Someone just told me about her real life experience with Mortgages . And let me I tell you it was one scary one.This person has got one mortgage on her house. She missed out on a few payments now and then but never really made it to bad credit status or anything like that. Now her kids needed money to set up a business and the only asset that is worth anything is her house. So to help her children, she agreed to put up her house for a second mortgage. Not really knowing how much she have repaid or not paid up, they approached another bank that did all the paperwork for the transfers and thought that they would walk away with around RM100,000 in cash. I just realised that as much I love this current template, it does not really works in IE7. You know how the "Categories" sort of retract into a tablike look, well it works perfectly in Firefox but it doest not retract back in IE and there is no way to sort of move it downwards in the arrangement. I have lots of categories so this will not work if it does not retract back into the tabs.Hmm.. I guess I'm on the lookout for another template soon... heheh.. what fun!...lolzzzCheerio...

I was watching Desperate Housewives the other day and I saw one of the characters on the show had this very beautiful mailbox. It's like a house and the roof opens to the mailbox inside. So cool as it really adds character to the front of the house.As I will be moving soon, I've looking to make the exterior of my house as nice and cozy and the interior so I am looking and I figured the first thing visitors see when they look at your house is the address plaques. I've always been a strong believer of insurance. When I was growing up, my father started an insurance policy for me with the intention of letting me continue the policy when I started working. It was an endowment policy so after it matured, I would be able to collect a lump sum.He also took up a policy for himself. He was already 45 years old at that time. He had no chronic disease so the premium was really affordable. It was also an endowment policy which would mature when he was 55. This was inline with his retirement funds coming out. He said it was a force savings as that time he was a hawker and had not contributed to the provident fund.Unfortunately he passed away at age fifty. He was unable to enjoy the maturity of the policy but what I can tell you is, the money really help mommy during that difficult period. Let's see.. if I had £25,500, the equivalent of RM121,595,45, what would I do? I don't even know how long it will take to raise that much money in savings and if I have that kind of discipline in the first place. Hahah..I am of course referring to the exchange rate between Malaysian and the US currency. Now that I am earning in US dollars, I really won't mind if the government reverted back to that 3.8 rate..lolzzz...I just made a withdrawal from my paypal account and guess what! The currency rate at Al-Rajhi bank was only RM3.16 to USD1.00!Oh well.. better than nothing right?.. I was watching Oprah the other day and she had a guest (Suze something) come in and talk about women and finances. She covered topics like how to get out of debts, credit card debts and in particular, mortgages and how to save up for the future. Lots of interesting questions were posed by the audience. The topic on mortgages was especially useful as I think a lot of people are confused over which mortgages to choose from. One of the things missing from my home office are lamps. For some reason, when I set up the room, I thought I only needed one main light fixture and that is like way up there on the ceiling. So when darkness hits or even why it just raining, the room gets really dark and when I am working or reading, I really need to adjust my sitting so that my reading materials don't fall on any shadows.This weekend I would probably get hubby to shop with me for some table lamps or desk lamps. I received an email today from Nuffnaggs letting members know of the crash of one of their hard disk's server. So don't panic if you do not see any ads these few days ok....
