with the colder months settling in, so has my arse on the couch.gone are the days of six, sometimes even seven days a week of workouts with sessions of cardio in the morning and weights at night. no longer is my butt sore from those neverending spin classes nor my legs wobbly from fart-inducing squats.i've stopped exercising all together.actually, i not so much fell off the training wagon, but crashed it, up-ended it and blew out the tires completely. i'm developing a nice layer of winter fat... and i couldn't care less.caramel popcorn, nachos, chips, ice cream and chocolates, my inner glutton is rejoicing. never been so less inclined to feel guilty for hoe-ing into bags of carbs, sugar and empty calories. bring on the feast.still, i know i'll have to get back into training.hate for summer to finally roll around and me along with it. extra padding will have to be whittled down before clothes do when temperatures begin to rise once again.although, if jimmy can step out in a pair ...

bleh: the punters post-the androids, pre-p!nkmelbourne has shown a lot of love for p!nk and it's been mutual.the talented and smart pop star played out her last melbourne concert last tuesday night to a completely appreciative and packed out audience.but before her, there was the support act.i don't know about you, but i feel for the guys and gals tasked to babysit the crowd before the main star comes on. often, they get the job done right. sometimes, they bomb all together. it's a tough gig.punk rock outfit, the androids, did their best to get the room rocking as they played a pretty solid set, but the punters didn't really get their music. the lead singer didn't help matters neither when he quipped that p!nk will fire their arses if the crowd weren't warmed up by the time she came out. he might have been joking, but dude, don't blame it on the audience.not sure if the rapturous applause at the end were for their kickarse final song or because they were leaving the stage. ei...

my parents' anniversary was last saturday. they're close to reaching that thirty year milestone. personally, i couldn't even imagine what that would be like, but i do know it's worth celebrating.they went on a weekend away. up north to the gold coast. bris vegas, as some aussies call it.and they spent it going on the theme parks. not romantic dinners, not day spas, not yatching nor cruising. just rides. the kind that would scare most adults their age.i think it's funny.when i called mum to find out what they'd been up to, she sounded positively giddy on the phone."your dad and i went on all these rides. the rollercoaster, the ferris wheel, even this log ride over the water. we got drenched. it was fun! what did you do?""not much."i spent the weekend working and doing house chores. no clubs, no parties, not even a bottle of beer. just a mop and a broom.my parents actually had a far more exciting weekend than i did.how funny.happy anniversary, you two!
