Quote of the Day
2007-10-02 21:30:00 To lead people, walk beside them ... As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence. The next best, the people honor and praise. The next, the people fear; and the next, the people hate ... When the best leader's work is done the people say, "We did it ourselves!"Lao-tsu More About: Quote Of The Day , Quote
NY Mets - Tom Glavine
2007-10-01 16:41:00 As much as I don't care for the NY teams, I feel bad for Tom Glavine for pitching one of his worst games when his team needed him the most. Glavine was hammered for 7 runs in the first inning of a 8-1 loss to the Florida Marlins. Glavine is a ultimate competitor and a solid personality. So, how did all come down to just one game - Mets had a 7 game lead over their division rival Phillies, 20 days ago, and lost 6 of their last 7 games, all of them at home. Now its all gone, the Phillies are in and the Mets are out. So what does this tell you..it ain't over until it's over.

2007-10-01 15:55:00 Someone please explain......!!!How do you -get embarrassed like this playing a nationally televised gamescore just 3 points coming off of a 56 points shoot outplay a divisional opponent and give up 12 sacks?get sacked 12 times with a quarterback who used to be good making plays with his legs?get out of the pocket and then take a sack?get sacked 12 times, when your second string running back runs for 103 yards in 17 carriesget sacked 12 times, coming off a victory after scoring 56 pointsgive 12 sacks in a game to a team that had 4 sacks total in the first 3 gamesget penalized 15 times for a total 132 yardsget smacked like this by a team ranked 23rd coming into this gameIf you haven't figured it yet, I'm talking about - Sunday Night Football, Eagles vs Giants
Week 4 Prediction
2007-09-28 17:54:00 OK, I sure do know football, last week was just a fluke. After, a miserable week in picking games (7-9), I'm really focused and here's my prediction for this week.1) Houston Vs Atlanta - Houston, Texans get it done. Matt Schuab proves why he's better than Vick.2) Baltimore Vs Cleveland - Cleveland, I like Cleveland. Even though they lost last week, they were in it until the end. That's what I like about teams, you just hang in there.3) NY Jets Vs Buffalo - NY Jets, Buffalo is just banged up.4) St. Louis Vs Dallas - Dallas, somebody please beat Dallas..!!!5) Chicago Vs Detroit - Bears, Griese gets it done, throws for 250+ yards against a below-average Detroit defense.6) Oakland Vs Miami - Miami, I expect Miami to play much better both offensively and defensively.7) Green Bay Vs Minnesota - Packers, With the way Favre is playing I can't go against the Packers.8) Seattle Vs San Francisco - 49'ers - bail me out guys, I'm picking you guys two weeks in a row.I like the 49 'er defe... NFL Power Rankings
2007-09-27 03:27:00 1 - Patriots - The Patriots have out scored their opponents 114 - 35, that's fantastic if you ask me.2 - Colts - At the end of the day, they are the defending NFL champions.3- Cowboys - This one is difficult. I absolutely hate the cowboys, nevertheless...4- Steelers - They are undefeated, will go with the record.5- Packers - gotta love the way Favre is playing. He makes the game so much fun.6- Titans - Love the Titan defense. Vince Young looks solid many times.7- Houston - Though they lost to the Colts, they were that close man!8- Panthers - will give one for John Fox's teams, he brings so much character.9 - Buccaneers - sleeper of that weak division. watch out....!!!10 - Ravens - defense will keep them in games.11- Jaguars - they beat the Broncos in Denver, give 'em credit.12 - 49'ers - I'm disappointed they lost last week. When the season is all said and done they will be the most improved team.13 - Broncos - Cutler will get better.14 - Eagles - something tells me that the Ea... More About: Power

Football
2007-09-18 19:55:00 How about the Pats crushing San Diego(38-14)? So much for the offensive genius Norv Turner, the league's best running back LT, not to mention the Charger defense. The Pats got this one done for their head coach. It was good to see all the players hug Bill after the game, shows how much they love and respect their head coach in spite of all the controversy. You can say whatever you want about his personality, attitude, Bill Belichick is a defensive genius in modern day football. I don't see anyone beating the Pats this year.____________________________________ _______________________________After missing the season opener on MNF, I sat down last night to watch the game between Eagles and Redskins. Of course, I was rooting for the Eagles, the team that I picked to go to the Superbowl from NFC.....man was I disappointed!!Donovan MCnabb couldn't do anything. He was not sharp at all, at times he missed his receivers a few miles. A couple of times he did get out of the pocket and scramble... More About: Football , Patriots , Monday Night Football , Foot

Curt Schilling
2007-02-22 22:16:00 Curt Schilling has said that he'll file for free agency after his contract expires at the end of the 2007 season. I know what the Sox are doing. Theo is a smart guy, he wants to wait to see how Curt performs this season and then make a decision. However, Curt has said that if they don't get a deal done now then he does not want it done after the season and the Sox respect that.Curt is already 40 and if Daisuke Matsuzaka turns out to be phenom then the Sox can afford to lose Curt, if not they are in trouble.http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.j sp?ymd=20070222&content_id=1811450&vk ey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb More About: Chilli , Curt Schilling , Hill , Chill

Harvard Guru
2007-02-21 14:50:00 Harvard guru Michael Porter is set to reform one of the world's most backward economies. A board, Libyan Economic Development Board (LEBD) similar to that of Singapore's (SEDP/EDP) will be launched by the guru along with Libyans. Considering what the EDP has done to Singapore after it was established in 1961, we can probably expect Libya to be the Singapore of Northern Africa. However, in Singapore the Jurong Industrial Estate was established because it was conducive for industrialization and I'm not sure if such an environment exists in Libya. Also, Singapore has both Indian and Chinese population at it's door steps...this sure has contributed to it's growth.http://www.businessweek.com/global biz/content/feb2007/gb20070220_956124.htm More About: Harvard , Guru

Chrysler
2007-02-17 23:38:00 So is it GM-Chrysler , or Renault-Nissan-Chrysler?I think if GM takes over Chrysler it can stay way ahead of Toyota, Honda and everybody else. However, GM needs to fix it's existing problems. The future is now so cut down all the gas guzzlers and go with hybrids.Today, if a GM worker is laid off he is entitled for 95% of his salary plus benefits for nearly two , years. So shutting down plants is not going to do a whole lot. So GM needs to re-negotiate the contract with U.A.W that is set to expire in 2007.It looks like GM is paying pension and health care for about 400,000 retirees (plus benefits for their dependents) and each U.S worker's production supports 2.5 retirees. This cost is obviously added to the price of a vehicle and is not so with either Nissan or Toyota. The bottom line is GM can be successful if it eliminates all weak models (it has 55 models in cars, trucks and SUVs), fix the other problems, and just go buy Chrysler...!!http://www.businessweek.com/ autos/content/feb2...

Boston Celtics
2007-02-14 02:45:00 Danny Ainge is competing hard with Matt Millen, Isaiah Thomas to be the worst front office executive for a professional sports team. I'm sure he'll beat both of them and any other bad executive you can think of. The Celtic s have lost 18 straight games, the worst in team history. The first thing he does after taking office is trade Antione Walker, then bring him back only to trade him later to the Heat. In addition, he has had miserable drafts over the last few years. Some of the players he has drafted - Delonte West, Al Jefferson, Tony Allen are not All-Stars and Doc is not the kind of coach who could turn average players into All-Stars. Also, he wasted the seventh overall pick in the 2006 draft for Sebastian Telfiar when Delonte West is a much better point guard.Paul Pierce is the best thing that has happened to the Celtic Nation in recent years. Every time, I check out the Celts, Wally Szczerbiak is injured. Also Szczerbiak is a one dimensional player which makes me think we coul... More About: Boston , Boston Celtics
