I Miss TV!

It's been two weeks now since my Astro Dish fell to the ground floor during a thunderstorm and A has not gotten the the opportunity to grab the dish we have at his office because he's been so busy doing job outside the office. And no Astro dish means the technician can't come and install it which means no Astro for me :(I really missed watching tv and am really contemplating getting directv from directtv.com. It is so tempting especially since one of their digital satellite tv package gives out five months free subscription! What's more there are even more channels available to me than Astro could ever offer.The more I think about it, the more tv en direct is looking attractive to me. The year is coming to an end and the same way it is always good to reflect on the year before, it is also a good time to plan for next year. My usual practice is to study our expenditure for the previous year and set a budget for next year. Things that we can plan for are things like car and motorcycle insurance and road tax. Other things are to set budget for our wishlist. LOL!My list next year would include a LCD Monitor, Digital Camera and a new Camcorder to replace my very old Sharp camera. A lot of my friends collect stuffs. I have GP and her hubby who collects perfumes and HRC shot glasses respective. I have another who collects fridge magnets and then another who collects keychains. As for me, I think I just collect junks. lol!What I would like to collect (if I had money and it is not non-issue), I would love to buy gold stuff. Anything gold for that matter. I personally don't really fancy gold jewelery but collecting them would be totally different. I would buy gold coin and display them proudly in their very own special containers ;)Speaking of gold, if you are a collector yourself, where do you go to buy gold coins or to buy gold bullion or even buy bullion? If you read my other blog, you'll know that my hubby just lost his motorcycle's tires this evening. Some inconsiderate moronic cruel people with every malice in the world just decided that they loved hub's sports rim and want it for themselves. So they got some friends together, break the lights that was at the parking bay, did their thing and ran off with it leaving hub's motorbike just resting on it's fork with chains and everything else just dangling away!So poor hubs is now not only without his usual mode of transportation but also need to fork out more money for the lorry and replacement of the missing tires! He really needs to chill out and relax and cheer himself up. If only there was entertainment shows that we can tickets too like New York Jets Tickets or Jay Leno Tickets or even Bryce Jordan Center Tickets.Oh well.. I guess watching DVD would suffice for now.. Enough Room for Two

When I was living in Singapore, the idea of living in a landed property with my own front porch and backyard was something out of reach. This is because the Singapore property prices are so high! I mean I used to own a executive apartment, as they call it, with only 4 bedrooms that cost SGD303,000 and this was in 1997! For that price, converted to Malaysian ringgit, I could have owned a semi detached house with my own address plaques and wall address plaques too if I wanted one here.Anyway, I've always dreamed of living in a home with my own front porch and backyard and a nice address plaque and that dream came true after I got married and stayed here but after a while, the novelty wore off and I'm much happier now living in an apartment.. lol.. how ironic right? Before earning online, I did lots of odd jobs to earn from home. As you know I am on social visit pass here and as such am not supposed to work in the traditional way of going into the office from 9 to 5 kinda thing.One of the things that I did was to have my own tuition matching agency where parents will contact me and let me know of their tuition needs and I in turn would match the students up with a suitable tutor. Some parents and certain subjects like English and Maths are easy to match up but sometime students requiring for example Chemistry Tutoring will most likely need to wait a while before I can locate a suitable tutor. This is because there were not many Chemistry Tutor who are really qualified that I would recommend with an open heart. One thing about going back to Singapore is that, aside from not having internet, my mom also doesn't have cable tv. I've often offered to pay for the services but my mom simply refused saying that not only does she not have time to watch tv but also all those channels would only make her confused. So when I do go back to Singapore, not only do I not have internet access, I also missed watching all the regular shows that I do watch on cable tv.One solution that I thought of was to get a dial-up account with the local provider and since it would only cost me SGD5.30 a month, I reckon that is something that I can part with even though I won't be using it all the time. Then with that internet access, I could potentially subscribe to Direct TV that lets me have more channels to choose from. Now that our move is almost complete, it's time to think about expanding my online business. I guess any man is just like a little boy when it comes to big vehicles. I just found out from Azwaj that not only is he into garden equipment, but he is also into skid steer attachments, post hole digger and zero turn mowers and that if he has money to spend, he won't mind paying to operate those huge cranes as well for fun! hahaha...There are sites that sell them, rent them and even contract them out but I wonder if there are such places that you can go to ride this huge vehicles for fun. One thing about living in a condominium apartment is that everything is pretty uniform in all exterior facade. This is especially the case with your mail boxes.One funny thing happened to us after we move. We wanted to check the mailbox and went down to the common area. We searched through the list of our Residential Mailboxes and located our box. However the key won't fit! We tried and tried and gave up. The next day, we went to the same box and try again and once again the key won't fit. We were getting frustrated and then it hit me! We were opening the wrong box. There were so many mail boxes number that we got confused and instead of opening xxx-6-14x, we opened xxx-14-6x! Monkeys.. monkeys.. monkeys! They are everywhere at my new apartment. They come out at around 4pm and stay on till after 7.30pm looking for food to eat and playing among themselves. I don't mind them too much if they don't come up to the apartment but they do. Last encounter I had with them nearly made me pee in my pants as they were playing on the ledge of my corridor!I told Azwaj we probably need to install some form of Home Security Systems or Home Security Surveillance System to scare these creatures away. Something that would make noise upon close contact to scare them away if they were to come close to the our premises. Besides Home Security is always great so that whenever we leave the kitties home alone, we won't be worried for them.However Azwaj told me that, that plan may backfire as these monkeys are smart and may even be intrigue with sensor.. It's really been a while since me and A went on a holiday. The events these past few month plus our impending move have really been stressful and I could really use some time off from it all when this is all over. Now if you must know, A is not really the traveling kind. In fact he hates to travel so much so that in the last nine years that we've been married, he had only been to Singapore, my homeland, four whole times. I decided to advertise on Adgitize after reading their article on how to score 400 points daily on their program. Previously, before advertising I was earning meager points and as points translates to cash daily, I was earning meager cash too.True to their words, after paying USD14 for 31 days traffic, my points jumped from 140 points to 400 points daily and that, depending on the number of advertisers in the system, translates from a range of USD0.53 to USD0.91!I reckon with that amount I would breakeven on my monthly advertising fee for sure. In another two days time, I'm going to be in Singapore and I know for sure I will gain a few pounds, what with all the good food prepared by mommy dearest though sinfully rich in cholesterol and fat will for sure be delicious.
