Why do I hate chains? I mean, they are the capitalist American dream. Someone comes up with a good product, it sells well, they open up more locations to sell more of their successful product. Doesn't seem that bad but every time I see a Starbucks or a Barnes and Noble I cringe. I'm going to try and explain it but it's a little beyond words. My friend Dante is a chef and he throws parties for hundreds of people where he cooks fried chicken and has different artists perform. He videotapes everything and later cuts it into footage of him showing how to cook the foods he serves with different celebrity types. The result is called Dante Fried Chicken . I went to the first one in a Tribeca loft about 6 months ago and it was very impressive. It looked like Janet Jackson's "That's the way love goes" video. The food was off the hook and I wished it could be Dante Fried Chicken day everyday.Well, last Sunday Dante outdid himself. The party was held on a rooftop in Williamsburg with a view of the city.
