Creating Your Own Private Halloween Party
2007-10-07 16:09:00
If you believe Halloween fun is just for the kids, you lack imagination! The truth be told this one of the best holidays for adults to get wacky, a little wild and even quite bold. It's also a high time for romance if you know how to play your cards right.                                                                                                        At the top of my list of ways to celebrate this special holiday is throwing my own masquerade ball. There's a caveat to this plan though. I don't invite throngs of guests. My list is pretty simple – just my sweetheart and myself. To put together a private Halloween party that will ...

Scaring Up A Great Halloween Gift
2007-10-05 18:13:00
Halloween parties can present a big quandary when it comes to ideal host or hostess presents to bring. I've found a great way around this that works every time. Instead of wine, beer, champagne or other treats, my favorite way to go now is to find Halloween theme gift baskets that suit the host or hostess in question. As I was trying to find a perfect gift for an upcoming party, I came across the neatest basket. This one has all the right stuff to not only add to the party fare, but also plenty of keepsake gifts that will remain long after the premium candies are gone. Dubbed "How Do You Boo?," my big find includes a spook-tacular 15-inch Halloween Ghost candle and even some fun and funky ghost eyeglasses. The benefits of this kind of gift over traditional party fare are many. The biggest, of course, is the fact that chances are no one else is going to bring anything similar along. This in and of itself is a big perk for Halloween theme gift baskets, but there are othe...

Making Halloween Magic for 2
2007-10-03 18:19:00
There's no rule that says Halloween magic is reserved for those 18 and under. In fact, the timing is perfect for a little adult one-on-one.                                                                                                              Show your lady you're a real magic man this Halloween by creating a special surprise just for her eyes. Transform a private room into your own wizard's chambers and invite her in for a night of serious prestidigitation. To get you started here are some tips from my secret list of romantic ideas: The invitation. You have to invite your lady over in style to ensure she's dre...

Fabulous His and Hers Halloween Costume Ideas
2007-10-01 16:14:00
Smart adults know there's a whole lot more to Halloween than just ghosts, goblins and things that go bump in the night ?????? or there can be! This is the perfect time of year for couples to have a little fun, get a little crazy and do their own trick-or-treating. When getting into the holiday spirit is the desire, there are some fantastic ways for couples to dress to the nines for party time (and a little private play time later).                                                                                                                            One of my favorite ways...

Spook-tacular Halloween Gift Ideas
2007-09-27 16:27:00
I got my passion for halloween in a rather honest way.  My kooky friends are absolutely nots for this holiday.  They love everything about it.  From the dressing up and handing out of candy right down to the classic spook moves and particularly all the chocolates they can devour. My trick or treating companions are so overboard about Halloween that they've been known to create their own elaborate "Haunted House" in a garage.  They would then assume the roles of ghosts, goblins and ghouls and help give chocolates and cookies to visitors brave enough to venture closer for the scare of their lives. It should come as no surprise that my cronies and I are always trying to one-up each other by finding incredible, unique Halloween gifts and gift baskets or spooky decor to add to our collections.  we take gift ideas for Halloween pretty darn serious.  It's turned into a competition of sorts. This year, I think I'll win the biggest "WOW"...

Scaring Up The Right Gift For the Halloween Party Hostess
2007-09-25 19:21:00
Halloween is one of my favorite times of year. The weather is to die for (no pun intended), the scenery is spectacular and the parties that come before, on and after the big day kick off the fun for the holiday season that's to come. The only problem I've run into is trying to decide what is appropriate to bring along as a thank you gift for the party hosts and hostesses. After all, a gift is the customary and polite thing to do to thank whoever is throwing a bash. But, Halloween isn't necessarily the most customary of holidays. Through the years, I've come to the conclusion that almost anything goes ?????? based on the party at hand. What I do now is take the party's theme to heart and select a gift that she (or he) can use on the spot that will add a little fun, practicality or ambiance to the event. In some cases, I include a little extra to give the hosts something special to use after the guests have gone home to thank them for their trouble in putting together the ba...

Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas Are Fast Approaching
2007-09-23 19:30:00
For the creative couple, the holiday season signals a peak time for crafting beautifully romantic memories and dreaming up personal traditions that can play out passionately year after year. Making your own special traditions is not only a wonderful way to bond as a couple, it can offer a seductive zing to your relationship! Between October and January, the opportunities for devising personal traditions are almost endless. From Halloween right on through New Year's, each special day can become one you own together. My favorite holiday traditions I won't share with just anyone include: The Halloween Hiatus. Insist on taking a break from adulthood on this day. Dress up for the occasion, hand out candy to the kids, wait for the traffic to pass and the evening's festivities to die down and then enjoy your own special party with the lights turned down low. Unwrapping the costumes for the real treats inside is the best part!Turkey Day Retreat. Thanksgiving is about fami...

Making A Blind Date A Blast
2007-09-21 16:08:00
I have a lot of friends who stay away from blind dates out of fear they're going to be fixed up with a toad instead of a princess (or prince). The fact of the matter is that blind dates can actually be a whole lot of fun. This is, of course, if you know how to handle the prospect well. If the opportunity is looked at as an adventure ?????? one that offers mystery and intrigue ?????? the entire concept becomes much more palatable. While it's true you might find yourself with a frog instead of a fairytale character lead, this is not generally the case. There are some rules of the road for accepting and going on blind dates. I've personally met quite a few wonderful ladies in this manner, but it does pay to be a little discriminating along the way. Here are my best tips for making blind dates a blast: Be choosy. While mystery is absolutely one of the biggest thrills that goes along with blind dating, make sure the person who fixes you up really knows your personality. If th...

Tips For Sharing Bedroom Fantasies
2007-09-18 16:10:00
We all have a bedroom fantasy or two we'd love to play out sometime during our lives. Getting up the gumption to actually share those fantasies with a lover, however, is easier said than done. I have found that sharing some of my deep, dark and sensual secrets is a great way to develop a more profound level of intimacy in a relationship. When a guy or lady is willing to say what is on their mind in the bedroom, a relationship gains depth and even a new level of excitement. If she (or he) knows you feel comfortable enough to share, it can produce some amazing results. Still, I must admit, sharing those inner fantasies is not necessarily easy to do in everyday conversation. Here are some ideas for breaking the ice and making the sharing of fantasies flow a little more freely:Set the stage. One of the best places to actually share bedroom fantasies is in the bedroom. Set the stage for sharing by making the environment welcoming, romantic and even a little light-...

Reel Your Romeo In For A Sensual Massage
2007-09-10 16:09:00
There's just something very titillating about a sensual massage. The gentle caressing, the feel of a lover's skin under your hands and the intimacy involved all combine to drive some people wild. Whether the act leads to something more or ends with a gentle kiss, the personal attention and pampering is something the ladies just adore. Unfortunately, a lot of my lady friends tell me they have an incredibly difficult time getting their guys to go in for sensual massages. They love to receive them themselves, of course, but they fall down on the job in the giving department. It is my stand that these guys just don't know what they're missing! While I'm a big fan of giving and receiving sensual massages, I have come up with a few ideas to help the ladies out there reel their own personal Romeo s in for giving sensual massages. Here are some of my best suggestions, ladies. I hope they work for you! Set the mood. Open your guy to the prospect of giving a sensual massage ...

Acting Out Big-Screen Bedroom Fantasies
2007-09-05 15:06:00
We all manage to get ourselves in a rut in the bedroom once in a while. What once was passion melts into routine. No matter how hot the fires once burned, smoldering just seems to result at one time or another. Don't let this happen! Breaking this cycle quickly and efficiently can help spice up your love life and keep your partner coming back for more. One of my favorite ways to break the routine, or stop it from forming in the first place, is to be rather frank and open about my bedroom fantasies. I encourage my partner to do the same. Role playing is my absolute favorite. I'm not talking playing doctor here either. (But, you can if that sparks the fires!) My passion lies in acting out big-screen romances. Having her play Scarlett to my Rhett or Ilsa Lund to my Rick Blaine in a "Casablanca" recreation is just the thing to get my engines revving. Ooh, la la!  You get the idea! While big-screen romances and dressing in costumes might not be your passion, the...

Turn Your Labor Day Into A Labor of Love
2007-09-01 14:13:00
Labor Day presents the perfect opportunity to show your lady love or knight in shining armor just how much you appreciate their labors on your behalf. Whether you've just recently started dating or you've been married for decades, this special Monday is ripe for bidding a fond adieu to summer and saying hello to romance. Take advantage of the fair weather while you can by planning a romantic picnic for two in a remote, but picturesque location. Should the weather happen to sour on you, bring your picnic indoors with flowers, a blanket and the living room floor. Just don't miss out on the opportunity for romance this holiday really presents! Now, I know what you guys are thinking. Labor Day means barbecues, beer, college football and the boys. But, really now, what is really going to drive your engine more – beer and the guys or your sweetie, a bottle of champagne and a romantic location just right for two? Plus, just think of the points you'll score in you...

Kids Don't Have To Spell Dating Disaster
2007-08-28 15:08:00
I've been asked quite a few times lately what my policy is on dating women who have children at home. To be perfectly honest, I'm more than open to the idea. While I must admit, I have several friends who sit on the shallow side of the fence; I'm just not one of those guys. It has been my experience that single moms are just as much fun to date, if not more so, than women who don't have kids. Let me tell you why. Dati ng a gal (or a guy for you ladies out there) who happens to have kids at home might not be easy, but there are some major perks to the proposal. The first is perhaps the best. It is very easy to gauge what kind of lady you're thinking of getting involved with when she has kids. If she treats them well and puts them first, you've got a good one. Now, don't get me wrong. I love to have fun, and a lot of it. But, I do have a serious, responsible side, too. I just love a lady who can kick up her heels, but not lose sight of the more important things in life....

Making Your Own Fireworks On The 4th Of July
2007-06-25 14:00:00
There's no reason why the skies outside should be the only place that fireworks light up the night this 4th of July . Bringing the fun indoors and into the bedroom is easy, creative and just saucy enough to be spectacular! Creating your own intimate 4th of July celebration is fun, easy and a true delight to pull off. Let the patriotic spirit guide you as you show your true colors. There are some great ideas to bring the fireworks display inside. Some of these are just right for the ladies, others are perfect for both the ladies and the guys out there. For the ladies: Dress up in a red, white and blue negligee and nothing more to get your man to stand up and salute! Find a long, slinky robe in patriotic colors and wear little else under it. Watch his eyes light up the night when he discovers your secret. Celebrate your love for man and country by dreaming up a little strip tease to a favorite patriotic tune. For both: Whip up a patriotic dessert. Dye whipping cream o...

Let's Get Down To Business - TAKE IT ALL OFF!
2007-06-20 15:54:00
Dim the lights, turn on the music and begin your sensuous striptease.  It's slow, seductive and guaranteed to turn on even the most inhibited paramour. The origins of this most sensual of dances might be often debated, but the truth is the act itself is almost never overrated. Nothing says come hither quite like a spontaneous, private strip tease performance for your lover – Ooh La La!.  It's fun, seductive and perfect for creating a high charged romantic mood.  It's seductive. And, it's just plain perfect for creating the mood. Yes ladies, you will drive your guys to distraction!  Even you guys can do a male strip tease and really turn on your lady's flames of passion. The art of the striptease is actually one that dates back to Babylonia.  A prime example is Salome's dance of the seven veils, performed for King Herod.  But whatever the heritage, there's nothing quite like it to get your lover's engines revving. Enti...

Beware! Don't Date A Married Guy Or Gal
2007-06-18 13:36:00
Dating can be hard. There's no denying this fact for many. Sometimes it might even feel like finding the right guy or gal is overwhelmingly difficult. But settling for the wrong one isn't the answer either. One thing I know for sure is that dating a married person is the wrong way to go!                                                                                                      If you've set yourself up to be the "other man" or the "other woman," you've very likely set yourself up for a fall. You are simply looking for love in all the wrong places.  It might seem exciting or fun to be the "other" right ...

Father's Day - Hole in 20 Daddy!
2007-06-16 17:33:00
My friend's dad recently retired from a 30-year career and moved into a golf course community. He says his only regret in life was never learning to play golf like his friends did. They have a great retirement hobby and he doesn't. So, he set out to fix that. The whole tale has sort of turned out like a bad credit card commercial: 1 retirement party, $500; 1 golf course residence, $300,000; Mr. Simmons on the golf course – absolutely priceless hysteria. Seriously, he's so bad on the golf course, his friends go out of their way to get out of a round with him. What would take a "beginner" a few hours to play takes my friend's dad a whole day! It's our guess that he thinks golf skills are learned by osmosis. Since he now lives near great golfers – he must be one. Right?  WRONG! This poor guy spends day in and day out on the links slicing, hitting sand traps and generally just playing so far over par the old couple from "Caddyshack" would be ...

What Is This Thing Called "Love"?
2007-06-14 17:23:00
Often I sit alone and wonder about the meaning of love.  Is an urgent desire to touch and caress another person love?  Am I in love if I another person's rescuer and am always available to help them solve their problems and fears?  We have so many common interests - are we in love?  What is this feeling called "Love "? Being in love is such as wonderful place to be but how can people be "in love" and then fall out of it so fast? What is it that makes some couples endure through decades and still find themselves tenderly holding hands in public and even stealing kisses when they think no one is looking? Well folks, after some research I discovered that it's all about science. That's right. There's a science behind being "in love".  American psychologist Robert Sternberg has a theory about the three components of love. When all three components are present in a relationship, love tends to grow and last. When only one or...

Don't Sit Home Alone - Have a Blast With Online Dating!
2007-06-13 16:17:00
Years ago, anyone who participated in online dating was considered either a desperate or freak individual.  But times have changed.  Nowadays, online dating is an ever increasing means to meet that special someone.  Online dating works especially well for shy, introverted, stay at home types who would not frequent the club or bar scene or don't hang around the produce aisle at the supermarket hoping to catch the eye of someone interesting.  Even for people who are gregarious, online dating presents an expanded opportunity to meet more people. The major advantage of online dating is the opportunity to input your background, age, personality traits and areas of interest into a questionnaire so you can be matched with a compatible person.  You are then able to sift through the list of availables from the privacy of your home and decide who to contact.  From there, you can advance to telephone communication.  You will be able to hear the voice o...

Fishing for Father's Day Fun
2007-06-12 13:47:00
There's just something about dropping a line in a crystal, clear lake and waiting for a bite that just reels some guys in. Perhaps it's the serenity of the scene, or maybe it's just the thrill of hooking them and cooking them that draws them in. Either way, my grandfather's one of those guys. He's one of those fishermen that would rather be in a canoe with a rod and reel than riding in a Rolls Royce with champagne and caviar. He's so in love with the sport, he still wakes up before the sun like clockwork every Saturday morning to cast a line. Grandma's so used to the routine, she has a picnic basket waiting for him on the table when he wakes up! When I was younger, he'd take me out on the lake and share some whopper tales about the ones that got away and some that didn't. I'm still not sure which ones were true! Old Green Scales – the biggest bass in the lake – still escapes him. We've spotted him a few times, but we've never been able to reel him in. Someti...
