My Kuchipudi guru , Smt.DurgaDevi passed away last thursday.She was suffering from uterus cancer for the past one year(and I didnt know about it until the 1st of January of this year..%$^&% ppl for hiding it from me!) It was quite a sudden demise actually. She had been normal for almost 9 months and then suddenly the pains started returning.She took homeopathy treatment(for god knows why!) and refused to go for chemo therapy until the last moment(3 weeks back) when the pains became monstrous. She went to Hyderabad for the chemo-therapy treatment and she survived exactly 10 days.The day before she left for Hyderabad she called me up and made me learn some nattuvangam . I really dint expect her to not turn up. I thought once the chemo therapy was taken everything would be fine. Not true.She managed only one sitting of chemo-therapy.After that she developed anus cancer and the doctors said there was no hope for her.I was too shocked for tears when I received the message. Since I am unable to edit my previous post , I am posting this. My 7th weird habit... I eat only the seeds in lady's finger and avarakkai (i dunno what it is in english) and I eat only the skin of a potato.

I can never stand still while I brush my teeth. I got to pace up and down the bedroom to wake myself up . And I never make my bed.( A very bad habit...not a weird one)I can have entire conversations with people without them being there.They happen in my head. I try to do it a lot less now, but it used to be a major way of communication for me.I get goosebumps if someone scratches their skin with their nails. *shudders* I hate that sound.I will rather starve than eat something I don't like.I prefer the company of books to people.( Working on it... people think that I am anti-social...not good.) I love watching movies alone too. With my headphones on.I read newspapers and journals back-to-front.(Note: not novels and books) It's a weird habit I have. The last thing I read in a magazine is the index.This is actually a tag(or wtvr u call it) I found in some blog . I am not tagging anyone but if you wanna do it you are most welcome.

haha... I am here to tell you all a very happy news!! The Bombay trip I was so absolutely paethufying about was a total fiasco. Everthing went wrong . Firstly , we were 24 people travelling by train to bombay,of which, 9 were in r.a.c(reservation against cancellation). We boarded the train at 11.45 am and we dint get berths until 10 p.m . The major problem was that the 9 r.a.c s were the sets and make up artist people. Since they dint have proper seats the whole sets thingy got cramped into our compartment and we had absolutely no space to move. The 24 of us got divided in 3 compartments and the poor men-in-charge -of- taking- care- of- ladies were running here and there between the compartments. We finally, reached Bombay next day morning 12.30 and from there a bus took us to a place called Vashi. By the time we reached there and had lunch it was 4 and at 5.30 our rehearsals began, ended at 8.30 and we slept early cos our program was the next day morning 11am.Next day morning, all ...

Regardless of my infrequency in updating this blog, I assure you all that at no point of time I am going to abandon this blog . This blog is the only connection to my past and I wish to maintain it until I get a job, get married, give birth to 20 kids and finally encourage one of them to blog. I actually fantasise one of my kids reading this blog and laughing at how lame their mom was at 20.hehe.Ok , I think I made myself clear. Now back to what's happening in my life. Sem started on dec 20th and I have been busy since then with dance classes, paatu classes and in between I managed to visit my grandmom and uncle who actually live in the same city I dwell and havent met in almost a year.I dint really wanna go but I ran out of excuses. You just have no idea how I hate her! Dammit I always thought blogs were not the right place to curse people but heck I don?t care. I absolutely hate Aishwarya for mannu pottufying in my music arangetram. That bloody ass spoilt the whole show with her squeaky ?keech keech? voice . Periya Bhavadhaarini?nnu Nenappu! Nenaps Pozhaps Kedups! Argh! I am really fuming ! Kaadhulla irundhu pogai pogai?ya varudhu! Why can?t she just shut her mouth. Today was the first time I am performing carnatic music on stage and there she was, sitting right at the middle of the 5 people on stage like a Dhrishti poosinikka. I HATE HER!! All the time, singing to her own tune and never giving a damn to what the others were singing. Next time I am going to poison her before the start of the music program. No , that might not work. She might still end up singing half the program. Next time I am going to poison her the day before the program. That would be the 29th. I will just put thookka maathirai in her milk...
