2006-12-02 16:14:02 Today I went for the HP quiz and god what a mess. I, Dee and shoba participated and we lost in the prelims itself. It was horrible, as in we forgot everything about the movie- the fifth movie director, the actor who plays Lord Voldemort and many many more. So we ended up with only 3 out of 10 marks in the movies section. And I wrote the title of the book "fantastic beasts and where to find them" wrong. Sigh. Its ok you know. Next time I will do better. Still I can't believe I forgot so many things. In fact I seem to have lost touch with the wizarding world. Yesterday when I went to Lexicon I was totally confused and bewildered, shocked to see so much of info about Harry Potter on a single web site. Some people really need to get a life don?t you agree? 2006-12-02 16:14:02 I just watched the movie ?Girl , Inter rupted? starring Angelina Jolie and Winona Ryder and all I feel like saying is the movie was simply superb especially the performance of Angelina. I am not much of a film review-writer so I would spare you all from further ?oohs? and ?ahs? about the film from me. What I liked about the movie was that I could draw certain parallels of Susanna?s (Ryder?s) character in the movie to mine. I could see what I was a year or two ago- a lazy self-indulgent girl who relished destroying her life. In the movie, Susanna says?I have wasted a year of my life. I would rather be fucking in that world than bewith you (all).? Is that what I have done with myself? I was self-indulgent, yes. Enjoyed my life. I watched movies all day round, shopped whatever I wanted, and went wherever the hell I wished to. I didn?t talk to people from my own country. I kept lying to my parents and friends. What a criminal waste of time and money.I have cried while watching many movies but this was the first time I cried because I couldn't leave the theatre.Our car got flanked by 2 other cars and we were unable to leave the premises until the film ended.The movie was soooooo bad that no word in dictionary can be used to describe it. We might as well ascribe 'Vallavan' to it; synonymous with very bad, vulgar, obscene, horrid, horrible etc et cetera. If you thought the first half was lurid, the second half was spectacularly more lurid. Screenplay was bad. Dialogues were irritating . Next time Mr.Loosu payyan delivers a punch dialog I swear he is gonna get hurt real bad at where it hurts. Sooooooooooo irritating!!!!! Ugly heroines, uglier hero, loud noise called music ( I am gonna murder YSR!) ,there is nothing in the movie that warrants a numero uno position in Sun tv's top 10 movies. So i guess i will blog about it before i forget it again.In the dream i was in bangalore where I was doing an internship in a company called 'Determinants' ("What a weird name"-i said tht in my dreams too) .The company was actually in Plaza Singapura (plaza singapura came to b'lore for holidays).So Dad came with me for the first day of my internship. The Company deals with all sorts of electronic devices - right from washing machines to ipods. And guess in which section i was working? You would never guess bcos i was working in the back of the store. What i was doing you wonder. I was COOKING!! I worked in the kitchen in the back end of the shop! They treated me like a house-elf. Washing dishes ,cooking sambhar,rice etc etc.I got fed up. So i ran away from tht intern n went to work in a super market ( I thk its the carrefour ) .There, for every bill you enter ,the customer gives you tips (how nice!) . I get 10-50 cents per bil... 2006-05-20 09:32:00 Looks like an ordinary html page to u?ok..look at the url... it says http://localhost:8080/ which is the default server where you run your servlets in your machine... b4 this page is displayed thr is actually a login page in html... there i entered the name Captain Jack Sparrow and BLACKPEARL as password...this username and password is checked with the database created by me using SQL Server...they are checked whether they match or not... and when it matches a java program with html codes embedded in it is invoked which is hosted in http://localhost:8080/Ser/aliasname ..... u get wat i am trying to say?I have somehow tried very hardly to complicate this very simple piece of programming...mwuahahahahahaha More About: Programming , Program , Ming , Gram
