2007-05-31 13:43:00 This is Sammy the Surf Dog and this is my Surfin report.Mornin Surfin Dude and Dudette Peoples. We have some waves today that are Knee to Thigh High and Semi-Glassy that I started seeing yesterday afternoon and that were still hanging around this morning when momma and I went walkin on the beach. Right now these wave are breaking right up on the shore but my momma says that the waves will get better for surfin latter on today when the tide starts to goes out. So all of you surfin people should be really happy that you don't have to go get a job today at the Brew Thru giving me dog cookies now cos there are some waves for you to surf.The weather today is gonna be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 70s and Southeast winds will be blowin around 10 mph. 2007-05-30 12:36:00 This is Sammy the Surf Dog and this is my Surfin report.Mornin Surfin Dude and Dudette Peoples. You surfin people are gonna be pretty happy today cos we have some little waves here this mornin. Now these wave are pretty little, only ankle to knee high and kind of choppy (cos the wind is comin from the East South East at 5 to 10 mph), but these are more waves then we have seen in a couple of days. My Momma says you could probably go surfin later today if you have a longboard. Our weather is still pretty nice here, it is gonna be mostly sunny today with highs in the mid 70s, but later the wind is gonna pick up and be blowin from the Northeast at 10 to 15 mph. The water is starting to get nice and warm now; Duck Pier had 69 degrees, Oregon Inlet had 75, Avon pier reported 71 degrees, and Hatteras Island pier reported 64 degrees, but you might still want to wear your 3/2 wet suit when you are surfin today, cos surfin people don't have fur like surfin dogs do and you might get cold wit... I was out on the beach early again this mornin with my Momma and for yet another mornin we didn't see any waves that you could surf; It was maybe Ankle High and Glassy with the wind blowin in from the West at 5 to 10 mph, but it was very pretty watching the sun rise with my Momma. I don't know what all of you surfin people is gonna do with yourselves , cos Momma says that there probably won't be any waves that you can surf till maybe Wednesday or Thursday. Well you can't go surfin here in the Outer Bank s again today cos there are no waves again, it's Flat, and Glassy with a West Southwest wind blowin in at 10 to 15 mph, but it will be another nice day to do other stuff on the beach cos the weather is perfect. If you do go to the beach make sure you bring lots of water cos it will be 85 later today and that will make you thirsty. You need to bring water with you cos sea water is yucky to drink when you get thirsty and will make you throw up if you drink it.But if you can't go surfin, you can go swimin cos the water temperatures are pretty nice for swimin. If you are on the south end of the Outer Banks the water is really nice... Oregon Inlet had 77 degrees, Avon pier reported 70 degrees, and Hatteras Island pier reported 63 degrees. I was walkin out on the beach really early with my momma this mornin, but we didn't see any waves, cos it's flat and glassy with a West Southwest wind blowin at about 10 mph, so you can't go surfin here in Nags Head again today. Maybe you could go to Hatteras Island if you want to surf. Momma doesn't think there is going to be any waves there either, but I think we should go in the truck to look, cos I like ridin in the truck.But even if you can't surf, it is going to be a nice day to do other stuff on the beach like swim and look at dead stuff, but be careful that you don't burn your feets, the sand will be very hot cos it's going to be really sunny today. They're not very big, only maybe waist to stomach high, but the lines are clean and glassy. This is cos the winds are out of the South and hardly blowin at all (5mph). But my momma and her friend Kevin the Surf Forecast Guy say these waves will probably go away pretty soon , so you better go surfin now.Now here is some important stuff if you are a surfin people: Low tide will be at 9:31am; High tide will be at3:54pm; Sunrise was at5:51am; Sunset will be at 8:08pm and the water temperature is pretty warm, its like 65 degrees. Today the waves is waist high with an on-shore wind blowin from the East Southeast at 5 to 10 mph, that not very windy but cos it is comin in onshore it is makin the waves choppy (see how smart I'm gettin). My momma said that if she was gonna do surfin today she would like to see it not so choppy, but that she could surf these waves if she didn't have a hurt leg.
