Goodbye All Over Again

Looking at these pictures, it sure seems that way. But it's great that I finally have them. ^.^ For those who are/have been away for a long time, get a good look at these pictures and try and spot the changes in everyone. Going home to Labuan for the weekend was a no go, as I had an interview on Saturday morning. How did it go? Well, I'll let you know... once the verdict's out. At the moment, I don't want to talk about it as I'm scared that I'll jinx it. And yet again, yesterday, I missed church. Sigh.Money too, is getting pretty tight. I've been having trouble managing my finances the last three months (read: I keep overspending!)... Plus, since Lionel's gone, the expenditures for household supplies is now being split between only two people. Just this month, we needed to replace the gas tank, which costed far more than we thought it would.Thinking things over, I need to make up for lost time - the 2 years of my life which I wasted, and place building my career ahead of everything else now. Not forgetting my long ignored spiritual life - let's just say that I'll be trying to work on both at the same time. Vanessa Hudgens, one of Disney's more prominent darlings of late, who's shot to fame was for her role of the sweet, brainy Gabriella on High School Musical, was recently embroiled in a scandal over nude photos of her being circulated on the net. She later confessed that it is indeed her, and she had taken the photos for the viewing pleasure of her boyfriend, Zac Efron, another star from High School Musical. Guess she's not so innocent, eh? On September 6, 2007, controversy erupted after nude photos of Hudgens surfaced online. A statement from her publicist claims that the photos were taken privately and it was "unfortunate" that they were released on the Internet. Hudgens later apologized, saying that she was "embarrassed over the situation" and regretted having "taken [those] photos". My mother left some time last week for her 20 days pilgrimage to Germany. The last news I received from her was when she was in Frankfurt, heading to Nurnberg & Prague on the next day. Makes me wonder how Dad, Desmond, and my cousin are handling their meals & household chores in Labuan while she's away.I finally called the apartment management about the annoying neighbour who turns on her air conditioning every night (no problem) which has been leaking onto my bedroom wall since early this year (big problem!). Even though they didn't come knocking on my door or called me with an update, they did get stuff done. I mean, what further evidence did they need? They can see the damage that's been done just by standing outside.The mysteriously fallen pipe has been fixed, and I suspect they told the neighbour to not use the air con, cause it's been three nights, and she hasn't used it at all. When I got this invitation over on Friendster, I wasn't interested. A few inquiries to friends if they had received the same message - to which they said no - made me question how did they, and more importantly, why did they invite me? Double Feature

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are back in the latest Rush Hour installment. Unfortunately, the plot is totally predictable. I managed to identify one of the bad guys about 30 minutes into the movie! However, if you just want to watch a movie that requires no thinking and ditches out a lot of laughs, this is the one for you.Rumour has it that there was supposed to be a fourth movie, but it's been cancelled due to Chris's behavior during the filming of the third film. In fact, Jackie Chan blames delay for the release of Rush Hour 3 on Chris Tucker.I find it amusing that they changed the movie title in Asia to Rogue Assassin instead. I was looking forward to it, as most Jason Statham movies are not too bad. However, I found myself disappointed with this one. But there was an unexpected twist near the end of the movie which was kinda interesting. By the way, Devon Aoki might be half Japanese, but her ability to communicate in the language is terrible!

After slightly more than 5 years of living with Lionel, things are now gonna be pretty weird. He left yesterday on an evening flight with Jonathan to begin a new chapter of his life in KL. Nelson left on a morning flight. (He has to wait at the LCCT until they actually arrive- that's like, around 8 hours!) Interesting combo: a mechanic, a lawyer, and a businessman living in the same apartment. ^.^The farewell crew was comprised of some pretty expected (and completely unexpected) people. Either than me, there was Hannah, Abel, Rosalind, Ezekiel, Adrian, Michelle, Abraham, Alex & his girlfriend, plus Jonathan's family. Those who couldn't make it like Rex and Russell, settled for phone calls or saying their farewells beforehand in church.Well, I'm now officially family-less in KK. This is gonna be interesting.

First off, even after all the covert like operations and efforts to keep stuff under wraps, the gig was up. He already suspected what was going on. Another thing is that almost everyone arrived after 7pm and started eating at different times. x.xWho was there? Rex, Imelda, Lionel, Hannah, Eric , Tiffany, Abel, Joy, Ian, & Abraham. Rodney didn't plan to join us for the dinner, but he arrived just as we were walking out of the restaurant. Alex could only meet up with us after work. Others like Russell, Sharon, Uncle Jeremiah and his family, couldn't make it, which was sad.Well, at the skating rink, we ended up just standing there looking around, deliberating, before finally deciding to go play go-karts instead, only to find out that they're closed! Oh well. Then, we went to Coffee Bean @ City Mall, only to just walk through the store (haha!) and (finally) ended up sitting around and chit chatting in Veda Blue.Sheesh. I've seen the rink, and it's SOOO small! Worked yesterday and today, but I am so NOT working tomorrow! >.When put like that, I sound so much like the spoiled brat that I am, huh? Yes, people, I was hired and was undergoing training, but I decided to drop it. Not that I can't stand working life, in fact, I like the idea of HAVING money, working 5 days a week, at a brilliant location, but the number of undesirable traits about the job were far exceeding. # The company deals in Forex. Nothing wrong with that, but they are not legally licensed by Bank Negara, in order to escape the tax requirements. It is something which they even admit openly. I have visited the website of the company which they claim they're being the middle man for, but the website is quite vague. # They consider themselves professional. And yet, so far all I've seen are printed (from the net) or photocopied information, which each worker is required to carry around as the company portfolio. Sunday was relaxing. Because the weather was too hot, the guys cancelled their jogging plans. Instead, we went over to Tanjung Aru just as the sun was about to set. The view was simply gorgeous. In fact, there was even a rainbow. Abel was the only one with a proper digital camera (which unfortunately ran out of battery) while the rest tried to improvise with their handphones.This picture was the only one that I could find on Google that comes close to the magnificent view we saw that day. Bored, bored, bored.Last weekend, I went out with Imelda for a day of shopping, and no sooner had we hit KK, I had spent... Well, an uncitable amount of cash on useless things. All in all, I bought a total of 9 books & 17 DVD's (three of which, are in poor quality). Among the stack is New York Minute, which I bought just for the hell of it, which is just a pitiful excuse for a movie.Honestly speaking, I do feel bad for not helping out with the tracting for the upcoming Roy Durman crusade last Saturday. I seem to keep on downloading songs aimlessly, no matter how hard I try to set myself down to a specific album. I managed to get pretty poor quality mp3's of Carrie Underwood & the Backstreetboys first single from their respective upcoming new albums. No matter, at least I know what to expect. Heh. Let's just say I am really looking forward to the release dates.I'm currently uploading the said promised pictures from the previous post to Flickr, but it's taking quite a while.
