Strange turn of events
2007-02-24 01:14:00 I shall talk about something mundane, but very essential to me, something a little more consistent in this great turn of events last night that is still leaving me a little breathless, a little bewildered and extremely "WTF?!"I am eating a bowl of Frosties now. Frosties is scarce over here in Australia, and i do not know why. I only know of one supermarket that sells it despite the scores of supermarkets that dot this area, and that sole supermarket only brings it this cereal at certain sporadic times. I have been contending with some disgusting healthier cereal the better part of this month, and simply abstaining from morning cereal altogether after 2 weeks. Last night, Tiara managed to get hold of one box at my request. It has been heaven since.Yesterday, i had to do an emergency shift for work. I was supposed to work yesterday, but Sachs (a friend i discovered who was also working as one of the many other carers for Liz) wanted a swap, so i was supposed to work today. Somewhere ... Butterfly effect?
2007-02-21 00:59:00 I could not wake up at 6am to take a shower just before the tradesman came to fix the silicon on the shower cubicle. I only got up at 7am when i heard him pulled up into the driveway and started taking his stuff out.And when he finally came in to have a look at the bathrooms and the balcony, he looked at me in puzzlement and said, "It's all done! Someone has done the job already."I looked at him blankly, having no clue as to what he was saying. Whoever did the job was obviously not me. Besides, i have no idea that our bathrooms and balcony needed silicon fillings whatsoever. He made an urgent phonecall to his boss who i believe was roused from the call, and after a quick exchange, the verdict was to scrap out the previous filling that the tradesman felt was not adequate enough, and then proceed to fill in the silicon. I shook my head to myself."Does the landlord know that the bathrooms and balcony have been done?" I asked casually."Oh no. The landlord is not our client. The builder ... "Drop ye decks, old son!"
2006-08-09 19:21:07 I have been having some interesting clinical skills tutorials recently. Last week, we had to do a musculoskeletal examination, which entails flexing leg joints, knee joints and hip joints to see what is wrong with the patient. Since we had to examine the lower limbs, we were required, but not obliged, to turn up in shorts or track pants. I conveniently forgot to. For one, it is bloody winter, and More About: Deck , Drop
One very sick horse
2006-08-06 19:15:02 I have been atrociously sick the past 2 days, leading me to skip lectures on Thursday, and every lesson today (which includes a tutorial, which i shall stress, is extremely IMPORTANT, and a dissection class, which i shall emphasize, leaves me with no regrets). The cold bug has been making its rounds both in school and in college. Sugar Hyperness got taken down first, and then Bert in college got it. And then me. Cleo is looking like the next potential victim. But i strongly believe the reason i got struck so badly by this respiratory tract infection is because of softball. *Lets out a long low whistle* I have been much too stressed by softball; maladaptive coping you could say. Given that i am a perfectionist, and performing under expectations is a sure way to make me go mental, plus the fact that training is inadequate; are enough to send my immune system in a frenzy. In addition, i have a test coming up on Monday, which comprises of a mere 10 multiple choice questions, but which ... More About: Sick , Horse

More articles from this author:2006-08-06 19:15:02 I have offcially had enough of your rubbish. I have reached my threshold level. My patience has been stretched thin, to the point of shredding. My tolerance is impressive; even i am amazed. You have succeeded in jacking my blood pressure more times in this one year alone than i can ever remember in my entire life. Even my intense judo matches against formidable worthy opponents pale in comparison. Somewhere along the way, i have lost sight of the line separating happiness and passion for a game to over-zealous expectations and pressurizing demands generated by a competition. Soft ball is no longer providing me with any highs. I come back dejected, forlorn, and demoralized; my self-confidence always receiving repeated bashings, after training sessions or matches. I am not a quitter, but i am not the bad player you make me out to be either. Somehow, i feel that my skill level has in fact deterioriated instead of improving. My phobia grows with every training, every match instead of va... More About: Note , Team , Softball , Ball 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 |
