2007-03-25 14:57:00 I met up with Body near Atul's place and pushed off to JM Road and met Arjun there. They knew a hotel there (how could I have missed this one??) serving gujju/rajasthani food.Now, see the differentiating factor with these hotels. What do hotels in Pune usually do? Post notices like "Please Do Not Loiter", "Do Not Waste Time After Eating And Vacate Your Seats" etc outside. I know of horror stories concerning shops in Pune which could give Kotler a heart attack.Not this hotel. True to their theme, they had an authentic puppet show, mehendi session and a palm reader for the people waiting in line to get in to taste teir offerings. Was pretty innovative.On to the Part y . Was held at Trio Farms, Pune. PK has hosted a number of parties here, which I have already recorded in this blog.The remaining part is best told in pictures. Body, Gujju and Me. 2007-03-22 18:26:00 My Mumbai / Pune trip seemed destined to test my resolve, my thick skin, and my ability not to panic. :$Nitu had called me and was expecting me at Dadar by 1900hrs... And true to form, I totally messed up the local train timings and got late. Mumbai to Pune traffic (both ways, actually) tends to be pretty chaotic around holidays. Everyone wants to be where they are not. The transport guys enjoy the pickings.Poor girl was left grinding her teeth... If I wasn't her bro, I shudder to think what she would have done to me. What she DID do was sell off the tickets and take the next bus tickets. And she bullied the bus travel agent to give her a lower priced ticket. They were making profits of over a grand per ticket, she got it down to 300 bucks. Ah, the advantages of being a lawyer sister.Now, you shake a chain and repercussions occur down the links.
