2007-06-06 15:17:00 This is Sammy the Surf Dog and this is my Daily Outer Banks Surf Report .Mornin Surfin Dude and Dudette Peoples. Today the waves is pretty flat, they is only about Knee High and Glassy and the wind is not really blowin much; the weather channel man says its suppose to be comin from the Northwest at 10 to 15 mph, but right now it comin from the West at about 5 mph. My Mommas said that today will be a really bad surfin day.Cos there is no waves we have a low risk of rip currents along area beaches today, but you should be careful anyway cos you never know when a rip current will get you. I got got by a rip current once and my Momma and another surfin dude had to swim out and save me from almost drownin... Almost drownin is not very much fun and it is also pretty scary, I was glad my Momma saved me cos I didn't want to be dead on the beach like an old stinky dead fish you know, so you better be careful like I am now.The weather here today is suppose to be nice;we are going to have part... 2007-06-05 15:50:00 This is Sammy the Surf Dog and this is my Daily Outer Banks Surf Repo rt .Mornin Surfin Dude and Dudette Peoples.Today my surfin report is a little late cos my momma was up all night cos my baby kids was cryin all night, momma says she thinks maybe they is getting a teeths and that makes them cranky. I hided in my box so I could sleep cos they was pretty noisy ( I think my Momma should give them baby kids a squeaky toy to chew on cos that made my teeths feel better when I was a puppy). Then momma also had to go to the people vet cos of her hurt leg, so we didn't get to look at the waves till late. But when we finally went to the beach to look at the waves they was only knee high and semi choppy and the wind was blowin from the West at about 10 to 15 mph, so I guess there was no rush for us to get there cos these waves are not very good surfin waves and Momma says we probably won't have any good surfin waves till maybe this weekend. Growing Babies and Grass in the Outer Banks
2007-06-04 17:47:00 I imagine some of my readers are wondering what the Girls and I have been up to of late and it been a while since I posted anything about what is going on with us.Well not really all that much really, we survived Tropical Storm Barry, who was mostly just a one day big rain event.I'm still out of the water and not surfing yet because of the knee injury I sustained last month. The knee is getting better; the doctor has me going to physical therapy a couple times a week . I am off the crutches now so that makes my life a bit easier and I'm hoping to be back in the water soon.The Debs and I went on a road trip to her sisters Graduation from Old Dominion University up in The Tidewater Saturday and managed to even squeeze in some MacArthur Mall time so I could go on a bit of a baby clothes shopping spree for the girls.Halie and Kyma are growing so fast that I'm having a hard time keeping them in clothes; shirts and pants that seemed to fit good one day show the girls belly's the ... 2007-06-04 11:55:00 This is Sammy the Surf Dog and this is my Outer Banks Surfin Repo rt .Mornin Surfin Dudes and Dudettes Peoples. Yesterday we had a really big storm named Tropical Storm Barry come here to the Outer Banks and it maked the waves really big and wild but they are not like that today. My Momma and I just comed back from the beach were we seed the waves were waist to chest high and pretty glassy with some nice lines and a pretty good right hand break. I think the waves are good cos the wind is blowin from the West South West at 15 to20mph. My Momma said these are very nice surfin waves but was kind of surprised how fast the waves had dropped in size from yesterday and she thinks if your gonna go surfin you better do it pretty fast cos the waves maybe gone pretty soon.Today if you do go surfin you better watch out for rip currents cos the guy on the radio this mornin said there is a high risk for them along area beaches today, and you don't want to be drowned by a rip current cos then you... It was really raining hard just a little bit ago cos the big storm called Tropical Storm Barry is gettin here now. The wind is also startin to blow pretty hard. Right now it is blowin at 20 mph from the Southeast and the lady on the Weather Channel said its going to blow even harder latter on becoming south 25 to 35 this afternoon. What that means for you surfin peoples is thats the waves are currently breaking at waist to chest high, but they are pretty choppy. My momma says that today the waves may get bigger but they will probably not be very good for surfin cos they will stay pretty choppy.
