I'm so proud of myself right now! It has been so long that I've been this proud of myself! I think the last time was 2 years, 5 months and 6 days ago. Why am I blabbering on and on about being proud of myself? Because of this right here!

My Heart Hurts
2008-03-09 17:25:00
Something has ben on my mind for a few days now, and I've just got to get it off my chest. Recently, in a conversation with my e-husband, he said that I had left him for another man. I think that was one of the most painful things he ever could have said to me... Other than when he had a mutual friend call me and ask me if I ever considered myself a whore (a story for another time).  I can understand why he would think that. Truly, I do, but it wasn't the case. Towards the end of our relationship, I found out my dad's side of the family lived in Oregon, in a small town called Drain. They all wanted to see both myself and Bug, since they hadn't seen her yet. On top of that, my dad and step mother would be moving there soon also, so I decided that I needed a chance to go and visit them all and clear my head. The Ex and I were arguing on an almost regular basis, yelling and such at each other. I needed to take a break and get my head together and figure out what I should do....

A warning - if you can't stand the first five, stop reading! They get worse! 1. Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent. 2. A jumper cable walks into a bar. The bartender says, "I'll serve you, but don't start anything." 3. Two peanuts walk into a bar and one was a salted. 4. A dyslexic man walks into a bra... 5. A man walks into a bar with a slab of asphalt under his arm and says: "A beer for me please, and one for the road." 6. "Doc, I can't stop singing 'The Green, Green Grass of Home.' "That sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome." "Is it common?" "Well, 'It's Not Unusual.'" 7. Two cows are standing next to each other in a field. Daisy says to Dolly, "I was artificially inseminated this morning." "I don't believe you," says Dolly. "It's true, no bull!" exclaims Daisy. 8. An invisible man marries an invisible woman. The kids were nothing to look at either. 9. Deja...

Wand Update
2008-03-09 10:38:00
Well... My wand is looking good, except it's stuck at about halfway done. I need to saw off the nubs and the end, which isn't going to happen until I get a hold of a hand saw, which isn't probably won't happen for awhile, so for now I've got a random stick floating around and every time I see it, I hear the words "finish me" in my head. I must admit, it's making me feel a little nuts, lol.

What Makes a Parent a Good Parent?
2008-03-08 09:58:00
In a conversation with my mom today, we began talking about something that happened with on of my cousins. I'm not going to say who is it, or what happened, because this person is my cousin, and I love them and would never purposely do something that I know would hurt them. Especially this particular cousin. Well, in the conversation, my mom and I got into the topic of parent and what makes a good parent a good parent. It reminded me of when I got pregnant with Bug. People kept telling me I was to young to have a baby, even after Ki was born, I kept over hearing people talking about how I must be a bad parent because I'm so young. And it made me think back to high school. Women used to give birth at 14 back in the 1600 and 1700s... In the 1800s, the average age for a women to become a mother had risen to 16. So what does age have to do with parenting? Nothing. I went to high school with 17 year old who were better parents then their 40 year old parents. I think that the single t...

I totally forgot to mention this! I decided yesterday that along with searching for a job, reading blogs, and working with Photoshop, I am also going to be working more intently on my religion and spirituality. I've been working a bit with herbs, nothing to big, and yesterday I began my wand. James and I went for a walk yesterday and I happened to pass by a branch. Now, this branch was nothing special, slightly cracked, stubs all over it, to be honest, it was a slightly ugly branch. I stripped the bark off and then under it the was a dark layer of skin, kinda... Forgive me, I'm not a tree scientist or anything like that, lol. Well, under the dark layer of skin, I found a nice light colored wood. I sanded it down and took a break about halfway through the sanding and went to sleep. I started back on it this morning. Stripping away the skin, and sanding, over and over until I had a good 16 inches of it roughly sanded. I did a little more sanding just to smooth out the rough edges,...

Finally!
2008-03-07 20:04:00
So, The Ex finally took care of business and I was able to pick up the money gram transfer on the 5th. The Boy got his refund on the 6th, and my money order from the bank should arrive within the next week or so, maybe even sooner, which would be great. I still need to file my fed refund, I've been slacking on that, I need to get some help from my mom about a form... In fact, I'll probably be calling her pretty soon after finishing this up. The Ex decided to claim bug on his refund, so that he could get the EIC for her, which legally he can't do, because she didn't live with him for over 6 months of the year. He tried to say that it's for the fiscal year, which is from October to October, but according to what I've been reading, it's from January to December. He only lived with us till May of 07, and didn't even live there for all of May, so I've got to report that so that I can claim her, which sucks, but it's his own fault, IMHO. Well, I'm off for now, my wrists are ...

OMG CAKE!
2008-03-04 15:49:00
Well, mini cakes... Cup cakes, some like to call em... As you can see by the cute kitty cake clip I posted, I love cake. Doesn't mater what size they are, I love them! And almost as much as I love eating cake, I love baking it! What am I rambling furiously about? Cass, over at Cass Knits! is holding a contest for THIS, and I want it badly. So incredibly badly. With my new diet, I doubt I'll be using it before Kiana gets back, but soon she'll be old enough to help mommy bake, and I would love for her first baking experience to be something adorable like the bumblebee on the cover of the book. I sure don't want any competition, but go enter it! No reason not to give it a go!!!

Getting Healthy
2008-03-03 19:35:00
James and I have been talking a lot lately about what we're going to do in life. Both separately and together. We're both planning on going to school, he's going to go first while I work to save money, and get us a place and get Ki back up here, then once he's done 2 or 4 years, I will go to school while he works, or we will both do school and work part time. We haven't quite decided on that yet... Well, we got into talking about having a family. Kiana isn't his, but he says that if Chris steps out of line and decides not to parent, he's going to completely take over with her. But then we got into talking about having a baby of our own, giving Ki a little brother or sister, of course, we're both hoping that when the time comes, it'll be a boy. Two girls... Wow, they'd be a couple of Daddy's Girls for sure. But it got me thinking, you know? I'm overweight as it is. I'm comfortable with my body, but I don't want my little girl (or girls) growing up being ashamed of my...

The Waiting Game
2008-03-01 01:17:00
Well, Monday I handed out 3 resumes, Tuesday and Wednesday I filled out some online applications, since I had no ride around town, Thursday I handed out another 6 resumes. All there is to do now is wait. Out of all the places I've handed in resumes and that I am hoping to get a job, the liquor store is my favorite. It's a very laid back atmosphere and the ladies who work there are all very friendly and a blast to talk to. I also got my first check from my PTC sites recently. Well, maybe not so recently, it was back in January, but then I lost the check. I found it a few days ago and thought I'd post it for you guys to check out. From Cash Crate. I know it's not huge, but hey, an extra check always helps! (yes mom, this means you have to sign up now :P) As you can see, they have a pretty low minimum payout. Let me know if you're interested in any info. You can sign up using my referral link, and I'm pretty sure you'll receive a free referral bonus of $5, which gets you...

It Was Time For A Makeover
2008-02-29 01:03:00
I added some new gadgets to the side bar, and thought it might be best if I ran you through them all! I added a couple of things with Adsense, just so that I can maybe make some extra cash. Nothing much to explain there. I also added a Pay Per Post direct button. Click on it, and you'll see a form pop up. If you fill that form out, I'll write a blog post about your product or company. Yet again, just another way to generate a little extra income and some publicity to the site. Now for the big stuff. As I'm sure you all know, there are multiple ways to get in touch with me, all accessible through this page. As you can see, to the left under my Twitter status box is a box labeled 'Contact The Author' in this box you can find my E-Mail and IM addresses, as well as chat with me, using my Meebo Chat Box, and place a call to my web voice mail service. A nifty little chat box. Like a mini chat room. This button will automatically start a chat with me through google talk. Even...

Would YOU Look Good as a Blond?

I've been getting pretty decent at it, if I do say so myself... And I do! Send me pictures to mess with! Please please please!!!

Gimme My Money!
2008-02-24 01:56:00
Good ol' fraud, right? I had a fraudulent withdrawl of damn near $100 and the a fraudulent deposit made, so the bank closed my account... WITH MY MONEY IN IT! WITHOUT SAYING "Hey, we need to close your account, can you come get your money?" Or anything along those lines! They just closed it up! Put all my money into a nifty little money order on the 6th of February and sent it out. It's the 23rd of the month now... And my money order still hasn't shown up.My landlord, AKA my fiance's step father, who's a cranky bastard anyway, is even crankier because he hasn't received any rent since the beginning of this month. No rent money, no electric bill payment, nothing. While I understand why he's unhappy about it, there's no reason for him to be a dick to the people he's being a dick to. It's not like we're paying everyone but him. My cell phone is shut off, along with mine and James' World of Warcraft account. Which means the times when we can't look for jobs are filled with...

Page 123 Meme
2008-02-14 05:10:00
Rebecca, over at Writer's Round About invited her readers to join her in the Page 123 Meme . It's an interesting concept, and intrigued me to give it a go for some fun. Will it add insight to a current situation, or a laugh that is well needed? Lets find out.1- Pick up the nearest book. This is the omnibus, His Dark Materials, Written by Philip Pullman. It is the trilogy combining The Golden Compass and it's two sequels, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass. I finished it back in December, but it has been sitting next to my laptop ever since then.2- Open to page 123.3-Find the fifth sentence.4- Post the next 3 sentences. The ship's stores were searched for oilskins that could be cut down for her, and Jerry showed her how to sew, an art she learned willingly from him, though she had scorned it at Jordan and avoided instruction from Mrs. Lonsdale. Together they made a waterproof bag for he alehiometer that she could wear around her waist, in case she fell in the sea, she said. ...

Who's ready for a baby?
2008-01-29 22:44:00
I AM I AM!!! Well, kinda. I am going into the doctor next week about implantation for Jessica and her husband. They are really nice, and just the kind of people I'd love to help have a family. Apparently there are lots of different ways to do this, and we're hoping I can hop right into it without having to go through months and months of hormone treatments. I'm pretty excited, if you couldn't tell, lol! I'll be updating frequently, of course. We are all hoping for a girl, them, because they both have visions of a punk rock princess in their heads. They've shown me tons of awesome clothes they want to get her, haha. Why am I hoping for a girl? Well, honestly, it's because I'm just not quite ready to have my face peed on by someone else's kid. Not gonna happen. Of course, we've decided that Jessica will be in the delivery room with me, and she will also stay in the hospital room, unless I get bratty and need James there (hospital room, not delivery, he's not ready for that)...

Scary Stuff Goin On That You Probably Don't Know About
2008-01-19 06:57:00
Ok, so James watched this movie called Zeitgeist... Scariest shit I've ever seen. The first part is stuff that I already knew very much about, but the rest? Wow. We've been doing some research (well, he's done the majority of it) and there is a LOT of stuff going down behind the scenes right now. Check out Dark Secrets: Inside Bohemian Grove. Also, take the time to look at some of these searches that I've done for you.Real IDIlluminati New World OrderNorth American UnionThis is scary stuff, and despite what some say about it being a bunch of foolish conspiracy theories, it's happening now. Make sure you're educated about this. The presidential election is coming up soon. Lets make this election count.

Lots of Interesting Things Happening Lately...
2008-01-15 01:09:00
Ok... So... I can't really put much of an order into this large list, so I'm just gonna spew.Recieved a phone call from a woman who wants to sue me. Why? Because my Yuwie profile has a non Christian layout... Wait... WHAT? First of all... Did this chick really spend the money to track me down because she's religiously offended by my layout? Second of all... What the hell kind of money does she hope to get out of me for having a pagan style layout? THIS should be interesting. What else? Well, I'm trying to get pregnant. No, not me and my bf, me and another couple. I'm approved for surrogacy, which is really awesome. I hope that I'll be able to give another family the most amazing gift ever.Last but not least, I am taking part in planning not 1, but TWO weddings. One of a friend of mine from out in GA. They want to get married in San Diego in June, so if you have any great locations or vendors, please, feel free to let me know. It's not easy to plan a wedding from a state away,...

My Trip To San Diego
2007-12-27 07:35:00
I went down to visit my family in San Diego from the 11th (well, I got there on the 13th) until the 18th and had a huge blast!I saw a beautiful bright red sunrise on my way down. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it before. The sky was blood red and reflected onto the lake below beautifully and gave a very mysterious and romantic aura. The night after I got there, I took my daughter and baby sis to the mall and we got Kiana's ears pierced... She wasn't happy about it, but it looks ADORABLE! Then we went to dinner at the corvette diner, which is my favorite place to eat with my lil sis in SD, and we goofed off for awhile. My daughter showed me she was a big girl by using the potty, hehe. Not so exciting for some, but awesome for me, lol. I couldn't believe how much she's grown up.My mom went and got a real tree, which was freakin HUGE! Me and my sis put it up (although she did most of the work, lol) and Kiana even helped a lil bit, lol.All in all i was a wonderful t...

Mmm Mmm, Retractions
2007-12-10 22:57:00
My first Blog to make retractions... Here goes...First off, I made my biggest mistake, something that I learned to do in Elementary School. I didn't Proof Read. Haha. No Biggie, right? WRONG! After my mother, who is one of the closest people to me, called me crying, hurt, and offended, I decided to do so and realized that my mother had good reason to feel that way. For those of you who read this thinking I saw my mother as a horrible parent, or saw my father as a better parent than my mom, that's not the way of it at all.My mother did illegal things, yes. She raised me Christian, yes. But what I didn't convey correctly was that my mother did illegal things so that she could have the money to feed myself and my little sister and to give us money for the things we needed also. She raised me Christian, which was not, and is not where my problem lies with that. Christian values, straight out of the bible are for all intents and purposes the same values as all other religions. I wasn...

Coming out of the Broom Closet
2007-12-10 06:44:00
I'll be going back to San Diego for the first time since I've come out of the Broom Closet . I think it is very good for me and I plan to do a lot of witchy stuff with my daughter while I'm visiting. I'm slightly worried about how the family will take it, since I'm sure I'll be seeing all of them... Or at least most of 'em. I also plan to make it known that my daughter will be raised Pagan , and will be educated in all religions to the best of my ability, but that no one, myself included, will choose her religion for her.Back when I was a kid, I had no choice but to be Christian. Even when my mom was dealing and stealing. Lying and being a hypocrite. I had to be "Christian". Hah! How do you choose someone's religion for them??? How do you have any right to tell someone that they're religion is not the "right" way to live? I mean, think about it... The point of every religion is to treat others with respect and love, right? "An ye harm none, do as ye will" "Love thy neighbor a...

The many Roles I play...
2007-12-10 05:45:00
Daughter. Sister. Friend . Girlfriend . Mother . Ex-wife. Pagan. Black Woman. This is my blog. My journal. My story. These are the different parts of me, all of which you will encounter.Daughter: I was born November 25th, 1985 to Eden and Terry Campbell. I was raised by my mom most of my life with a little bit of alternative help from my dad. What is alternative help? Alternative help is the way my dad gave me values. Instead of taking the stern parenting approach, he took more of a friendly big brotherly, "Disneyland daddy" (what my mom always called him) approach. An Example: When I was 16 my father and I had "the talk" you know... the birds and the bees. It went like this...Dad: Do you smoke? Me: No.Dad: Do you drink? Me: NoDad: Are you havin sex? Me: No.Dad: Well, when you do... Use a rubber.Sister: I've been a sister since the day I was born. A baby sister to Marcell and LaTonya. They watched over me and loved me since I was born. I've been a big sister for not as long, but just...
