The Democratic Republican Rabble
2007-08-01 20:44:00
I liked this graphic from AMBD "Much like the last election, in which an unwitting populace was asked to sign off on one Skull and Bones alumni versus another, both of which wanted to keep on prosecuting a pre-emptive war externally and ratchet up the repression internally, it appears as though this election will proffer an endless line of carbon cutouts bickering over how best to "win the war on terror" and that perennial made-up villian "Al Queda"." visit The Democratic Republic a n Rabble

Did Nazis give eugenics a bad name?
2007-06-29 21:22:00
I found this ebook cleaning up my laptop, it is available for free here: http://www.whatwemaybe.org From the website: "Eugenics views itself as the fourth leg of the chair of civilization, the other three being a) a thrifty expenditure of natural resources, b) mitigation of environmental pollution, and c) maintenance of a human population not exceeding the planet’s carrying capacity. Eugenics, which can be thought of as human ecology, is thus part and parcel of the environmental movement. Humanity is defined, not as the totality of the currently living population, but as the number of people who will potentially ever live. This is a book about the struggle for human rights and parental responsibility." There is also a thought provoking collection of quotes on the topic of eugenics in Adam Parfrey's Apocalypse Culture from notable intellectuals including Albert Einstein.

War by June...????
2006-02-05 22:40:00
This is a mailing I got from a daytrading oriented newsletter I subscribe to called Stocks2Watch. Overall I find Larry Wallman's analysis sound albiet superficial. I credit Wallman with introducing me to the concept of the "secular bear market" a few years ago, which I (and most "investors" ) had no conception of at the time... Today we tend to think of the world as more civilized, but it's really just an illusion. As we speak, there are hundreds of small border fights going on around the world. There is some form of warfare going on in this big planet every single day, yet here in the US, we don't think too awful much about it. Why? Except for 9/11, we've really never entertained a full scale war on our soil. Out of sight, out of mind. But, people in Europe have no stomach for war any longer. Over the centuries they've had it all, right in their own home towns and back yards. From the roman plunders, to the English/French/Spanish wars, to WWI which cost them millions of peo...

2006-02-04 00:24:00
Another Downing St. memo has surfaced in the form of a revision to Philippe Sands' Lawless World reveals that in a conversation between Bush and Blair in January 2003, it had already been decided to attack Iraq . Dirty tricks discussed included flying a U2 spyplane in UN colours over Iraqi airspace and hoping they would shoot at it. visit Bush and Blair had already decided Iraq's fate in January 2003

Was Hitler a British agent?
2006-02-02 20:45:00
Interesting alternative history read on the Rigourous Intuition discussion board: "In 1912, Hitler traveled to England for training as an Illuminati agent which took place in German. This "training" ranged from imbibing a sense of his role in Germany's destiny to learning how to mesmerize audiences." visit Was Hitler a British agent?

5 key points that spell US economic collapse imminent
2006-01-23 01:00:00
In short: Point #1 The U.S., Great Britain and Israel are preparing to attack Iran. Point #2 U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow issued a warning recently that the U.S. Government is on the verge of collapse Point #3 Bank Of America and Compass Bank managers (probably all other U.S. banks too) have been instructing their employees in the last few weeks on how to respond to customer demands in the event of a collapse of the U.S. economy - specifically telling the employees that only agents from the Department Of Homeland Security will have authority to decide what belongings customers may have from their safe deposit boxes - and that precious metals and other valuables will not be released to U.S. citizens. The bank employees have been strictly prohibited from revealing the banks’ new "guidelines" to anyone. (however, employees have been talking to friends and family) Point #4 FEMA has activated and is currently staffing its vast network of empty internment camps with armed military ...

Possible skirmish between Iran navy and Iraq Coast guard
2006-01-18 16:56:00
From Stratfor morning intel brief: 1226 GMT -- IRAN -- Iran is investigating Iraq i accusations that Iran kidnapped an Iraqi coastguard patrol following a clash between the Iraqi ships and the Iranian coastguard, Reuters reported Jan. 18, citing Iranian envoy to Iraq Hasan Kazemi-Qomi. Iranian officials had earlier denied the incident, though Kazemi-Qomi confirmed that the Iranian coastguard stopped an Iraqi ship and the two ships escorting it while they were headed back to the gulf after unloading cargo in an Iraqi port. Kazemi-Qomi had no comment on Iraqi allegations that Tehran is holding nine members of the Iraqi coastguard.

Soviet nuclear sub acquired by unfriendlies?
2006-01-14 23:52:00
Sounds like the antics of a James-Bondian-villian but "Also, some nation, very hostile to the US, has acquired a former Soviet submarine, the atomic AKULA or TYPHOON. This is a huge sub that carried atomic missiles and can sit, submerged, on the ocean floor for long periods of time, awaiting the signal to fire its payloads. My source is beyond reproach but they do not know about this inside the Beltway at the present time. It's truly amazing what one can get if one has the money. And a crew trained by the Russians into how to operate the sub, its nuclear reactors and its missiles (also purchased were 10....the payload for AKULA is 20. 11 impending crises which aggregate into a BIG one looming
2006-01-14 19:36:00
"America and the world today are firmly mired in a General Cris is which is made up of many Great Crises , themselves made up of many little crises, which are highly interdependent and in many ways synergistic [reinforcing and multiplying each other]. This General Crisis is so vastly complex and so institutionalized that it is impossible to give more than an overview of it. The many little and Great Crises that make up the General Crisis are financial, political, and cultural. They are not scientific, technological, or primarily economic, all of which are the positive factors that are being slowly overwhelmed by the financial, political, and cultural Crises." visit 11 impending crises which aggregate into a BIG one looming

DIY instructions on compiling your own list of subversives reading banned b
2006-01-07 22:20:00
With some extra CPU cycles and a broadband connection its possible to compile your own list of citizens wanting to read books of any type of genre. This was posted via boing boing and a reader points out that some large chunks of this is made logistically easier by using the Amazon Web Services API: Vast deposits of personal information sit in databases across the internet. Terms used in phone conversations have become the grounds for federal investigation. Reputable organizations like the Catholic Worker, Greenpeace, and the Vegan Community Project, have come under scrutiny by FBI "counterterrorism" agents. The article's author goes on to hook his data-mining results into Google maps to pinpoint graphically the location of various data points. Fun. visit DIY instructions on compiling your own list of subversives reading banned books by data mining Amazon
