. Christine Gambito. Yesterday my friend invite me to go with him to the nearest mall to buy stuffs for his 1 year old son. We hurriedly get a cab and off we go to the supermarket. It's the day when all the Cebuanos gather around Sto. Niño Basilica. The uptown part of the city is jampacked with people, malls are full, and streets were full of people. The sinulog festival is the most awaited celebration every year. Sinulog is celebrated on the third sunday of January. It start with a nine day novena, followed by a procession on the day before the feast, and the feast day. On the day of the feast there will be street dancing, from the oldest type of sinulog dancing to the new ones. A lot of contingent join the contest, contingent compose of people from other part of the country. And there are some foreign countries who join the free interpretation contest. Each and everyone showcases their different type of dancing. On the feast day, lot of bands are playing from each block of the street. From uptown to downtown, people really have a lot of choices where to go.
